    Thank you so much for sharing Tomo, I like the sound of that orange wood because it stops the notes from ringing so I can really hear the jazz line notes you were playing open up. The 1625 is a great progression, wonderful for song writing or just jamming the drop 3rd also sounds wonderful! Thanks again for sharing.

    I'm a unable to say how much pleasure I have to learn music lesson and langage too... Yout explanations are the most of the time perfectly understable even for me, a french !
    Thank you for give us these kind of peacefull in music theory approach.
    The sound of this guitar is so well in accordance with this lesson : simplicity, patience to learn, different sound... Almost like the impression I have when I practice on my Godin nylon Multi Ac without amplifier.
    You gave me the whish to welcome to a Black Juniper Rubber bridge guitar in my home, but saddly, Orangewood is not sale in France for the moment.
    So I'll wait for the moment they'll find a dealer in France or in Europe.

      Thank you so much! So happy to hear that! My English is my 2nd language so I try to say thing clearly and I don't assume people understand anything easy. I don't mind to repeat same thing over and over. My job is to make people happy. My music theory is not coming from any books. Coming from music & my musical experiences. I love simplicity & limitation. One way you can do is to find your friend who lives in USA... then ask that person to buy it & ship it. Thank you.

My knowledge in music are "light", I've learned to play guitar by myself long time ago, listening and watching musiciens. I've had the chance to be able to play and sing (my first contact with the music), on stage many times a year, still today.
      Today in retire, I've more time to give to the music, and the web give me so many informations I missed. You've a special place in my UA-cam « coach team", because of your spirit of teaching and personnality.

    Dumb question that always hangs me up when looking at theory. At 1:22 when you start, why is your first note a B flat and not A sharp? Aren't they both the same note?

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic  2 місяці тому +2

      Good question! Bb note & A# are same note but different function.
      This case, Key of Bb... very common key. So 1 6 2 5 is Bb G C F... Very strange to think A# G C F ...

    Buy the modern method for guirtar. The digital version is super simple on 21 dollars. It's the second best thing I've done other than coming here and being a pain in the neck! At least if you want to be able to communicate effectively. I'm so embarrassed. I don't know beats or measures.I can do it, but if you said, play me 8th notes....???? Huh. Show me. Oh ok i can do that. I've already accumulated some of the skills, but I'm starting from the first page. It's all been right here for me, and I looked right past it. Many, many thanks!

      I keep coming here cause ppl are sick of hearing me talk about this, but I'm proud of myself! I just did the first exercise in the book sight reading, and i did it right! I'm not trying to make it sound easy. If it was, i would have gotten rid of this thing two years ago! It's doable! I'm 45. And the internet says I'm too old. And my brain will be slow. Well, I've never written a thing down til two days ago. It's all up in my head! So never let anyone tell you you're too old. You're not. Or, too, whatever.
      My brain is a chaotic mess at times. SO IF I CAN DO IT ANYONE CAN DO IT.
