READ BEFORE COMMENTING "NOT A RAIN-X REVIEW" To everyone who has watched this review and to those who have commented, I thank you. However, after more than two months of answering hundreds of comments, I will no longer be replying to comments mentioning products not reviewed in this video. This is mostly due to the large number of people wishing to comment on a product that was not mentioned in the review (Rain-X). I'm fully aware of that product, its beading properties, and functionality when the vehicle is in motion. However, this review was intended to compare this product functionalities with its advertising videos, videos that show the product being applied to a stationary vehicle and sprayed with a garden hose revealing a crystal clear windscreen with NO water beading. I do hope this review continues to help people save their money based on having viewed these online advertising videos and subsequently doing some research on UA-cam. And I will still respond to relevant comments in relation to this actual review comparison. Cheers Andy 👍
Wow thank you Andy!! Your review was so very helpful and i'm so glad i saw it before i purchased. It definitely pays to do some research before you purchase! 🙂🙂
Hi Charles, I appreciate you taking the time to comment on the review and agree with what you say regarding starting with a clean windscreen and that the product works best when the vehicle is moving. I obviously didn't make it clear enough in my video, but the dirt I showed on the windscreen when sitting in the car was actually on the inside. I did clean the outside of the windscreen off camera to try to shorten the video length. I tested the water shedding capability of the product while the vehicle was stationary in order to compare to the advertising videos, which are demonstrated on a stationary vehicle and sprayed with a hose and show the water sheeting off completely. I alluded to this in my closing comments when talking about the obvious AI generated advertising videos. I apologise for not making these points clear enough in my commentary. As for the Rain-X product, I'm not sure where you are living, but here in Australia, you can still buy Rain-X at Supercheap Auto, Repco, and Autobarn. I'm glad you at least got some useful information on how to open and fill the applicator with the cleaning solution. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Appreciate you making the video, had been looking for a test video for this for ages, something fishy when then they have to advertise so hard, literally been inundated with this advert 😅
Just received this product. Directions were All in Chinese. Just finding your video,a bit too late I’am afraid. I now have a useless product that I can’t return. Thank you for the video. I wasn’t subscribed, but I’am now.
@judithgarner585 Ahhh, sorry to hear you didn't see the review before purchasing. Thank you for watching and commenting and also your subscription. Cheers Andy 👍
Thank you for the video!! I just tried it and had the same results. Made the windows worse!! Came online looking for others reviews thinking I may have done something wrong. Nope, I agree with your findings 100%.
@01hienzys Oh, sorry to hear you didn't find the review until you had already purchased this scam product. Oh well, lesson learned I guess. Thanks for watching and commenting, Cheers Andy 👍
Really appreciate this review - friend bought it for me as I'm having trouble seeing through my classic car windows when raining hard - so glad I've not bothered to try it ....
@junemoore2731 You are very welcome. I know the feeling. I have a restored classic 1977 LX SLR Torana with Tiny Little 47-year-old wiper technology. But there is not a chance in hell I'd be putting this crap on my Torana. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
I zoomed in on the label on the clear oval cap that’s on the red Handel, and the instructions are there, but I do not know how to post those here, or even if I can.
The beading is what your after , as soon as you drive the air blows the beads straight off the glass - you don’t need wipers most of the time . I use this on motorcycle visors and windscreens -it gives massively improved visibility . Helpful hint - don’t put it on the inside - it fold up . If your going to test it - test it in operating conditions .
@jondavies2583 Hi Jon, I agree with you on how the product actually works as in the wind is intended to blow the beads off. However, all the advertising shows the product sheeting the water off while the vehicle is standing still. Also, they show how it works so as to make your side mirrors sheet clear of water for reversing, and the wind will not affect those. It is for those reasons that I reviewed the product standing still and sprayed it with a hose. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
I watched your video just to see how to actually use the product. Mine came with text in English, but frankly not much more helpful than Chinese. I was interested in the comment about whether beading was in fact what you want. And I agree that when you are not in motion the beating would be distracting rather than helpful. I actually bought three of these, And now it seems they will be headed for the trash. Wish I had seen your video before buying.
