Wow, i cant believe i am going to say this. But props to Kane Cornes for a leveled and well measured response regarding Carlton.
He's a genius compared to Sam McClure
Reminder that Voss is also an ex Port Adelaide employee
@@imalwaysright
where are you going with this comment
Just asking to better understand your opinion
not wanting to cause trouble
@@imalwaysrightport has been playing better since he's been gone
Yeah I was expecting him to sink the boot in
3:50 that is hilarious. More people in the coaches box than in NASA control room
one per player hahah
haha they,re probably all confused
Sydney and Brisbane have 11 players that have played every game for 2024 so far.
Carlton 2 - Cripps and Curnow.
But Curnow is unlikely for this weekend.
Carlton - 5 @ Crips, Newman, Kennedy, Curnow and Owies.
@@Marvnation Nope only 2 for Carlton. I used Final Siren as my source. Where did u get 5?
But that’s not all because of injuries. Many were dropped on form.
@@JohnInvest17owies had been sub for 2 games, but he’s still played
@@JohnInvest17same with kennedy
I agree with Lloyd .we lost players ,that killed us ,but hawthorn were just too good ,hats off to Sam Mitchell .
Kane speaking very reasonably here
Has nothing to do with Voss being a former ex Port Adelaide assistant coach. Surely not! Reasonable, but wouldn't have this stance for any other club or coach or performance
Kane unlike Caro and some of the other clowns does actually speak honestly most times but many can’t handle the truth and bag him, many of these so called best in the business reporters just talk negative to get responses and cause disruption amongst clubs so they can then go and report breaking news
It’s produced nonsense and fake arguments. Its literally scripted who takes what side.
Well Voss has taken the club from a basket case to a prelim. Deserves some credit
get used to it, he’s one of the best around.
Whether you Love or hate Kane cornes, seeing him challenge Caro's beliefs/speculation/sub-par opinions is truly a delight to watch, haha
cant believe korn isnt kicking carltons fitness coach and 24 season to bits.
0:30 bloody hell it's not 'The West Coast' stop calling them that drives me up the flipping wall. it's either the West coast eagles or West coast, you wouldn't call them The Brisbane or The Essendon
What a difference a year makes. This time last year Carlton were on a tear. And the Hawks were nowhere. A year on and their fortunes have changed. Mismanaged players on one side and a coach utilising the best out of the players he has. That’s footy. Who’s the premiership favourite now? Your guess is as good as mine.
I remember a time earlier this season when the rest of the panel were taking victory laps bashing the Hawthorn coach, blasting Kane for hyping Sam Mitchell up as a coach
Maybe give these coaches time to implement and create change with a healthy roster. Not saying this Voss guy is the right coach, i dont know the sport quite well enough yet honestly to have that take, but i do know a slimy media that likes to crown guys one month and get them sacked from their jobs the next.
must have missed the way Kane talks about Bulldogs, Eagles, Crows, (insert other team) lol
I like how you refer to Michael Voss as "this Voss guy". I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or facetious.. as it seems you're a new watcher of the game, ... But Michael Voss was a captain of arguably one of the best sides to ever play, a 3 time premiership captain, a Brownlow medallist.
He genuinely has one of the best footy minds going around, along with Sam Mitchell.
Apologies if you knew, but by your comment, it seems you aren't aware of Voss's footballing history!
@@utetopia1620 I genuinely would not have known that lol I appreciate the insight
I started following at the tail end of hawthorn dynasty but really didn’t pay close attention till the Western flag .
Respect to him if he’s proven himself aa an Aussie competitor and mind in the same fashion as Sam Mitchell
As a blues fan Kane is right that is our high performance team letting us down with most of our players being injured at some point in the season, when this team has a fit list there one of the best in the comp
Freo dont have any media attention but they had the same problem Carlton had with our high performance guy Andrew "squat through the pain" Weber. We replaced him, but it took 18 months to see the results
I'm hoping Carlton supporters will have enough patience to see that through given the rapid fire personnel changes we're known for. I know I will, but I can't speak for others.
Freo still a premiership dark horse imo. Their mids will dominate in September
@@eponymous7910 Not this year, we're too fickle mentally and have the most important players injured. Next year our window opens
West Coast had injury problems too. Didn't stop this panel from going hard on them.
It is funny that Weddle said that because Carlton had won 12 fourth quarters this year............equal 4th in the comp heading into the game against Hawthorn.
I was going to bring up the point of taking into account more recent form, particularly as Carlton has dropped off in a big way. But my point's a non-factor because I went to go and double check the 4th quarters since the round 14 bye, and they've only lost 2, being against Port and Bulldogs.
@@cayden1710Kicked the last 5 goals against the pies. If we had 5 more minutes, Mcgovern gives that kick off to someone else or maybe with less pressure. Hes wrong about last quarters other than often we try to hold on to a lead instead of trying to extend it.
