- In diesem Video geht es um die Herkunft des Namens Deutschland. Wir werden uns ansehen, wie der Name im Laufe der Geschichte entstanden ist und welche Bedeutung er hat.
Zu Beginn werden wir uns mit den Germanen beschäftigen, einem Volk, das im ersten Jahrtausend vor Christus in Mitteleuropa lebte. Die Römer nannten die Gebiete nördlich der Alpen Germania. Dieses Wort ist die Grundlage für den heutigen Namen Deutschland.
Im Mittelalter begannen sich die Germanen in verschiedene Stämme aufzuspalten. Einer dieser Stämme waren die Alemannen. Das Wort Aleman bedeutete "alle Mann" und stand somit für den Zusammenschluss mehrerer Stämme.
Im Laufe der Zeit wurde der Name Aleman zu Deutsch. Das Wort Deutsch bedeutet "zum Volk dazu gehörend". So wurde aus dem Namen eines Stammes der Name eines gesamten Volkes.
Heute ist Deutschland ein Bundesstaat mit über 83 Millionen Einwohnern. Der Name Deutschland ist ein Symbol für die Einheit dieses Volkes.
Das Video hier ist sicherlich gut gemeint. Aber nicht wirklich gut gemacht, denn das Wort ,,Deutschland" tauchte in seiner Urfassung schon lange vor dem 14. Jahrhundert auf. So wurde schon um 1198 im ,,Annolied" und bereits zuvor, vom ,,duitisce land" geschrieben. Auch wurde die Bezeichnung bereits im Mittelalter gebräuchlich, nicht erst im 19. Jahrhundert. Deutschland war ursprünglich ein überstaatlicher Begriff, für den gesamten deutschen Siedlungsraum.
