- My buddy Jaime loves his carbon fiber and in this video we go to the removal ANDN install process of his new carbon fiber steering wheel for his ATSV the process is similar for the CTS 3 gen models .

Thank you for this video, very clear explanation/steps, and a great look at this wheel from SCGarageworks. I'm thinking about getting a custom CF/leather wheel for my 3rd gen CTS-V. The wheel will probably be pretty similar (regular CF, smooth leather, and a red centre stripe). I want to make small, subtle custom touches to my car, not go too overboard. The car already has the OEM CF spoiler, splitter and rear diffuser, along with the dashboard and door trim. I think the wheel would be a really nice addition.

Where did he get the carbon fiber splitter
How the hell did you get the tabs out to start? Can’t see them and sticking a Allen wrench in a dark hole I can’t see in is no fun
You have to push on them not get them out take the tool feel around and push on the tabs
Hey do you know where a 12v wire would be for my steering wheel with led shift light?
I’m not 100% but I believe with those you have tap in to the wiring for the clock spring , I believe the blue one has the 12v but again I’m not 100% also be careful when tapping in cause a short or improper connection can cause your air bags to deploy .
Can we upgrade our ATS steering wheel to heated steering wheel
That I’m not sure off you would have to look if wiring needs to be done for it , or it’s the same wiring as current set up

Yes it will
I thought those steering wheels lock while he holding it just asking
Cause you don’t want to damage the clock spring for one and also you want to make sure that it stays lined up , you don’t want to use the lock to remove the nut .
