This is definitely my favorite album from TSFH, my top three songs on Spotify for 2018 were Never Give Up On Your Dreams, Impossbile, and Run Free. Absolutely incredible.
I am a frustrated pilot. I started my flight training way back in 2016, and I finished it in 2020. Covid19 happened and there are no opportunities until now. This song just randomly played. This is a sign for me to not give up!!!

Hey champ, no worries. I've had exactly the same reaction; in fact - I still do. This song is a new discovery for me, even though TSFH is one of my all time favorites, even so I only heared the song for the first time maybe a few days ago. Everytime I hear it, it is such a blast of inspiration and somewhat sorrowful joy - filled with reverence for pains of life, but staying optimistic - I cannot compregend it or put to words. Tears are coming up on their own accord.
There are comments about why the bulgarian lyrics say "go back, go back, don't follow me" and the title of the song is "Never Give Up On Your Dreams"; in my humble opinion, I think those represent the voices of your fears who tell you to "stop, go back, be afraid, don't try it, etc." Note the music itself, it's on crescendo, at begining and 0:43 it starts like a dream with the piano and the cello with violins, then at 1:17 it starts to build the strength of make the dream real with the choir and louder strings, at the legato strings at 1:44 it comes the real emotion to act and getting up after just the dream, but at 2:12 starts the voices of "nasad nasad mome (don't follow, go back)" like the fear before action that can kill everything, BUT at 2:39 the choir sings like giving hope and heroic feelings of get out of the fears and overcome them, at 3:07 it is more heroic, like the explotion of living at first the hand what started as a dream and the succes of overcome the fears, at 3:34 the fears come back, as humans we are not perfect and the doubt may be there in our lives, at 4:01 is like a reflection (note the music is more of confidence and kindness) of thinking "hey, but I already get over the fears", at 4:29 the success returns and the voices "nasad nasad mome (go back go back)" are singing sporadically at the background with the main choir, but this is leading like the succes and fear being together in us as humans but after the victory the fears are just little voices that can't with the choir of success.
In an interview about the album "Sun", Thomas said that his compositions have messages behind and that his music is full of that, but, the "job" to find them are not the real objetive to the fans, he said that if they found them is great but if not doesn't matter. So I guess there's a meaning on the lyrics and type of music. Here is the quote: "Every track is different. For example, the first track on Sun, “Before Time” started out as an experiment with my electric violin where I mic’d the violin as well as running the line-out through a wah pedal. I wrote the whole piece in a 60 bpm tempo (60 ticks in a minute - like a clock) to reflect passing of time. Every piece I do is full of these “invisible” details. They are not necessarily meant to be recognized by the listener, but nevertheless exist in the parallel world of music that I attempt to create."
This helps make a lot more sense to the song, especially if you think about how the dreams we have may start off soft and barely there, but weaving themselves through our days and our work, inviting us to follow the path they can lead us. When we have fear, it's busts in, it's LOUD and can drown out the dream if we give it too much power. Yet when we haul ass with our work past it, the dream is back and giving the umph to keep going. Plus, no matter how many times the chorus of fear will meet us, we have that dream with us. You acknowledge that dreams and fear exist in us as humans, it's too true, no matter what we are doing. Happy new year everyone! 2024 already! Time for starting your amazing projects of making your dreams into reality. It will be a third year of me succeeding in my new year resolutions. I succeeded only once before that. The secret to my success was not to really give up. If someone reads months from now, I want to encourage you to remember the new year and to continue working on what you started then. Don't let your dreams die. Person that stops dreaming stops living. It is all about one thing - I have never found something so rewarding as working on turning my dreams into reality. Just working on them is rewarding in itself. When you turn them real - that is an accomplishment which would forever stay with you. Don't be one of those people who say "resolutions are stupid because I stupidly made one that was unattainable once so I have given up on turning my dreams into reality ever again." No, you dream. You turn the dream real. That is it. Even though you can start whenever you want, the new year is the greatest time to do. New beginings. I hope you will have the courage needed to continue what you started today.
There have been people that I’ve met that are fighters. They have needed help, but really the help I gave was a brief respite, or a stick. Usually a stick, and it feels like so little. But that is all they needed to keep fighting. I have a great amount of respect for these people. So for all of you who are fighting, and just need a stick to keep going, please take mine! I’m finding that out now. We never know how much we have in us, until the time comes to show it. They say when your body gets to the point we’re it says no more, you actually have 2/3 strength left to go. Your body just says no to 1/3 if your strength. So, when someone feels like they can’t take it anymore, they can. Your body just says no when you use 1/3 of your actual strength.
For those who are reading this: I was depressed about the fact that i could not get my degree in accounting and maybe never be able to enjoy life. And then i studied with that song on loop. Today i can tell since the first of july i have my degree in accouting and is moving on to do the best thing in my life: actually enjoying it. HAVE FAITH BROTHERS AND SISTERS!

