Hi Andy and thank you very much for your new videos. I am not finding the Microsoft 365 Backup on my org tenant. do we need to buy some new subscriptions or what else we are currently using for M365 E3 & E5 licenses.
when you use the dynamic date for the CPH example, does the user become a member of that group at midnight on 1-12-2023 OR 9am, or can you choose a time for that person to be a member...OR can you say if the person logs in, with credentials that have been set by the IT dept, as a part of the JML process, then they trigger the event?

Hi Andy. Thanks for more great information. I have a question for you. I have a friend of mine that would like to transition from Desktop Support and intermediate Microsoft Server Administration into a full blown Microsoft Azure/365 career situation. He's a smart guy but the locations where he has worked had just not implemented Azure or 365 yet into their workspace, so he has not been exposed to it. What training pathway would you recommend that would get him up to speed and hireable in the least amount of time? He's been in the I.T. industry already for like 20 years and shouldn't be too hard for him to catch up. Thank you for your advice. We are in the United States.
Sounds like he has the fundamentals. Personally I’d look with a Microsoft 365 operations or security tracks. MS-900 and then look at MS-102 this would give you all the essentials😊👍 all available on learn.Microsoft.com
Your explanation for and the verbiage for the Identity Protection setting you mention halfway through the video does not seem to match. The verbiage of the setting seems to imply that the user risk will be reset (lower user risk) once the password has been reset on-premise, not raise the risk level of the user. Am I somehow reading this wrong?
Perhaps an editing error here. Typically user accounts would be set at low level. Thus when a password write back happens it would raise the account to medium thus triggering an event warning.
This is correct. This feature allows users to remediate their risk level by resetting their password on prem. Previously this was only possible by resetting the password in the cloud.
@@AndyMaloneMVP I got it now. So the action of resetting a password should elevate the risk since it is a security action. The new feature simply adds the on-premise password reset as a trigger to elevate the security risk of the user.
