And Barry is part of YTTO aswell as itstands( including the rare moroblu thatjust pulled out that car park with competitions on) think we have 12 haha. So defo agree rare;)
Hi Andy et al, keep the videos coming 👍🏻 I hope you don’t mind me reaching out to your audience. I know how passionate & well-informed TT owners are & I’m looking for advice. I’m a London-based Mk 1 TTS owner. I bought the car in 2007, (18-mth old, 8k miles) & always serviced by Audi franchise. However, 2 warning lights are on (recently diagnosed by Audi Watford) relating to rear speed sensor & ABS sensor. I can purchase a new speed sensor (I’d welcome recommendations where to get fitted). More challenging is finding a replacement ABS unit which Audi no longer provide. I’ve found used on eBay & breakers website but reluctant to buy without being able to check it works. Moreover, I need to find someone who can replace the ABS unit (& confirm it works before fitting). If anyone can recommend an Audi specialist (preferably within Greater London but I’ll consider anywhere!) that can replace the ABS (& speed sensor) I’d be extremely grateful.
Hi Steven. I would expect a 2007 car is actually a mk2 rather than a mk1, particularly if it is a TTS as you mention. If you are around the Greater London area, 4 Rings at Dartford have a good reputation so I would give them a call. Fitting an ABS sensor is pretty simple for the home mechanic but the ABS pump might be more challenging. Thanks for watching and cropping a comment!
@@andycharger Hi Andy, I purchased the car in 2007, it was registered Jan 2006 (Mk II is later as you correctly infer). Unfortunately, the whole ABS unit needs replacing. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll contact 4 Rings.
@@stevenharrison2329right that makes more sense. I am pretty sure there is no such thing as a mk1 TTS though! You might want to check that. What size engine is it? a 225? Let me know and I will see if I can assist. 4 Rings should sort you out.
The passion for these cars shines through every rev and conversation. Keep the TT spirit alive, Andy!
I sure am trying Sebastian! Thanks for your comment!
I particularly like you including a map so I can see where you are.
Great video as always mate, that b roll intro was wicked
Thanks mate. I think the intro is a bit different and comes out well! Always great to catch up! 👍
I am based in Lytham I have bought a MK1 180 Roadster blue spent about 4k on it 57,000
Nice and low miles. There is a TT event around Manchester next weekend