I started studying for the PE exam for my engineering license in 2018, and I kind of stumbled on this type of instrumental music to play in the background during my study sessions (2 Steps from Hell, Audiomachine, Phil Rey Gibbons, etc.) and prior to finally passing in 2021 this song was one of my favorites.

I had a difficult childhood, with too much responibilities, like taking care of my disabled big brother while I was only five years old. I sacrificated my life for my brother and I've never lived my childhood like the others. It led me to depression and I've been diagnosed bipolar at the beginning of the year. I've turned 30 years old in May 2023. In June, I travelled to Italy, alone. No responsibilites, no judgment from anyone, I could do whatever I wanted to. I lived the best experience of my life, my wounded inner child finally expressed herself and I made peace with her. This song remembers me I'm free now, I can live and love my life, and fulfill my dreams without fear, just having the will to enjoy and be what I never got to be: myself. It took me 30 yeas, but I'm finally what I wanted to be: happy and free.

0:42 oh, that breakdown and the sudden string instrument (I'm not good at the finer details of music), that sort of thing gets me in the feels every time. I love this song, it's like an invitation to adventure, to sally forth into the unknown, from distant valleys in between snow-capped peaks to steaming jungles on some tropical shore, to the canyonland borders of a grand desert, and anything in between. Sigh... Too late to explore the world, too soon to explore the galaxy.
you could say this song gave something very important back to me. i used to draw a lot, almost every day, starting from a very young age. but somewhere along the road i lost my spirit. things happened, one thing lead to another. i drew less and less seeing no sense in it anymore. days grew into months and months into years. i lived my life went to work, but always had these feeling of missing something important. during the years i tried to draw again but found that i simply couldn't do it anymore. i tried and tried and failed. i got frustrated and stopped trying. stupid thing to do. but then i found this song and it struck something within me. so for the first time i tried again, and this time i didn't give up so easily. i drew and drew while listening to this song all the while. i must have broken through something, because that day i found out that i still could do it, i still could draw. i just had forgotten what it meant to me. how important this part of myself is. so i just want to thank you for everything you gave me back that day. you might never know but you saved me and i can't thank you enough for that. this might sound corny and sappy, but i don't care. do never give up on your dreams. keep trying and keep fighting for the things that are important to you.
leafy leaf The same thing happened to me when i was a beginner violinist, i took it for granted and i was about ready to give up on it, thinking that i couldn’t get where i wanted be. It was only until later that i realized how good i was at it, and taking it for granted is one of the worst things that i could have done. Now i know that if i would have given up i wouldn’t have come this far. listening to music like this inspirers and motivates me to continue with the violin 🎻🎶🎼 and to hopefully one day play in a professional orchestra.

The mystery of bulgarian voices is that you can never know how many of them are singing - if they are 2 or 100 they will sing in perfect syncronisation and loudness control! Same as instruments.

This song reminds me of a stage of my life when I was in the deepest despair. To me, this is representative of the moment I decided enough was enough. The past would not change, and I had spent far too long trying. I decided to change my future, and to do that I would have to change myself. It was incredibly painful, and I had to leave many things behind. But, with time, I eventually came out on top.

Hey champ, no worries. I've had exactly the same reaction; in fact - I still do. This song is a new discovery for me, even though TSFH is one of my all time favorites, even so I only heared the song for the first time maybe a few days ago. Everytime I hear it, it is such a blast of inspiration and somewhat sorrowful joy - filled with reverence for pains of life, but staying optimistic - I cannot compregend it or put to words. Tears are coming up on their own accord.

