Fade To Black, Master Of Puppets, Creeping Death, Enter Sandman, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Sanitarium, Disposable Heroes, Ride The Lightning, Escape, Holier Than Thou, Sad But True, Wherever I May Roam, The Unforgiven
My wife and I had a "Rock and Roll" wedding. Music and rock instrument related decorations and props for pics. Of course all music played was rock/metal. This was the song for her father- daughter dance. Him and his influence is the reason she loves rock 💙🤘🏻
Hey friend 👋…Word to the wise…the entire album Master of Puppets is a metal masterpiece. It’s great! Hell it’s worth just listening to hear Cliff Burton’s bass playing..no pick..just fingers..and an amazing bass solo that you’ll swear is an electric guitar!
Quite a song to pick as your first reaction to ever hearing this band. One of metal's greats that stood on shoulders of earlier metal giants, yet inspired and influenced so many other musicians/bands that followed. From one of their best albums. I grew up listening to them- from the early Ride the Lightning years to the Load/Reload years. It's been amazing watching these guys mellow and evolve their music over the decades. One of the GOATs.
you should listen to fade to black, until it sleeps or the day that never comes...all very differnet but beautiful and melodic at the same time...and I would recommend the live versions because they are even much more incredible live
Hi there. This song means such a lot to me. Metallica opened the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. I had heard of Metallica but never heard their music. Thay opened with 'Enter Sandman' whic today is still my favorite version. Then they did this song. Absolutely amazing, loved it. I heard later that they were so pleased to be invited to play at this show but felt that they were there just for a sound check. I don't believe that is so. They were there on their own musical merit. They were superb. On of the many highlights of an incredible day. Thank you for your reaction and for bringing back so many memories 💖
That entire concert, from start to finish, needs to be seen by every fan of great music and one of a kind collaborative performances amongst utter legends.
Elizabeth Zharoff from "The Charismatic Voice", she gives herself the benefit of reading the lyric to the songs ahead of time to understand what the story or message is about before she hears the performance.
When Suzuka Nakamoto (aka SuMetal) discovered the sound of Metallica live in 2013 she really felt the power of heavy metal sound, after that they met each other and even in 2017 BM was the support band for Metallica at live concert in South Korea. One of her favorite songs from Metallica is "Master Of Puppets", highly suggest you. Also BM got a couple of songs with some clear Metallica influence, one of the most notorious is "Babymetal Death" live at Legend 1997 is the epic and most theatrical version with also imagery tributes to Metallica. NEM is part of the fifth album (aka The Black Album) and was definitely one of the power ballads that made him famous worldwide along with The Unforgiven. I remember James Hetfield getting emotional in one of their latest concerts in Brazil 2022 because he was feeling insecure about being too old for this and all the members went to hug him in front of more than 40k fans, the struggle.😢 Btw i miss your BabyMetal reactions 🥺👉👈❤
If you loved this one, you’ll also love The Unforgiven (they actually have three songs under the Unforgiven name, it’s sort of a trilogy). All three of them are great, and very beautiful, emotional songs.
Easing into Metallica with this great ballad, love this song. They have a great, heavy but diverse catalog. Picking a single song, try Master of Puppets for a dose of core Metallica, also, if you have not seen the video for Enter Sandman, see it as well, it was arguably their biggest hit on MTV and has entered Pop Culture it is so famous. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
this was obviously one of their power ballads ... that is one of their slower songs. They have a few of these power ballads and all are good. Some of my Metallica recommendations; - Welcome Home (Sanitarium) -- this is kind of a cross between a power ballad and a heavier song - The Four Horsemen -- one of my favs, but definitely a much heavier, harder and faster song - Enter Sandman -- like Welcome Home above, a mix of power ballad and heavier - One -- Probably their most popular song for reactors, and another power ballad. If you react to this one try to not focus too much on the movie clips in the video.. I've noticed too many reactors try too hard to follow them and figure them out that they lose focus on the music and lyrics - For Whom The Bell Tolls -- another one of their heavier ones Metallica is a metal band... so the majority of their music will be fast, hard and strong... but their musicianship and their talent at writing music means that even in many of their far heavier songs you will hear "beautiful" passages that will give you goosebumps
