This guy is a legend.
Elvis is second place next to JB when it comes to legend status let’s be real
He is, however I was tripping as he wacked his paint on a truck in that good of condition with the pry bar. But hey, his truck and hell of a useful video with a Louisiana flare!
This has to be the best DIY video EVER!
this is your second video that has helped me fix something. your entertaining and helpful all in one
Man. Thanks so much for taking the time to show us how to getter done! A thoroughly enjoyable video. Thank ya sir!
When I installed the new vents, I used a piece of painter’s tape to hold the bottom and then pushed the top in with my big pry bar. You can be gentle. Just listen for the the clip on the top to snap in to place. Easy job! Thanks to the Louisiana Cajun Recipes! I love this guy!
I like your style sir. Thank you so much for the helpful advice. Had me laughing a few times lol your personality is perfect for youtube repair videos!!
I have to admit that this has now become my favorite UA-cam video. I need to do this job and my wife was complaining about me having to take out the backseat but she inadvertently led me to my spirit animal. This guy talks like I think all day everyday and I love it! Thank you so much for the video as it helped me out a lot and also let me know that there’s at least one other badass in this world and I should’ve known he was from the south like myself. Keep on keepin on buddy. Gonna go back and watch this 9 or 10 more times.
You saved me so much time and work seriously, thank you.
This is one smart guy! THIS WORKS! It saved me hours of back breaking work replacing those leaking air vents behind the rear seats of my 2011 GMC Denali 2500HD. Thanks Chef!
Thanks for making this video I need to fix this on my truck. I discovered a great way to dry the carpet on my truck that's been having water leak issues. Pull up the plastic trim along the bottom of the doors, then put old towels in between the carpet, carpet underlayment pad, and the floor pan. The towels will draw the moisture right out of the carpet and carpet underlayment pad. it works best if they are in their flat and have lots of contact with the carpet. When the towels are wet change out for dry ones. Opening the doors on on a sunny day will finish drying them out.
Thanks so much. I'm 70 and I've always had to work on my vehicles as well but I've never been very good at it, these days I look for people like yourself who find these easy fixes. May your next UA-cam paycheck be a good one ! ! !
I have the same issue, man you are funny, thanks for posting, God Bless.
I love my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD, but I swear these things were designed in the desert, because mine leaks inside somewhere every time it rains. Thanks for the video. Now I can fix another leak.
You are the best, I just fixed my water leak, thanks for sharing the video.
You're welcome! Check the top of the new rubber seals, Make sure the are laying flat against the cabs sheet metal, One of mine folder while sliding into place. I used a butter knife to unfold the rubber.
Glad I watched your video! When putting the new vent in, tilt the top into place first and then push up and in on the bottom - it will snap right in there
Watching this has hopefully solved my water leak problem, but it leaves me another problem... It made me homesick for Scott, LA!!!
Should have seen this video earlier. Saved me a bunch of time. Thank you, Mr Luisana !!! You are the man!!
I just noticed my drivers sides all wet. Got it all dried out, just ordered a new cab vent, I'm going to follow your awesome video to pop out the old and fish in the new from underneath just like your video. Thanks for making it, next time the beers are on me bro.
Thank you so much.I have change windshield front and back and third brake lights and windows gasket. And it was those part I order them on Amazon IRS been almost 2 years leaking and 2 mechanics didn’t know.I change them without taking the seats and took 15 minutes. The leak stop. Now I need new carpet.God Bless you and I thank you so much.
Great! If you change your carpet and padding the seats will have to come out. Do like I did, remove the rear door sills, spray lysol on the padding and carpet, then use wooden blocks to lift the pad off the floor pan, put one between the pad and carpet also. Blow fans into these areas while your truck is parked w windows cracked open, I did it for a week, dried it out completely
Hey boy! That mold isn't anything to mess with. Great video.
I couldn’t find the” Love it”. So I hit the thumbs up. Love it !
Glad I just found this video. Started having this problem, but looks like an easy fix.
Thanks for the video. My 2006 been kicking my ass. Pulled front seat out to help dry the carpet out, caulked the weather stripping. Still getting wet. Will try replacing the vent next.
Boy! You can make a video about anything and I'll watch it JB! Love ya bruh!
Thank you for this i was going crazy , trying to find this leak..... very helpful
Glad I could help
Best video.... Knock out the old ones. Push in the new ones. Make sure seals aren't bent under. Done. Thanks for the guidance!
Glad it helped
raw and uncut louisiana. I love it! Thanks for the video, I knew there was an easier way then removing the seat.
You bet!
Love the video love the zero clearance creeper. I love the accent. Thank you for your help.💯🔥
iv seen so many of your food videos... the fact that I stumbled upon this because my truck has a leak, is hilarious .. also i'm a fellow cajun, born/raised/still live in Lafayette (carencro)
This guy reminds me of me, same attitude, language, and that good old Marine Corp disposition, who cares about what you think about me.
Thank you dude. I got the same issue on my 2015
Changed mine today. Easy!
Thanks for the video! WHO DAT!
Damn good to see you ‼️
Best 13:31 mins of comedy than most stand up features today.
Love this guy

Zero Clearance Creeper.... Love it
I love this guy
Great video!!
