Carl Sandburg Junior High Robbinsdale: The Battle Hymn of the Republic

Since 1968 it has been the tradition to sing Battle Hymn as the closing number of our Spring Concert. This clip is from the last year that Sandburg was a junior high, 1988. It was also a tradition to invite former choir students to come back and sing. I was always gratified to see so many return each year - some still in high school and others in and graduated from college. It proves once again, the power and joy of music. I am humbled to have been a part of their junior high musical experience. They were/are some remarkable young people. Enjoy!

I had Mr. Schirmacher for choir for 3 years while at Carl Sandburg. It was one of my favorite classes and brings me great memories. Thank you Mr. Schirmacher. 😁❤️😻