@wickham53 Yes, apparently, some people have received the English instruction version (not that they are much assistance lol). As for the beading issue, it would depend mostly on the type of driving you do. If you do predominantly hyw travel at a speed of 60mph/100kmh, then it would make some sense. But for your average city/town driver doing a maximum 35mph/60kph or slower, it's useless as the beads don't slide off the windscreen at all at those speeds. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@LeeGlasson-r8e You're welcome Lee, shame I didn't get the video uploaded earlier for you, but it may help others make an informed choice. Thanks for watching mate.
Terrable purchasing instructions. I only discovered you could buy the liquid seperately after watching this video. I did purchase the applicators though thinking they would arrive prefilled. Well nothing in the instructions says I can't use potato juice or Rain-X instead with my applicators.😅-Great review Thank you!
I got this stuff other day for my shower screen and car . I did find it worked better when the glass was wet. A couple of glass panels I had to do it a couple of times but the smell of the stuff inside does smell like safety glasses cleaner . It has worked for me tho. Great video
Great review video Andy. You saved me from wasting my time and this product creates more of a problem. I hope so many people can see your video before creating problems for themselves.
I bought this and discovered there were no instructions. Found your video. Wish I had saw this before buying. Thank you so much! I hope others will find your video BEFORE Buying. :)
@aefelton9804 Yer, it's a shame sellers are permitted to create these advertising videos that completely misrepresent the way their product does or "doesn't" work. Sorry you found the review too late to save your cash. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Andy 👍
I found your video after i googled the only words in English on the product. Sadly i have fallen for the ad, too late for me, but others take note, giving usless stocking fillers is what christmas is all about lol, so i will show your video to whom i brought them for so lesson learned, thanks x😮
Thanks for the video, Andy. I appreciate your kind intention of helping others not waste our money. Thumbs-up, all the way! My only wish, is that I'd seen it 3 weeks ago; ... and I had considered purchasing the 3-bottle deal. (I'm glad that I only did the single). I encountered the same result. Happy New Year to you (judging by the steering wheel's right-side position, it's already New Year for you.) I really liked most of those HOLDEN cars ... several ("American") performance-oriented vehicles were Aussie-produced (the 17-digit VIN begins with "6", to signify Aus. origin). - Pontiac GTO - Pontiac G8 , "GXP" - Chevrolet Super Sport ("ess ess" to the youngsters) - Chevrolet Caprice PPV (it's either "Police Pursuit Vehicle" or "Police Patrol Vehicle" ... I'm unsure)
You're very welcome Robert. Happy New Year to you also. It is VERY sad that the Holden company was allowed to (or should I say forced to, by successive right-wing governments) whither and die 😢. They made some of the most iconic muscle cars from the 60s, 70s, and 80s right through to the awesome supercharged GTSs in the 2000s highlighted by the monstrous GTSR W1, the likes of which will never be produced again. Some of the early Holdens that could be purchased for around $3,000 to $4,000 when first made (now restored) are selling for between $130,000 (SLR5000) and $450,000 (Torana A9X) depending on the year, model and restoration qualities. The Holden legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of millions of Aussies. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
I bought it in temu and needed directions so i found your video but I thought it was for the inside screen to remove oil. My windshield fogs up a lot inside and i was hoping this might help us
Unfortunately, this is a hydrophobic liquid coating that is used to repel water molecules and is designed to be used on the exterior windscreen. Sorry to hear you have wasted your money. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Is it supposed to act like Rainex - where the water beads ups and blows off in motion? With Rainex they recommend cleaning the windscreen before applying.
