My understanding of "Justification by Faith Alone" means thru the Grace of God, "FAITH" alone (not work) must come FIRST before "GOOD WORKS" (Charity of Love/Deeds) begins/starts...
It can not be WORK alone first before FAITH or both Faith and Work thru Grace justifies us at "the same time"... Our Faith Alone in God must come "FIRST" to each individual, then through our Faith in God... Good Works (Charity of Love/Deeds) will manifest or reflect on us thru the grace of God in Christ Jesus... Yes, it is true... the Bible said, "FAITH without WORK is a dead faith"... but it did not say,... "WORK without FAITH is a dead work."... Christ said, No works/deeds of man can be justified in the sight of God unless Faith thru Grace of God must come first to man... and that Faith is thru HIs Son, Christ Jesus... after that, our Charity of Love/Deeds begins/starts throughout our life in Christ and that is where our DEEDS will be judged by God on His Judgement Day (Rev. 20:12 / Roman 2:6/14:10-12)...
Therefore, FAITH "alone" must come FIRST before Good Works (Charity of Love/Deeds) begins/starts for those who truly repented and believe in God... Can not be the other way around... Amen.

All that and not one mention of the faith of Jesus Christ which is how one who is truly called can be justified.

Our Faith in Christ Jesus thru the Grace of God is justified thru the "WORK OF FAITH" (Charity of Love) and not thru the "WORK OF LAW."... for "FAITH without WORK (Deeds/Acts) is a DEAD FAITH"... (James 2:14-26). Amen.

@jvlp2046 - So, it looks like you didn’t learn anything from the 50 minute sermon from Dr. Steven Lawson.
You didn’t even meditated on his points or create a point-by-point rebuttal.
      That’s sad.
      You are close minded.
The worst part here is your view that Faith + Works = Salvation. Just like the Roman Catholics do with their Penance and Indulgences as equal to Works
The 16th century Ecumenical Council of Trent decreed “works” is necessary along with the Initium, fundamentum and radix of Faith.
Now they say that these such works are - Penance (like saying the 10 Hail Marys) and the buying of Indulgences for the forgiveness of their sins.
Please study it further. Study Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide.

G3 can something be done about these adds?! I understand 1 in the beginning, but I’m just half way thru and I’ve counted almost a dozen. Wanting to send this to LDS missionaries but find the adds really distracting. Thank you God Bless.

    TELL US AGAIN
    Tell us again
    about justification by faith alone,
for we are no different than Israel of old.
Each week we face Jordans and giants
as our memory dims - our faith grows cold -
and then we think we need to help
    the Creator of all along;
    as did Abram with Hagar.
We are blind, forgetful and wrong.
    Tell us again
how a work and an idol can slip,
like a snake, in our adamic way.
We try to placate the impeccable
    with some pitiful act or trite words we say;
when it's actually a contrite heart we need
to be humble in spirit and groan -
for his blood was and is all sufficient.
    Tell us again
    about justification by faith alone.

    - The 5 keys of Calvinism:
*1.* "God" is so so sovereign and loving that creates 100 depravated persons who hate him.
*2.* But before creating them, he lovingly chooses 90 to be in hell forever.
*3.* He is very merciful so he send his son to die for the 10 he has chosen.
*4* "God" lovingly forces this 10 to believe in his son.
*5.* Finally he forces this 10 to enter in heaven, although some of them returned to their old life, finishing worst than when they met "God".

Where does anyone come up with the idea that salvation is by faith alone, or grace alone?
The rich man asked Jesus, what must i DO to inherit eternal life?
What did Jesus say to him?
Did Jesus tell him NOTHING - you are already saved?
Did Jesus say just have faith?
Did Jesus say, it is not for you to do anything, but I will do it all for you?
    No, No, NO, NO
Jesus told him to keep his commandments.
This is also reinforced in Romans 2:1-13 where Paul states that everyone will have their eternal fate decided on judgment day - by their deeds done in this life.
I know that you hate this evidence and will most likely ignore it, but that only shows your complicit and willful defiance of the truth, and rejection of the true way unto Christ and eternal life.

      Amen!
And I’d just like to point out Noah in the Old Testament.
He had faith in God and completed a tremendous work in building an ark that saved those 8 people.
      Good Catholic doctrine.

No one. Not one...can keep God's commandments. For all have fallen short of the glory of God. To have salvation, we are told over and over and over again in scripture to repent and believe.

    • @KnightFel

@@TobyLongcore-hr5cmhe completed it because he had faith. It wasn’t the completion of the ark that saved him, but the faith. He did a good work because he had faith. He was already saved before he started working on the ark. It wasn’t faith and then build the ark and then get saved.

    • @KnightFel

The point of Christ telling him to keep the commandments was to show him that he hasn’t kept any of them and come to the realization that one cannot. Also, keep reading through Romans. Romans 2 is condemnation, it’s not good news.

Oh wow... I didn't know Martin Luther had done so much works to attain salvation... Maybe he should have read Scriptures instead of reading Paul 🫣
Nowhere in Torah does God ask us to freeze ourselves to attain closeness to Him.

    Now that's PAUL'S gospel.
And what does our Messiah say?
Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”
So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
    Mathew 19:18
He didn't get Paul's memo. 🫣 He didn't get the memo that the law was just a tutor and temporary and that no one can do it...
Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
    Mathew 5:17
And no he didn't do the law so that we can go without his Father's instructions (Torah)