Port and GWS got us because we went too defensive.
@@iankearns774 I agree that we've tried to switch to a more defensive playing style over the last few weeks, and that's flat out not working for us. But strictly talking about the scoreboard, most of the damage done in that GWS game was done in the second and third.
By "he's wrong about last quarters," are you talking about theoneweekwonder or Weddle?
@@cayden1710 Yeah mate, good young player but at 20 maybe he needs to wait until hes played a few more games before talking things up.
Playing with dare. They said the same thing about the tigers, Collingwood, hawthorn, the dogs. Such short memories
So much Geelong 07 to their ball movement. Great to see.
10 weeks ago no way, but now West Coast comfortably beating Carlton is a genuine tip. West Coast saves Fremantle's season and knocks out Carlton's finals chances.
As a freo supporter, we don’t deserve to be there. People saying Essendon fans have it hard, we’ve always been the bridesmaid of this comp and it’s getting bloody annoying! We could have been too two, and once again we’ll miss finals. West coast will win another flag before us
@@samrobinson6396 It's the mental belief and West Coast got lucky with a magnificent coach in Mick Malthouse and maybe him knowing how Victorians think helped the Eagles? But the conditions, policies, costs, hostile fans from Victoria Park at Collingwood etc and being essentially all alone because the first several years Brisbane and Sydney were hopeless. But the West Coast accepted the challenge, put up with dodgy contracts that the MCC didn't allow West Coast to take part in giving most of our finals to lower ranked Melbourne teams and in 1992 the AFL was truly born. Eagles fans like me wear a label as arrogant, but it's worth it if we and hopefully you believe Fremantle will someday have a Premiership cup too.
@@user-vz5cq7ey2cto be honest, I’ve always hated the rivalry amongst the two WA teams, I know the eagles had it bloody hard coming into the comp, but you must admit freo did as well, but that’s ancient history. I’d honestly love to see both teams as strong as possible and pissing the vic’s off, my absolute dream would be a eagles freo grand final
@@samrobinson6396 We got close in 2006 and 2015 to a Derby Grand Final and yes rivalries can get ugly, but at least we're not the EPL fans Manchester United & Liverpool going at it. They're on another planet for some reason 😆
I just wish we hadve kept Subi oval, I know it sounds stupid, but keep that as freos home ground, and use Optus as the eagles home ground, and that would have given us as a state a better chance to hold more games over here
Clarko may have made bad moves but thats what happens. Coaches should be in more control, agree with the panel. And agree with Kane on Carlton.
I agree with Caro here on Andrew Russell - his CV from Port and (especially) Hawthorn is indisputably excellent, but the job he’s done at Carlton has been underwhelming, at best. To cite just one recent example, Cerra’s ongoing hamstring issue appears to have been appallingly mismanaged, and we’ll be lucky if he isn’t added to the lengthy “perennially crocked” list at Carlton, which includes Marchbank, Cunningham, and Jack Martin. I’m not saying all this can be chalked down to Russell alone (the recruitment team and MC share some of the responsibility), but it seems he has exerted insufficient influence to get a handle on the injury situation.
Hawthorn were vindicated in sacking Clarkson. Sadly, the HFC board didn't sack him earlier.
Clarkson is the greatest coach of all time champ
Clarkson has four premierships, my guy. I'd say they can only claim vindication once Mitchell secures several premierships-or at least one, for that matter. Right now, they've only managed to put together half a good season.
@@dunes1011 haha the Hawthorn carry on is incredible. They are 8th on the ladder. 7 better teams in the competition to this point
What makes you think that Clarko couldn’t have had hawthorn where they are now? I know he’s only won 4 premierships and 3 in a row….
@@buckleupbuckerooall times a stretch, definitely of the modern era though.
Shocked Caro isnt calling for Voss’ sacking. She LOVES people losing their jobs at footy clubs
so does Kane
Thats her job......she knows NOTHING about football. lol
5 goals up in a prelim final? That’s success? Hahaha
My goodness cornes shut up mate
What I don’t understand is all the criticism toward Bevo for not getting the most out of his list and then everyone in the media and on this video defending Voss like he’s proven he’s a good coach. He’s got the best team on paper and continuously fails. Feels like the good bloke card being pulled here.
The media doesnt like Bevo, because Bevo publicly criticized them. Bevo crucified Tom Morris.
how big is the carlton box!?!?! my god. start there lads. get more depth, rest your stars at rnd 8/9 rnd 16/17 etc and you will avoid one or two injuries. play smart not hard.
Wow, you should definitely become a coach
Put him in
Why would West Coast take Hansen when Carlton under his direction is a basket case.
