  • Hey guys!
Today, after a long break (sorry), we're gonna be working on the mud and dist effects for the upper hull. If you want to skip to the final iteration, skip to 13:15.
I am using VMS, AK interactive, and Wilder weathering products. However, I am not paid to promote their products, so my stated views of their are genuine. If you want to get the same products, I recommend becoming a preferred customer at Michigan Toy Soldier (michtoy.com). I buy 90% of my products from them, and they have almost everything a modeler could want. Plus, as a preferred customer, you get 10 - 20% off on almost all of their stock. I am not paid by Michigan Toy to say that, but I love shopping there, because of their great prices and selection, and thought you guys might like to know about it.

I'll never understand the excitement with VMS. I've tried basically their whole line and they never live up to the hype. Especially their super glue remover; Satellite City Super Solvent is way better and cheaper. Winsor and Newton acrylic satin varnish way, way better and cheaper. AKI Gravel and Sand fixer, yada yada. Not trying to talk trash but keep in mind people are getting paid to push certain products.

yeah I agree to an extent. A lot of their stuff has a big of a learning curve to be honest, and I was pretty disappointed with the debonder, but I may just need some practice with it.

@@ScaleStudioModeling Yeah I was super stoked when I got mine from Michtoy. Used it for a year then stumbled upon Satellite City debonder watching a wood working video. Tried it and it was a game changer. It worked so quick I thought for sure it was eating the plastic but not a mark. VMS definitely makes some good stuff but that's not one lol.

@@ScaleStudioModeling Sure man. Modeling is expensive and every little bit helps. Your stug looks good, especially the tonal gradation on the mud. Looking forward to the next one.
