With the volume at 10 and split, the pickups sound like P90s. Volume rolled back to 7, and they sound like proper F-style single coils. Remarkable and super versatile!
Verde is Spanish for Green. Eriza is the name of the PRS employee that came up with the color - hence Eriza Verde.
Eriza is also Spanish for when your skin gets goosebumps. Goosebump green might not be a nice color name in English.

The sunburst 24-08 is my first PRS. I’ve had it for nearly a year and I could not be happier. The sound is fantastic and it feels so good to play. It has the intonation and precision of a guitar 3 times it’s price and it’s absolutely amazing to look at and hold in your hands. I highly, highly recommend this incredible instrument to any player looking for his next favorite guitar.
Its a good time to be a guitar player. Can't lose with so many affordable, great guitars being made today.

That may be the best intro jam ya’ll have ever done. Pete’s tone in this was absolutely phenomenal.
I have the Vintage Sunburst SE 24-08. The fit and finish including fret ends are something you’d expect on a guitar at twice the price.
The TCI pickups sound great split also. PRS is just knocking it out of the park.
I do like the 24-08 but I got one with a couple splits on the fretboard (about 1-2 frets long near the 3rd fret) and a badly bent tone knob/pot. Plays amazingly but I'm disappointed that it made it through QC
When you're using the coil split, is it the same volume than the full humbucker?

Great demo as always. Got the Green SE 24-08. Perfect set up from the factory .. for me .. and looks beautiful “in the flesh” … sounds great. Great playability/fret finish. Worth every penny.
Got an Eriza verde 24-08 in April from you guys, really loving it. Such a variety of tones, the necks a little wide compared to what I’m used to (modern c’s) but used to it already and loving it. Beautiful playability. Looks incredible. Overall really pleased with it.
I’m torn between the two colors. I’ve been thinking the green might be too much for me. How is it in person? I like that the headstock and back are that nice light colored wood.

I’ve had my 24/08 Eriza Verde a week now and I can’t put it down. Great tones. Not just a pretty thing. I have a Gibson and a Tele and this is my latest acquisition, I have no regrets.
How do the clean tones compare to a tele?
How do the single coil crunchy tones compare to the tele bridge?
Would you retire the other 2 guitars for the PRS?

They should include what pedal board/amp set up they're playing thru. Although I know first hand 24-08 is actually a real nice playing axe, plugging into a 3k + amp/pedal rig set up should make the nastiest of guitars sound better than they should.

I got a 2021 Fade Blue PRS SE in March from Anderton’s and they are killer. Been a strat player all my life, but fancied a humbucker guitar for a change and this PRS is pushing me in new directions (out of a rut even) as It squeals, growls, has splitting coils and 24 frets… the neck quality is excellent and the thin/wide fits me better than the strats (if only I had known all these years). I added the locking tuners (again from Andertons) and it is so nice (and fun) to play I haven’t touched the strats in a few months.

I just watched the video on the regular SE 24 and commented that the pickups sounded thin. No such problem here! These sound great, especially in the hands of Danish Pete! For an extra $70, I’ll take this one!

I have been looking all over lately for the Eriza Verde version of this PRS guitar to add to my ever expanding collection. All of the major guitar sellers in the USA are out of it at the moment. Plenty of Tangerine color in stock though, but there is just something amazing about that green color. My wife wants to take a trip to England someday. I told her that we can go ONLY if we can go to Guildford and stop by (possibly camp out in) Anderton's. Great job as usual guys!🎸🎸🎸

@@fluffykittynoodles Thanks for the tip. I managed to get the guitar from Musician's Friend, delivered in 3 days. This is one sweet playing guitar, right from the factory. All I had to adjust was a couple of string saddles for correct intonation. The neck is straight, and the string height is perfect, right out of the box. No fret buzzing on any fret/string, which is amazing in itself. This guitar plays as good or better than some guitars that cost 4+ times the price. That is no exaggeration. PRS must really monitor the quality control on the SE model guitars in their Indonesian factory. The pickups sound great in both Humbucker and single coil modes. The guitar comes from the factory with PRS Classic 9-42 strings, so it is a bit on the "bright" side unless you tune down a half- step. I am used to playing Ernie Ball 10's, but I will probably leave the 9's on this guitar, for now anyway. The guitar also comes with a very nice soft brown nylon case that has "SE" embroidered on it in black. Oh, and did I mention that amazing green color? You have to really see it in person to appreciate it. I am not normally a fan of green anything, but it was the only guitar color I didn't have....lol. The only thing I might change on the guitar is to install the new PRS SE model locking tuners. The one thing I have added to the guitar is a green and magenta Paisley patterned Joe Satriani guitar strap. It really compliments the guitar color. If you are looking for a really nice guitar, that won't break the bank, try out one of these PRS SE Custom 24-08 models. You won't be disappointed.🎸🎸🎸

I have an Eriza Verde, they look awesome in the flesh and play well. Prefer playing this over my American Fender Strat. Sounds great through a blues junior.

Back here watching again, LOVED these when they came out, but I just wasn't crazy about the colors. Then the Standard SE came out this year, which was more my taste in colors. I got the natural wood grain one and couldn't be more pleased. It's yhe best guitar for the money, hands down!
This is exactly my thought. Might have to downgrade to the Standard to get that nice tobacco burst.