Yep, I'm fully aware of that info. As you would have seen, if you had read my pinned comment at the top of the comments section. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@jojosmooth Hey Jojo, you are very welcome. I have looked around for a while, trying to find a good quality product that will actually improve water sheeting, rather than the water beading created by this product (and others like it), but unfortunately I haven't found anything. I shall keep searching, and if I do find something that works, I will definitely post a video. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Andy 👍
The instructions I found on line added a further step to finish, a wash & wipe-off of residue with a microfibre cloth. I'm going to try this but only on a side window of my car as I don't want to risk messing up my winscreen Thanks for the video
OK, I'm not sure that will make much difference, but please let us know how it goes when you're done. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Wow! You are totally right! No instructions and it does not work! Just as you have demonstrated, quite the opposite!!! Thank you very much! I will not even try it!!!
@brianthornton6068 Hi mate, as I said in the video, there were no english instructions on the box (there wasn't even a box, just a post bag). Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Andy 👍
Ledgend, thank you kindly for your time & efforts, friend. Bought some before your vlog but your filling instructions saved my sanity!. If the fluid turns out to be junk, as yours was, hey...you live & learn, eh, chap! But I li,e the idea of usi g the sponges for rainex or windowlene or similar. Was nice to watch, just to see some sun and decent weather, mate.......I'm in the UK......so that doesnt happen here! Keep smilin, bloke.
@georgezuss2925 Yer mate, the applicator is probably the most useful part of the product, and you're right it took me some time to figure out how to get the cleaning fluid inside and flowing. You would be heading towards winter quite rapidly over in the UK, so not too many sunny days for you for a while, lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@johndinh1977 Your very welcome John. I'm pleased you got the information you needed out of the review. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Thanks Andy appreciate the review the beading reminds me of when ive waxed the car and the water stands on the paintwork , which is why we don't wax our windows . Great review
@edsmith4821 Yes, I totally agree. When you get droplets sitting on your car, you can easily end up with hard water stains, which are a bugger to remove. Thanks for watching and commenting with your kind words mate. Cheers Andy 👍
Thanks for uploading the video as I literally had no idea how to use this product, but I have to tell you that your test is flawed. You need to start with a thoroughly clean windscreen as applying a coating to a dirty screen is pointless. Once cleaned and then let to dry, applying the product is straightforward and relatively easy. Testing to see if your screen is going to clear of water while sitting in your stationery vehicle is not indicative of how this coating works. As soon as you are driving and it rains, most of the water runs off screen and the use of the wipers is much reduced. I also used this on my headlights which are plastic and they have stayed clean for a week so far, I would normally have to wash them down every few days. This product is similar to one called Rain X ( no longer available? ) that us bikers used on our helmet visors. Once again, thank you for demonstrating how to open and fill the applier, I was at the point of binning it when I found your video so keep up the good work.
I'm sorry, but I actually couldn't tell you due to the basic instructions being in Chinese. I just applied the product the same as the advertisements were showing. If you are going to try applying it and letting it dry, maybe you could get back to use and let us know if that works. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Maybe you need to buff it like Rain X fog thing. The RainX is hard as hell to buff cuz it’s like some slightly oily feel but if buffed correctly the RainX is effective somewhat.
Just curious, have you ever used Rain X? That's what these water repellant products do, cause the water to bead rather than sheet. It separates the sheet into small beads so you can see through the water. And those beads should roll up and off the windshield when you're driving. That's what you need to try now. How does the water react in rain while driving. A far as what you demonstrated, so far it's working I think.
@reeb9016 Yes, I am fully aware of Rain-X and the beading properties of these products, as I have mentioned dozens of times in the comments. This review is actually a comparison of the real-world performance of the product compared to the product advertising videos, which demonstrate the product on a stationary vehicle using a garden hose sprayed on the windscreen, which is what I have done. The advertising videos show after applying the product, and when the screen is sprayed with water, it does NOT bead, rather sheets clear. And yes, I have tested the product in the rain when driving, and frankly, it sucks big time. You have to reach speeds of around 100km/60mph before the beads start to slide efficiently off the screen, so for the average daily drive in a metropolitan area where speeds rarely reach higher than 50-60kmh it's worse than useless. As far as "It separates the water sheet into small beads so you can see through the water," I disagree. If you have glass with a thin film of water on it, you can actually see clearly through it, but when that same glass has standing beads, the beads distort the light which makes it harder to see through. Also, unlike Rain-X, this product leaves a smear on the windscreen when using the wipers, which I hope you would agree is a negative. Anyway if you like Rain-X, buy it and use it, but that's not what this review is about. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Great review. Exactly what I was expecting. Seriously people, ignore these ads, all of them, claiming to offer MIRACLE solutions to all sorts, always by people without a glimmer of credibility or provenance. Always a scam, shame on the streaming provider for allowing them to bait the vulnerable out of their money. The old adage: seems too good to be true?Wake up - skip the ad.
