I will not be using these very expensive Senhieser wireless microphones much longer. There's just too much interference out there for them to be reliable. I have a different setup in mind now with a small recorder in my pocket wired to a lapel microphone. Then, maybe, I might FINALLY have decent sound one of these days. It's been a very expensive journey.

Im proud owner of 2 v12 750s e32 and e38 .... they are bulletproof, they have same normal problems like any other car.... there’s nothing to do with v12

Oh Tyler, I am thoroughly enjoying your videos. You are the has been hooptie king!! I have long been dreaming of giving my old favorite cars a go. Bravo Hoovie, bravo!
Bought a '90 325is to play with. The owner assured me the engine was gtg but within two months the head gasket leak was all too obvious. I had the head tanked and the valves cleaned up and put it back together with a few other updates. That was four years ago. I haven't put many miles on it in all this time, but it runs nice. Might re-do the suspension next. Based on this experience, if I was going to buy any old BMW again, I would plan on immediately pulling the engine and trans and rebuilding (or replacing) both and just make that part of the plan.
B B good advice! I’ve been heavily considering buying a Jeep YJ and immediately LS swapping it and redoing the suspension. Same with a 90s BMW except they would definitely do fine with a rebuild instead

The Hooptie fleet is brilliant and it's fun to see these resurrected 90s and early 2000 beasts come back to glory (in your eyes).
You definitely hit the mark with this one for BMW enthusiasts. Nice buy Hoovie. I've wanted to buy one of these with a few car buddies so we could share the cost and enjoyment of ownership; it will be very satisfying watch you do it for me. Yes but I just was saying it reminded me of my 2nd car I ever owned. I remember seeing the 850's and wanting one. One of the reasons was the curves and front end reminded me of my own car. Had nothing to do with if it was fwd or rwd. Loved the sound of the 850's with the 12.

Excellent choice. Very similar to my greatly misses E38 Sport. Best of luck. At least you won't lose sleep, wondering what's next... on the E65. Thanks so much for the video.
That was bugging me through the whole video! Both sides have the same color variation making it appear that the whole back end was replaced. Kinda looks like the front half of one car and the back half of one sorta the same color were Frankensteined together. I expected lots of comments about it!
Check out the price of intake manifold gaskets and spark plug wires for the 850ci. I've replaced both when I was working at the dealer. Over $700 for the gaskets on ECS Tuning and it was even more at the dealer of course. Good luck finding new plug wires if you need them. They took 3 weeks for BMW to have them manufactured when I replaced them back in 2008, plus they were also $700. Fun fact: it has an ecm for each side of the engine. If you unplug one it will run and drive just like it had an inline 6. Even less power of course but it works!
You're a very sick man Hoover. I thought I was bad when I bought a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC....at least that had a REAL engine. haha. Good luck on the manual swap! Looking forward to seeing that.
hugo schombourger I‘m driving a 840Ci M60 6speed every day. Driving in the city is terrible. the car is heavy like a truck..the engine has too much momentum to shift right in time from 1 to 2 and 3. In contrast at autobahn at 120mph++ the car is a pure driving machine... shifting from 6th to 5th and down to 4th gear beteeen gas is incredible perfect. But as a GT(Gran Turismo) he should be can both very good. He can make it perfect good only smooth driving in the city with Automatik or respktive on Autobahn only with Manuell Transmission.
Dankeschön, Sir... We can learn through the good stuff you do and through mistakes which we can't really get from another car youtuber! Danke! And... Great photographic angles... Weiter so!

NSX , then NSX, then NSX, then this! It would have ranked 2nd if it was the 850 CSi though
Pillarless windows make me so happy
WOW! I have always loved the 850i E31. What an amazing purchase you made, Hoovie!
I like your style! You purchase the oddball cars everyone has always wanted, but too afraid to actually own
now he needs a first gen xj12
Well said.
now he needs a Yugo
This is by far my favorite BMW ever made. I have been looking for one for years, and am so jealous that you got such a clean one!
Hoovie needs to buy a Phaeton
...a Phaeton W12.
Bryce Himelrick V10 TDI ??!!
You can't get the V10 in the US. You can in the Touareg V10 TDI, but not the Phaeton V10 TDI.
Fancy seeing you here, Bryce.
Bryce gang
Hoovie makes a wise purchase, from the original owner, at a time when these are due for a sharp rise in value.
What has happened to this channel?
You are correct, but with Hoovie's luck it's gonna need to have the whole electrical system replaced
He later wanted to get rid of it for $3500, now it's sold but I DON'T know what he sold it for
Um think again
I’m very jealous right now
Yeah but this is going to be a good one.
Such a beautiful car.
I'm not, he made up for it with the Hoovie Swoop

Stephen Mason looks like an open calibra
Stephen Mason he could actually install LED's in the front light cluster and not have to worry about the pop up headlights.
In the M8 prototype, that's exactly what they did. They removed the pop up headlights and turned the fog light cluster into the main headlights
V12. The best way to go bankrupt. Good job hoovie
Now seriously that's my dream car
Alex Pereira hmmmm....what about v16
I don't think you've ever tried changing spark plugs in an m73

pakigangsta5 that really doesn’t matter. He has a 1M+ subs and makes content.
*Holy shit hoovie, you are getting better and better at this video thing, intro was brilliant*
You're becoming my favourite UA-camr... This was my dream car growing up 😍
Really? over a BMW M1?
Gorgeous bmw(E31) in the 90’s.This car will be added to my wishlist😁
850i is the ultimate dreamcar...
It needs a new exhaust. You can't hear the V12!
I applaud you on the 80's themed video skills and music. amazing work on that.
This may be more costly than the Bentley...only time will tell
Nick Scapellato this is one of the most reliable bmw engines ever made , just saying....
Zsolt Gyergyai you're right, may as well go on to say the 850i is actually among one of the most reliable BMWs ever made
Im proud owner of 2 v12 750s e32 and e38 .... they are bulletproof, they have same normal problems like any other car.... there’s nothing to do with v12

I had a 1992 850 csi
I had a 6spd manual. But the electric parts was to high for me back then.
CSI Zone worth a lot more money in the six-figure range if they are in very good condition
A 1994 u mean. 850csi didn’t come out until 94 😏
Still own it and not planning on selling it 😉
Check out the price of intake manifold gaskets and spark plug wires for the 850ci.
As usual, Hoovie with MIC issues.
You're a very sick man Hoover. I thought I was bad when I bought a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC....at least that had a REAL engine. haha. Good luck on the manual swap! Looking forward to seeing that.
paint on quarter pannel and door don’t match, accident history?
When does your “Hoarder” episode air??
a manual swap would be great
hugo schombourger I‘m driving a 840Ci M60 6speed every day.
YESSSS I knew this was coming but still one of the best notification squad updates ever. I cant wait for all the videos. Dont ruin this please.
V12s are wallet inferno

Dankeschön, Sir... We can learn through the good stuff you do and through mistakes which we can't really get from another car youtuber! Danke! And... Great photographic angles... Weiter so!
I think wizard should be a millionaire by now.
Cant wait for follow-up video. Love the E31 look, but would never be crazy enough to buy one
Something is going to break....soon.....minimum $1,000.00.
King Miura and? Most people spend 1,000$ on beer alone every year. These cars are easy to DIY.
Pretty cheap