I love the 24-08, but the 509 and Special 22 are still my favorite PRS guitars of all time.
The 22 fret 25 inch scale is now standard in wide fat and wide thin profiles and I am a fan of that one also! I would like to try a 24 one day!

Demonic, harmonic, pentatonics (with some gin & tonics). Great opening Jam. That Verde sounded like a sax. But both guitars sounded AMAZING!

I just picked up one of the new PRS Zach Myers (blue). It has the wide/fat satin neck which is sooooo freaking smooth, puts my Gibson satin necks to shame. Definitely getting more quality than what you pay for. If you can get one, buy it !
I can second this. I picked this up too. It's a LOT of sweet guitar for the money.
I played one in a store a few months ago. It was heavy, had fret sprout, the pickups sounded dull (probably the setup's fault) and the neck was way to fat for me. Not to my liking at all. Very pretty guitar though!

Nice jam, got 2 custom 24 SE and these do seem to sound better. I hope they fixed the nut shaping both mine are too narrow and the pick-ups are a bit dull and lifeless but fairly useful.
Anderton enjoys playing he keeps holding his hand up like a cowboy riding a horse. I got mine got that Ariza Verde, love the overtones with gain.

Check out Phillip McKnight's video on this guitar. He runs through some setup stuff including a precaution with the bridge screws.

all you need is a push pull switch to split the pickups as the meyers guitar is wired for coil splitting
I just picked up this same guitar but with push-pull on tone switch for coil split and a 5-way blade switch
The only thing I don't really like about PRS guitars is the control layout. When Pete was playing you could clearly see the tremolo arm in the way of those mini switches. I've also never liked the pickup selector position away at the back. There's plenty room to put that selector near that upper horn for example.
Pete's edited line was amazing in the original....... They edited it since they uploaded it.... But I, like the North, remember.
I've had 2 Zack Myers SE's and they were both Les Paul heavy.
My SE Custom 24-08 in Eriza Verde is Strat light.
Black Gold Sunburst on the PRS SE Paul's Guitar is simply gorgeous. So gorgeous, in fact, I'm willing to pay a little more and give up 2 frets and a tremolo to get it. Other that those two things and a fatter neck, are there any other differences between the SE Paul's Guitar and the SE Custom 24-08? Pickups? Tuners?

My old girlfriend liked the humbugger mode. And I also play a lot in gin-and-tonic. Attempted comedy aside, these PRS SEs are verrry interesting and should be considered for folks who've been mulling over asian made Schecters and LTDs, which are actually step-brothers in a way. The PRS SE are made the same way in the same places. Any arguments from the peanut gallery? Nice review guys.

Dunlop Cry Baby junior, Boss TU-3, Origin effects Cali 76, Thorpy The Dane, Browne Amplification Protein, then all the new Universal Audio FX and a Boss RC10 looper.. All going into a Victory DP40 head and cab. Hope that helps.

10:31 maybe this has already been done, but a "string gauge blind fold challenge" would be awesome! I'm curious if Lee or Pete can hear the difference between different gauges. The feel is pretty obvious, but I don't think the tone is as obvious as some people think. Make it happen! if it already has been made, then links please!

Besides two more options, these extra switches allow to keep one split and change pickups like on a HS / HSS guitar...

It's not a new thing at all. I have a 24-fret 1984 Ibanez Roadstar 2 super-strat with Ibanez Lo-Pro double-locking trem with split humbuckers in both bridge and neck positions. The split for each pickup is on each of the independent push-pull volume knobs. This gives exactly the same 8 switching options as the Eriza Verde. Both are great guitars and the tone variations are immense.
That green color was named after someone at the PRS factory that made it up
Humbucker at the bridge and split at the neck is how I play my Les Paul - great sound!

How can you judge moderately priced guitars when they are being played through a pedal board that probably cost as much as the guitar and then through an amp that probably cost 3-4 times the cost of the guitar?
Just play them direct into a VoxAC15 or a Blues Junior and a cheap drive pedal for some dirt. That would be more like the experience a punter may have trying out one of these guitars.
I'd go along with that.
Hahah yeah I always laugh at reviews that are like “ Hey, let’s try out this $300 student guitar.( *plugs into Marshall Plexi 4x12*) Hey it sounds really good!” 😂 It’s like, no dude, the plexi sounds good. The guitar is a POS.
Well.. Then they should bring a student to play them aswell, because you won't sound like Pete even with the same equipment

Doesn’t matter as much the cost of the gear, but rather using the same gear. That way you hear the difference in the guitars as the amp would always be the same. The amp being the control. That was like the coolest comment ever made by a human before or to come. 🤦♂️
Love the SE range just wish they’d do a Silver Sky and also not use zebra pickups in the Custom 24’s.
If you can find some leftover 35th anniversary 24's, theyre kinda 24-08 without zebras.

I have been hunting this guitar for few months now. Seems like it is super hard to get on EU currently.
Really want a Green PRS 24 Custom. But Not that green, eew! Maybe have to save up till my seventy second birthday, and buy the real deal.
I wish they’d do more SE’s with matching headstock because that Zack Myers looks phenomenal.
I’d been searching for one of the limited edition Custom 24’s in the charcoal blue fade but I may be swayed by these, just not as much of a fan of the zebra pickups and plain headstock personally.