Put hashtags on your descriptions bubba. Dig your videos. Just came across your video about modifying bbq to use berquets. Put hashtags tho like #chevy #gmc #leakfix #ventdoor and youll reach alot more people! Have a good one. I like and subscribed too..
😎 Thanks for sharing Sir! 🤠
Dude, you're my hero!! Just noticed wetness under my back floor mat 06 Silverado. Didn't know about cams back there. Fixed 3rd light leak years ago and it appears to be solid. Do believe you solved my problem 😎👍🍻
Thanks for the entertainment also, I needed that
Clean truck the 06 crew cab here is trashed. Not sure if they are leaking but those vents sure are bad on it. All cracked. Good to see i can get em out w/o removing the bed
God damn it I love the way you explained shit man keep on doing what you doing preciate your help
Nice one JB
I had to replace mine but already had the seats removed. I loved your video though.😂
Hopeful video and funny too thanks a lot man
That works if you don’t have a sunroof. The drain hose for sunroof is connected to that part. The rear seat is pretty easy to remove.
Thank you big stud !!!
just come lookn 4u and found this great video cya Jimmy n Ala
I post daily on my FB page facebook.com/CookingwithJB
I've heard that mineral oil is good for rubber door gaskets. I thought you were going to make a flex seal commercial.lol
I'm north of 65 too. I gotta pull my rear seat to fish out the gal pals favorite umbrella. But may do this before that.
Just yanked the seats out of my 2007. Window leaks, 3rd break light leaks, cab vents leak, and the AC is dripping on the front floor board. Fun times, but it’s still cheaper to keep her.
Yup, gim'me gim'me back that a that younger age back! Best zero creeper, we don't get to fall off of it and beak off a piece of our pelvis! But, it's sure hard to getting back up again. GM never designs or use materials can surpass the age of brittle electric connector clips. They just wanna have you to go buy a new one from their dealer item inventory till it runs out. I even thought about soaking or coating the flaps with brake fluid to soften up the rubber. Love your gim'me back hacks!
thanks for the info. j. b.
Ty. Brotha
Will the part fit a 2008 Silverado? TIA
Legend
"Please hold for a representative" type beat
You're awesome 👌
On my 2014 gmc sierra i was able to fold the seats up stick my arm behind the liner and pop them out from the inside not hard at all
Let me go get another beer that will help 👏💯🤣
I got some hail damage on my truck would that make back of my cab leak back there or bust the brake light u think, liked your video I learned somthing new thanks!!!
Brake lite gasket is cheap n easy, do that 1st. If your truck is over 10 years old replace the vents too
The hardest part of that job was getting your ass up off the zero clearance creeper! 😂
GREAT to see you again, JB! (6:56) Funny that you mentioned him but I heard the originator of this technique is actually a Russian UA-camr named "Dirten Krapoff". Pretty weird, huh?
Hey JB- How old is this video? Is it new?
Brand new
@@007bondjb I asked because I thought that you had sworn off the beer. Are you off the wagon buddy?
It was easier as than I thought. The dumb ass GMC dealership in Murfreesboro TN, tried to charge me 450.00 labor because they say it was going to take 2 hrs t 9:32 o do. Took all but 20 minutes to do.
had same issue with 2007 I learned one thing !!! dont use regular rtv silicone on the seam seal gasket or the cab mounted brake light or back glass it will cause streaks, and bought a good brand dow corning, back glass full of streaks.210,000 miles it makes a good conversation what hell happened. now get back to making cook vids.
This guy's hilarious 😂
😂love how all us mechanics shit talk whatever project we happen to be working on. The only mechanics that dont are still kids and havent learned to swear yet
I’ve got this same problem on my 2019. I can’t find an aftermarket vent and the GM part number doesn’t pull anything up on the GM parts website. Also, there isn’t enough room between the cab and the bed to pull the vent down. Anyone having this much trouble?
Yes indeed, that’s a pain in the ass , my back window was leaking , siliconed it
Where ya at JB? Hope all is well.

My truck was covered in mold with all the damn leaks I've had.
This ft the 2014 silverado 1500?.
Yep
What are these called? I have a dodge and I get water under my back seat when it rains and I think this is my problem
GM calls em Cab vents
@@007bondjb thank you
@@derick2986 or pressure vents
Brother, you are a Hoot! Don't ever change, GOD will focus on you and leave the rest of us dumbasses alone. Ha Ha Ha..... Loved your video. Gave me a good laugh and I needed that. I'm 68 and feel your pains. Isn't Generous Motors Engineering great? (ha ha ha) Never say Die Man. Let's get a Beer now.
My HERO lolol
Hey boy! You're alive. Thought the rona got your old ass.
Nope, I post daily on my FB page facebook.com/CookingwithJB
Dont be fuckin cheap when you buy a replacment vent - get the good stuff from GM Canada. We know how to make that shit proper up here. =)
HEY PAUL!!! I'm uploading a new video talking about you close to the end
@@007bondjb Hey Jeff. I'll save that for tonite and see what your cooking. I know you dont upload but once a month so your vids are special now. Damn we're gettin old. Fuk it, old is a state of mind. We're just gettin a bit grey. haha
You Are funny
You’re hilarious
I love this fu ker
Zero clearance creeper 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seems like someone else made a video showing how to do this about a year before this video.....lol