@TheRealGurney Yer mate, your 100% correct. You can see by the video itself that it is totally AI generated, but people WANT to believe that they can buy a product that will work wonders and they WANT to trust what their eyes are seeing. It will take a few more years for many people to work out that they can no longer trust their eyes when it comes to videos and pictures. It is the fault of the platform moderators who know the videos are scams. However, there is too much money in it for them to act responsibly. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Hi can you plz suggest some good products. On rainy days my windshield is the worst fog build up when wiper glides through worst visibility, there are water marks no matter what I do it still remains. I saw a video stating that its oil film buildup, if that's true - someone recommended 50-50 isopropyl alcohol and water works? what are your recommendations. and Much appreciated.
Hi AnshYadav. Firstly I would say that there are many different products marketed to clean windscreen and I in no way claim to be an expert on which ones are the best. You are correct when you say that there is usually an oil film (among other things) on the inside on the screen. A lot of this "grim" is from the gassing off of the many plastics/fabrics/paints/ that make up the interior of the modern car, as well as cigarette smoke and polishes used on your dash and seats. I would recommend first doing a good clean with a mild dish soap in warm water and then a rinse with fresh water, followed by a full rub with a new clay bar and barring fluid (this will remove the majority of the stubborn contaminants missed by the dish soap), then I would use a glass cleaner of your choice (personally I use "Stoner's Invisible Glass Cleaner"). I hope this information will help you avoid the worst of the fogging. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
I already bought the thing and the directions say after applying the cleaner and scrubbing, you are supposed to WIPE IT DRY with a paper towel or dry cloth before spraying water and testing it.
Thanku so VERY VERY much for your product review. I bought this for my husband and we just bought a new car (very exciting for us) and I thought this would be a great thing to go with our new car. OBVIOUSLY NOT!!! Thanku Andy for letting us making that mistake. Lesson here, don’t buy anything that u cannot read the instructions.
@georgietracy1621 You are very welcome georgietracy. It's the fact that these advertisers post AI generated videos that show the product performing in the opposite manner to what it truly does in real life that annoyed me so much I just had to make a review. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Yes the beads is what I want. Personally it’s clearer to me and that look was what I was going for. I already purchased mines. Im about to use it now 👍
Hi Ian, I'm really glad the review helped you make your decision to purchase as it is clearly the result that you are after. I hope that once you get it on the windscreen, it is as good as what you're expecting. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Thank you for the review. I bought this and there were no instructions on how to start using it. It didn't look like it worked but I think there needs to be alot more liquid as shown in the tik tok video. I will try and comment again.
@CinCitylicious Oh, OK, well, I don't do TikTok, so I've never seen that video. Give it a try and let me know how you go with it. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@DarrelHerron Hi Darren, that's interesting. I might make a second video review starting with a dry windscreen and see if that changes the result. Thanks for the feedback mate. Cheers Andy
So just in short, after reading some comments here - the products actually *work* since the beads of water is *much* less, and probably going to fall off _while driving._ Am I right? Have you tried it when driving?