Alright, if you can open your soul to Rush and Metallica, you have a beautiful jeourny ahead of you. Enjoy the ride. PS. To reaaly test yourself, you want to hear Depeche Mode "Enjoy the Silence" but, read the lyric first. Do not fear and enjoy the ride!
This was an unusual song by Metallica because James Hetfield (vocals/ guitar) wrote it for his then-girlfriend, trying to have a relationship while he was on tour... One of the few songs that Hetfield played a lead solo (Lead guitarist Kirk Hammett played most of Metallica's lead solos) probably because the song was personal to him... Sadly, Hetfield and his then-girlfriend broke up by 1991 just as their 5th album (self-titled, often called the 'black album') was released... he wasn't alone in heartbreak - the other 3 Metallica members (drummer Lars Ulrich, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Jason Newsted) all got divorced by 1991. If the members of Metallica looked angry in the video, it's because they were 🤬 The studio sessions for their 5th album ran a $1 million price tag and took 1 year to complete... the 4 of them were all clashing in the studio over creative direction... the album's producer Bob Rock was also arguing endlessly w/ them... James and Lars were not getting along over the album's direction... The infighting spilled into their personal lives where their marriages and relationships fell apart. In the end, Metallica had delivered a masterpiece album that sold 16 million copies in the US to date, their first #1 album w/ 5 MTV video singles - 'Enter Sandman'... 'Sad but true'... 'Wherever I may roam'... and the ballads - 'Nothing Else matters'... and 'The Unforgiven'. Despite their personal lives being ruined, Metallica went on tour in 1991 and continued touring relentlessly until 1994... They called that touring experience more challenging than the time in the studio... But they came home as multi-millionaires and Metallica as the biggest heavy metal band on the planet. They would not release a new album until 1996 - the album 'Load'... and it was a lot more commercial than the previous Metallica albums and did not have the same level of success as the self-titled 'black' album.
Mama Said, No Leaf Clover, Love Lies Bleeding in My Hands, All Within My Hands S&M2 version, The Unforgiven, The Unforgiven 2, The Day Than Never Comes, Moth Into Flame, The Memory Remains, Enter Sandman, Wherever i may Roam, Sad But True. Instrumentals - Orion, Call of Ctulhu, To Live is To Die, Suicide and Redemption I just think that the entrance to metallica should be smooth for a girl, and not immediately from the heaviest songs).
Metallica is the greatest band ever…43 years of dominating world music 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘…I have seen them 20 times….next one; “Fade to Black” including one of Kirk’s ( lead guitarist) greatest solo’s 🔥🔥🔥…we will wait a little until we ask you to react their more heavy songs (which are bangers)
*CAUTION* - This Metallica song is BY FAR their most relaxed melodic least heavy metal.. some are more rock and blues but all are more "Energetic" I would say...
For a special treat, watch their movie/documentary "A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica" Pt 1 & 2. It covers their expeiance while making the "Black" album in Pt 1 and touring afterward in Pt 2. That is where this music video was taken from. ❤🤍💙🤘
Its interesting to see the shift in music appreciation. For decades people just dismissed heavy metal as scream-o and devil music. Finally the masses are understanding why these old "dad bands" are so popular. They're actually MUSICIANS with TALENT. Not some half nekkid lady shaking her booty to some k-pop crap. Back in the day, you had to have real talent to make it big in music. Not so much anymore. Its sad.
James almost didn’t present this song to the band…Lars made him do it. Reminds me of Stephen kings first novel carrie… he almost didn’t finish it…his wife pulled it out of the trash and told him I like it finish it and the rest is history..
Lars Ulrich is the best drummer in the world. has been for many years. Keith moon was my favourite cos he was mental, but Lars is technically the drummer that all drummers aspire to emulate. double bass drum etcetera. can he's a bit of a stuck up dude, but he's still the best drummer. he's awesome. when you watch him live he's awesome to watch. master.😅
This song is absolutely perfect.
This is one of my absolute favorite songs, especially in the summer in the car with the windows open and the volume at full volume!
Greatest metal band for me. Best thing is they are still so good in live concerts as compared to other 80s bands
Solo by James is so sick
Metallica is the greatest band in history
Yeppers 👍💯❤️💰 comment of the day!!🏆
Omg yes!!!!
I got married to this song , metallica are a huge part of my life...,.

Orion!!!😅
You can't go wrong with any of their songs, they are almost always a banger.

At my wedding it was the song before the rings were exchanged. 😄
A great reaction to a great song

Been years since I have listened to metal, but Metallica has always been a favorite of mine.

Hi from Australia, I've been lucky to see them live 4 times.