“5 goals up in a prelim final”… and they lost! Dumb
The prelim hasn't been played yet
@@stevelozevski8151 last year dumb ass
Your right Caro!!
What about her left?😂
Damn dang, learn to spell YOU'RE correctly. Gee Zeus 🤦
Oh here we go again.
Tall poppy syndrome.
Look nobody plans nor wants to lose period.
Injuries impact or unsettle teams normal teams processors.
Yeah Carlton have improved, and when seriously looking at their list they are still developing. The fact remains all the AFL teams in 2024 are fairly even, not much really separating them all.
Kane will say the exact opposite about the Bulldogs
Get over it
If only we didn’t loose Liam Jones the backline we would be so much stronger
no.. blues are a rabble you guys are plain and simple shlt no excuses
What do you mean we?
Why don't you learn how to spell LOSE correctly ?? 🤷. Gee Zeus, what are you talking about a Loose screw or loose tap ?? dopey 🤦
Kane wasn’t this measured when talking about West Coasts injuries over the years
A team being coached by Michael Voss. Hmmm, I sure wonder why.
It’s a week by week basis with him. Only a year ago the media couldn’t get enough of Carlton’s downfall.
So I guess with West Coast it’s the same. They pick on teams that will give them the biggest stories
Blues have the list, the issue isnt change, the issue is getting them on the park fit. They have proven they can beat anyone with the team they have. Hawks did not play a Primes Blues outfit, they played a tired and sore injury riddle Blues outfit.
Two games to go. So what does Kane say if
Hawks miss the finals
Seriously who cares
Hawks will only miss the finals if their heads get too big and they become complacent.
As long as they attack, they can destroy anyone.
When they back off and play defensive, my grandmother can beat them.
hawthorn premiers .. they are playing the best footy
You journalists wreck every body’s career as I said injuries kill football teams don’t you think our bodies can only do so much there not machines give these officials some credibility
blues suck champ
The passengers will need to stand up!
Can’t the injuries just be put down to bad luck?
No they can’t, because that’s too difficult for blues nuffie fans to comprehend, as they need a person to blame.
And bad luck is not an exciting story for the media to publish.
There is no such thing as luck🤔 However, there is poor player management, and then injuries are a by-product.
Carlton, knowing Charlie Curnows ankle was so bad, should have rested him. The whole team looked extremely tired, so it was no surprise that a few did soft tissue injuries as there were fewer players to rotate, which put more stress on players, which in turn caused the soft tissue injuries😔
Carlton have used 36 of their 42 ( 40 when you take Doc and SOS out) listed players this year. Most in the comp. Never been a side in history that could have won the flag using that many players. Blah blah all you like bit it’s just a fact. If you have to constantly be using your bottom 10 listed players you will never win a flag.
It doesn't help when their depth players are always injured, too?🤔 Like Marchbank, Sam Durdin, cunners, and Martin,..ect?!
Carlton needs to cut they away and recruit reliable players, as the best ability is availability😉
& staying on your feet 🤷.
Hawthorn kicking game make no mistake. Back to the future
Carlton will make the finals, but yes changes need to be made and we know one is already gone.
no they won't they are a rabble
Bottom 8 next year
Gee, the one person who has played footy is the only person who was talking sense.
Carlton have a beautiful spine, a couple of great onballers but their flankers, smalls and outside players are ordinary. They have no slice and dice, just a straight lines team with the ball and lack of pace too.
How does Voss avoid criticism?
He almost got us to a grand final last year and this year he got us to 2nd spot something has gone horribly wrong over the last seven weeks and trying to use Vossi if that’s what you’re trying to say as an excuse for our downfall and I think you need to look in the mirror
Being a former Port Adelaide assistant coach
I wish Jabba the Hutt would stop butting in and over talking people
The swollen one
Go the hawkers
Modern game is based on speed , youth and speed are paramount hence Hawthorn,GWS and Freo for example. The way I see it Carlton are exposed in this area through the mid , the backline , outside and forward so that mounts to across the field. They have some absolute guns Cripps , Walsh , Weitering , Curnow and McKay to state a few but all lack the speed of today’s football.Need to build pace around these boys or that window will continue to close.
Collingwood won last year's premiership with a pretty old list and the year before Geelong won it with an even older list
@@stevelozevski8151 and before that Melbourne won and they aren't fast, either🤔
Reason I only watch these clips and not the show is Karo and her big mouth
Can caro just come out and expose her own regrets of her commentry, most things she says in the past she has contradicted. Clearly needs to stick with finding the juicy gossip for the women’s day magazine and leave the footy world alone for being just footy.
the show is basically gossip for blokes
Wow 5 days ago is now outdated. If they hadnt thrown away the Adelaide game earlier n the year, they would be threatenng top 4 finish . Media Pillocks
