Shakedown flight from Oakland to Monterey in the Inibuilds Airbus A400M in Flight Simulator 2024

- I know how to spend my lunchtimes (and what a difference a day makes) ! Following an overly eventful first flight in the A400M last night, I took it back out during my lunch-break today and tried to right a few wrongs. We fly from Oakland down to Monterey, use Simbrief, and let the Aircraft's autopilot get to work. (Almost) everything goes like clockwork :)

During the flight I find a way around the parking brake / chocks bug in the release version of the simulator :)
Another great video, again in my home area Northern CA. The ATC message on 124.85 is the ATIS for Salinas Airport which is only about 15 miles from Monterey. 124.85 seems to be the default Com frequency in the game. It is the same in MSFS 2020. My "home" airport in the game is Livermore which is about 20 miles East of Oakland. It may be unrealistic but I have always gotten Salinas ATIS even that far out. I change the frequency from 124.85 every time I start at Livermore. You are really doing a good job with your initial evaluations in MSFS 2024. Thanks for all the effort.
The chocks thing happened to me too with the King Air. You can go outside and click on it (even if it is not there) and then you can go. I forgot to set parking brake and it started to move forward immediately, good thing you don't have to run if the plane leaves you... haha
@ 9:17 in the EFB you could've just pressed Apply Load and the info would of appeared in the MCDU ?
Thrust Lever warning: Just double check if your keyboard have a conflictual key binding for a THR LEVER of some sort...
Great video. When you were in Simbrief, what airplane did you choose? I couldn't find this plane on the list or may have missed it.
You missed the video lol.... 00:39
@@Rookblunder I didn't have the plugin added to Sim brief. So the plane never showed up on my list. I got it figured out now :)
Is this capable of rapid start? Like turning all four engines on at once, like in other military aircraft?
Did you calibrate you levers in the EFB? I never had issues.
Yep :) It's odd, isn't it (I'm guessing you're on about the warning that pops up about the throttle position?) - I'll have a play with the null zones in the throttle calibration - it's probably just that.
@ Yeah I had problems at the beginning with the reversers but inibuilds has a solution for that in the forums. And you can remove the chocks outside, then come in the cockpit, „remove“ them also in the EFB and release the parkingbrake at the very last moment. That works for me everytime.👍
@@jonbeckett Could it be that the engines aren't in "Ground Idle" but "Flight Idle". Turbo Props normally have a ground idle speed....Maybe?
Would this be available in 2020?
Nope
Only in 2035….
There is a version to buy on PC for 2020.
Still to many trees in MSFS, Seems like every bit of greenery they have made a tree when many should be bushes at the most.