@Justusson Hey mate, I'm not sure what you mean by "the beads of water is much less", as the whole point of products like this, and Rain-X etc is that they actually create more beading, but I'll just make a couple of points. First up, if you have read my pinned comment, you will have seen the review was framed in comparison to the video advertising where the product was shown working on a stationary vehicle, so in that respect it doesn't work. As far as working on a vehicle in motion, yes, I have tested it, and you have to get up around 80kmh/50mph before the beads start to efficiently slide off the windscreen. So for open roads, long-distance touring, it would probably be effective, but your average driver commuting around at town speeds, I'd have to say it does nothing. I hope this clarifies your queries. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@ It clarifies it very much! And yes, so true - to the comparison of their videos it does not work like that either. I appreciate you testing it! Sad to see them trying to fool like this. I wonder though, what it is that they have done to the windows - for them to “work” as well as they actually seem to,.. 🤔
@Justusson It's the new world of artificial intelligence I'm afraid. You can make anything look like whatever you want these days. Very deceptive, but it make them a lot of money from trusting buyers.
Thank u so much… I am about to apply the damn thing on my car now I am going to chuck it in the bin. Save me a lot of time re-washing my car. Thank u again
@lyncorrea30 Hey Lyn, I think the bin is the best place for the stuff. And yes, it's an absolute pain in the ass to clean off the glass. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@antoniog2661 Yes, your dead right, "Oil Film" is such a off putting name ay, not something you would associate with clean glass. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Thank you for the video. II had ordered them over a month ago and they finally arrived. Open the pack to see the instructions where all in Chinese. Was not sure how to open the thing but after I saw y our video I knew I was on the right track. My had are not that strong so it took a screwdriver to pry the first part open and then a pair of pliers to remove the center piece. I am going to clean the windshield first then make sure it is dry before application. I'll let you know how it goes.
Hi @VYG4300, Thanks for sharing that info. It's hard to know what the instructions say as the vast majority of people who have purchased this product received it with the instructions on Chinese. As you can see by my pinned comment, I did fully wash the exterior of the windscreen prior to applying the product and then rinsed with water. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@umrahkhan9151 OH great, I'm very pleased to hear that you saved your money 💰 hopefully more people will see the review and do the same. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Thanks for showing that the advertising for this is a sham! Which is silly, because it looks like the product might actually work in real life conditions, as beading is what you want from a products like this as that means it’s repelling the water from making a vision blurring film. The problem when companies use fake advertising, even with products that actually work like this might, is they ruin our faith in them. If the ad had just done what you did & shown a car driving with the beads flying off it would be a successful campaign! So the misleading is confusing! Keep up the good work, love it when people post real reviews for the rest of us to make a better informed decision on our purchases. It’s just a shame these days we need people like you! Thanks again.
@Mrjudsonjames Hey mate, you are very welcome, and you are also spot on. Rather than trying to deceive people into thinking their product does things it doesn't, just show what the product actually does. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Hi mate good to hear from you again. Sounds like a dud, i've used many a product for windscreens think I got them from Supercheap mostly alll seemed to work good, this one looks like a dud, hows the arm mate hope youre feeling better. Take care matey. Len.
Hey there Len, as you say, it is most definitely a dud. I've tried a few different products but I'm always looking for something better, this is not it 😂. Yer my elbow is OK for general use, but not up to swinging a hammer for smithing I'm afraid 😢. I'm not sure it will ever get back to a point where I can fire up the forge, but I'll keep working on it. Cheers mate ⚒️
@@andywright2606 Yeah I'm the same looking for something better, sometimes it ends up not the case. Gee mate hope you can get back to it one day, it would be good. So take care and good to hear from you.
So this product is just a small ceramic coating solution because ceramic coating is all the rave but it does my head in when the sun comes out and dries the water beads leaving dirty water marks all over the car
@MrTheomighty1 Yes totally agree. I went for a drive today with light drizzle and with the wipers on intermediate it just smears across the windscreen. Bloody Horrible
Hey Cobber, I'm so sorry for my slow response to your comment my friend. I kind of expected it to be snake oil but thought even if it is a review well help others save their cash 💸 . I hope your keeping well mate. Cheers Andy 👍
That thing holding your mic you can get one for your phone for less than £6 on Ali express, moving video got me feeling dizzy lol Good video tho, saved me wasting my money 👍
@dooronron69 Yer mate, I don't usually make videos with my phone. I usually use a dedicated video camera, but I had lent it to a friend to use for a long weekend, so I used the phone but won't be doing that again, lol. Anyway, I'm glad you saved your money 💰. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@@ericbuyna1428 That's fare enough. You have nothing to lose as you have already spent the dollars. Good luck. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Hey Judy, I really hope you are successful getting a refund, but I wouldn't hold my breath 😒. Please let me and the other viewers know if you're successful. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
It is working. .. sort of. It beads and sheds water when you are driving and makes the wipers work better. Rain x is an American product that works much better. Thanks for your effort.
@DeniseAcklin-f5m Hi Denise, I have addressed these points in my pinned comment if you'd like to read it. Also, I can confirm that even when driving, you have to reach speeds of around 100km/60mph before the beads slide efficiently off the windscreen, which for me when driving around town (other than on the open hwy) is useless. I'd like to add that this product (unlike Rain-X) does not make your wipers work better. It leaves a smear on the windscreen that makes the wiper work less effectively. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Rain x works great in the sense that it creates water beads and while driving these water beads slide off the windscreen with ease. When using wipers, the water wipes off with ease too and does not smear at all nor does it leave any oily film residue. I have Rain X on front, back and side windows as well as side mirrors, works great for me.
That’s exactly what you want it to do it’s the beads of water that run off easily when you’re driving, instead of the “invisible” water film that stays with the windshield and it makes it impossible to see while driving 😂
Thanks for this video, I was looking for a video like yours!! They show on their website, that in a stand still parking, the water just rolls off!! You did exactly what they showed in their video so thank you. I definitely will not be buying this product.
@MsRican143 Thank you for recognising that the review is an attempt to compare the adverts' results to the real-world results using their demonstrated methods. Quite a few commenters have not grasped that. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
okay i see many did not buy the product and a few did from the comments, well i bought it. and that middle cap to be opened for filling wont even come off. i tried with all my might, even biting that thing WONT come off... Safe to say i have not been able to test it yet. oh yeah i bought 2 brushes btw, same problem with both of em... LOL
I haven't heard that issue before, but honestly, it doesn't surprise me. It sounds like you might have a couple from a very dodgy batch. All I can suggest is getting a set of multi grips onto one of them and seeing if it will twist off. If it still won't come off, try contacting whoever you purchased from and ask for a refund. Good luck 😢. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@@andywright2606 Thanks for answering! i managed to break the 1st one and the 2nd one i got up eventually... I have now put it to the test and everything is as on your video. I still have not driven my car, i usually go between 50-80 KPH. might be of use but we will see :) Anyway great video review!
@mogj33 Great to hear, I tested it when I first put it on my windscreen and you have to get up around 80kmh before the beads start to slide off the screen efficiently. Hopefully it will work well for you.
Hi dangmaster, I'm sorry for the slow response to your comment. I'm really glad you enjoyed the review. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
I should’ve watch the video first I went and bought 3 of them to give my kids for their cars now I’m stuck here with a product that might endanger my kids visibility when driving. Maybe I’ll save the sponge for waxing the windshield with carnauba wax the old school way
@wraithny1 OH, sorry to hear you ended up stuck with 3 of them. As you say, at least you can use the applicator with another product like carnauba wax. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Wish Id watched this before I wasted my money! As you say, zero instructions, even with Google Translate I couldn’t even see how to take the applicator apart to put the liquid in. Lesson learnt!
@kimfredericks2931 Ahhh, sorry to hear you also wasted your money. My hope is that more people who do a UA-cam search before buying this product will now find my review and be able to make a more informed decision. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy
The direction are in English on package From actual package Usage method Press the apply pressure to small red dot in the center of the sponge head to squeeze out the cleaner and apply it to the surface to be cleaned. Scrub the parts to be cleaned. Then wipe off excess foam and decomposed dirt with a damp cloth or paper towel wring out the water
@ghostmann7265 I can guarantee you that the instructions were not in english on any of the actual packaging that I received, and I believe that is the case for the majority of people replying in the comments. And if you were lucky enough to get the english instructions that you kindly posted, that still does not tell you how to get the cleaning liquid inside the sponge head reservoir (that rightly arrived empty for transpiration purposes), which is why I included that method in my review. Thanks for watching and commenting with those cleaning instructions. Kind regards, Andy 👍
What are you talking about ya muppet? Because something is made in China it must be state owned and ordered and therefore any product of dubious quality shows a lack of credibility or potential for that country as a whole? Ya know it’s best to be thought of as a moron than to open your mouth and prove the point!
Firstly, I have nothing to do with this product. I find it great that you took the initiative to do a video for this product but I'm concerned that there is a bit of misinformation in your comments. You actually WANT THE BEADING..... This is called Hydrophobic Properties and prevents water from spreading out (sheeting), keeping the surface cleaner. Beads of water dry faster and move off the vehicle better when the vehicle is in motion and is less likely to leave mineral deposits. You unfortunately have it backwards when you say its better for the water to sheet and spread out. When water sheets on an unprotected surface, it spreads out and evaporates unevenly, increasing the risk of stubborn spots and sticks to the surface more. Water beading on windscreens and windows helps droplets roll off quickly, especially when driving at higher speeds. This enhances visibility in the rain, making driving safer.
Hi mate, I'm not sure if you read my pinned comment, but regardless I'm well aware of the concepts relating to hydrophobic properties. As I've mentioned in my pinned comment, this review is more a comparison between the advertising videos and the real world outcomes when undertaking the same methods used in these advertising videos. If you like the product buy it, use it and be happy. And frankly telling me the beading is what I want is incorrect, its what you want, I like the sheeting as it's much easier to see through at lower speeds than droplets, which individually refract the light And my 2005 Hilux windscreen is well past worrying about the odd hard water spot. People who see the advertising videos and expect the same results when they apply this product to their cars may find this review informative. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
@WoodByWrightHowTo You are missing the point of the review mate. It is a comparison between what the advertising videos show and the real world results. If they showed the product creating beading, then yes, it is doing as advertised, but they show the water sheeting straight off which is not what the product does.
@JenniferStewart-hk8wp Your welcome. That's what I was hoping I could do for people, save them from wasting their money. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

"NOT A RAIN-X REVIEW"
To everyone who has watched this review and to those who have commented, I thank you.

Yer its defiantly a red flag when you see the way they are pushing the product so hard ay. Thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers Andy
Just received this product. Directions were All in Chinese. Just finding your video,a bit too late I’am afraid. I now have a useless product that I can’t return. Thank you for the video. I wasn’t subscribed, but I’am now.

That is exactly the result I got...water beading on the windshield. Useless. Thanks for trying it out for us. I only wish I'd seen your film first. 😢
@LeeGlasson-r8e You're welcome Lee, shame I didn't get the video uploaded earlier for you, but it may help others make an informed choice. Thanks for watching mate.
Exactly what I had. Water pearling!
Hey mate, I reckon you have the right idea, those applicators can be used with pretty much anything. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
I got this stuff other day for my shower screen and car . I did find it worked better when the glass was wet. A couple of glass panels I had to do it a couple of times but the smell of the stuff inside does smell like safety glasses cleaner . It has worked for me tho. Great video
@trashandslash I'm glad to hear you're happy with the results. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍

Happy New Year to you (judging by the steering wheel's right-side position, it's already New Year for you.)
I really liked most of those HOLDEN cars ...
several ("American") performance-oriented vehicles were Aussie-produced
(the 17-digit VIN begins with "6", to signify Aus. origin).
- Pontiac GTO
- Pontiac G8 , "GXP"
- Chevrolet Super Sport ("ess ess" to the youngsters)
- Chevrolet Caprice PPV (it's either "Police Pursuit Vehicle" or "Police Patrol Vehicle" ...
It is useful on the inside too. It will prevent yhe misty windows.
@@annnoyezHi mate, l've never tried it on the inside, so i can't comment on that. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
I did it without wetting the windscreen first. Works a treat as per advertised. Your video helped me determine that. Keep up the good work
will try this...but on mirror/side glass area first
I wish I saw your video before I went and ordered mine .only just received them has well ,absolutely gutted
U saved me a hassle bro.. thanx a mil.. 👏👍

You saved me a few pounds. Thank you. Any similar product that actually works and you'd recommend?
@jojosmooth Hey Jojo, you are very welcome. I have looked around for a while, trying to find a good quality product that will actually improve water sheeting, rather than the water beading created by this product (and others like it), but unfortunately I haven't found anything. I shall keep searching, and if I do find something that works, I will definitely post a video. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Andy 👍
The instructions I found on line added a further step to finish, a wash & wipe-off of residue with a microfibre cloth. I'm going to try this but only on a side window of my car as I don't want to risk messing up my winscreen
Thanks for the video
OK, I'm not sure that will make much difference, but please let us know how it goes when you're done. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Wow! You are totally right! No instructions and it does not work! Just as you have demonstrated, quite the opposite!!! Thank you very much! I will not even try it!!!
Did you follow the instructions that came with it? I'm about to try this myself. There were directions on the box.
@brianthornton6068 Hi mate, as I said in the video, there were no english instructions on the box (there wasn't even a box, just a post bag). Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Andy 👍

Has anyone tried putting rain x in the brush
@@charlesduggan2980
If you look at thier ad, it shows it being done on a dirty window 🤷🏻♂️ so it never shows a clean window, just saying
Aren’t you supposed to dry it after applying?
I'm sorry, but I actually couldn't tell you due to the basic instructions being in Chinese. I just applied the product the same as the advertisements were showing. If you are going to try applying it and letting it dry, maybe you could get back to use and let us know if that works. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Maybe you need to buff it like Rain X fog thing. The RainX is hard as hell to buff cuz it’s like some slightly oily feel but if buffed correctly the RainX is effective somewhat.
@dallasstang2818 Please read my pinned comment.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you taking the time to do that.
Your very welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍 Cheers Andy

@georgietracy1621 You are very welcome georgietracy.

Hi @VYG4300, Thanks for sharing that info. It's hard to know what the instructions say as the vast majority of people who have purchased this product received it with the instructions on Chinese.

Cheers @lester2144 👍
Appreciate the heads up 👍
No problem 👍
That’s exactly what you want it to do it’s the beads of water that run off easily when you’re driving, instead of the “invisible” water film that stays with the windshield and it makes it impossible to see while driving 😂
HaHaHa, your right that invisible water film is just so hard to see through LOL. Thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers Andy
Might as well use rain_x then. why have an applicator ? Waste of money. Thanks for the video!
It’s the opposite of what the product’s video shows
Thanks Andy
I give this one a miss.
Very much appreciated
@finchyfun1 Hey mate, you are very welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy 👍
Thank you. I was just looking on how to fill it to try it. Glad I didn't use it.
Hi Karen, I'm glad you find the review useful.
Thank you so much for this review
Thank you you just saved me $10.!!

Hi JenniferStewart-hk8wp, Im pleased you didn't have to waste you $$$ like many others. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy
Cheers Andy
Thank you sir for saving me some money
@charleskiwabs5230 Your welcome Charles. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Andy
The direction are in English on package
From actual package
Usage method Press the apply pressure to small red dot in the center of the sponge head to squeeze out the cleaner and apply it to the surface to be cleaned.
Thanks dude

so much for them becoming the next superpower
Cheers Andy 👍
this. Even the pined comment missed the problem. you want it to bead up. looks like the product did exactly what you wanted.
@WoodByWrightHowTo You are missing the point of the review mate. It is a comparison between what the advertising videos show and the real world results. If they showed the product creating beading, then yes, it is doing as advertised, but they show the water sheeting straight off which is not what the product does.
Thank you 🤗 you DID same me my hard earned money … much appreciated… bloody scammers 😮 thanks again Me 😃