Epic Music Movie when somebody tell this kind of music is lame, I cover their ear with my headphone and play this out loud while holding their head
There are comments about why the bulgarian lyrics say "go back, go back, don't follow me" and the title of the song is "Never Give Up On Your Dreams"; in my humble opinion, I think those represent the voices of your fears who tell you to "stop, go back, be afraid, don't try it, etc."
Note the music itself, it's on crescendo,
at begining and 0:43 it starts like a dream with the piano and the cello with violins,
then at 1:17 it starts to build the strength of make the dream real with the choir and louder strings,
at the legato strings at 1:44 it comes the real emotion to act and getting up after just the dream,
but at 2:12 starts the voices of "nasad nasad mome (don't follow, go back)" like the fear before action that can kill everything, BUT at 2:39 the choir sings like giving hope and heroic feelings of get out of the fears and overcome them,
at 3:07 it is more heroic, like the explotion of living at first the hand what started as a dream and the succes of overcome the fears,
at 3:34 the fears come back, as humans we are not perfect and the doubt may be there in our lives,
at 4:01 is like a reflection (note the music is more of confidence and kindness) of thinking "hey, but I already get over the fears",
at 4:29 the success returns and the voices "nasad nasad mome (go back go back)" are singing sporadically at the background with the main choir, but this is leading like the succes and fear being together in us as humans but after the victory the fears are just little voices that can't with the choir of success.

In an interview about the album "Sun", Thomas said that his compositions have messages behind and that his music is full of that, but, the "job" to find them are not the real objetive to the fans, he said that if they found them is great but if not doesn't matter. So I guess there's a meaning on the lyrics and type of music. Here is the quote:
"Every track is different. For example, the first track on Sun, “Before Time” started out as an experiment with my electric violin where I mic’d the violin as well as running the line-out through a wah pedal. I wrote the whole piece in a 60 bpm tempo (60 ticks in a minute - like a clock) to reflect passing of time. Every piece I do is full of these “invisible” details. They are not necessarily meant to be recognized by the listener, but nevertheless exist in the parallel world of music that I attempt to create."
This helps make a lot more sense to the song, especially if you think about how the dreams we have may start off soft and barely there, but weaving themselves through our days and our work, inviting us to follow the path they can lead us. When we have fear, it's busts in, it's LOUD and can drown out the dream if we give it too much power. Yet when we haul ass with our work past it, the dream is back and giving the umph to keep going. Plus, no matter how many times the chorus of fear will meet us, we have that dream with us.
You acknowledge that dreams and fear exist in us as humans, it's too true, no matter what we are doing.

I’m finding that out now. We never know how much we have in us, until the time comes to show it. They say when your body gets to the point we’re it says no more, you actually have 2/3 strength left to go. Your body just says no to 1/3 if your strength. I had a difficult childhood, with too much responibilities, like taking care of my disabled big brother while I was only five years old. I sacrificated my life for my brother and I've never lived my childhood like the others. It led me to depression and I've been diagnosed bipolar at the beginning of the year.
I've turned 30 years old in May 2023. In June, I travelled to Italy, alone. No responsibilites, no judgment from anyone, I could do whatever I wanted to. I lived the best experience of my life, my wounded inner child finally expressed herself and I made peace with her. This song remembers me I'm free now, I can live and love my life, and fulfill my dreams without fear, just having the will to enjoy and be what I never got to be: myself. It took me 30 yeas, but I'm finally what I wanted to be: happy and free.

you could say this song gave something very important back to me. i used to draw a lot, almost every day, starting from a very young age. but somewhere along the road i lost my spirit. things happened, one thing lead to another. i drew less and less seeing no sense in it anymore. days grew into months and months into years. i lived my life went to work, but always had these feeling of missing something important. during the years i tried to draw again but found that i simply couldn't do it anymore. i tried and tried and failed. i got frustrated and stopped trying. stupid thing to do. but then i found this song and it struck something within me. so for the first time i tried again, and this time i didn't give up so easily. i drew and drew while listening to this song all the while. i must have broken through something, because that day i found out that i still could do it, i still could draw. i just had forgotten what it meant to me. how important this part of myself is. so i just want to thank you for everything you gave me back that day. you might never know but you saved me and i can't thank you enough for that. this might sound corny and sappy, but i don't care. do never give up on your dreams. keep trying and keep fighting for the things that are important to you.
leafy leaf The same thing happened to me when i was a beginner violinist, i took it for granted and i was about ready to give up on it, thinking that i couldn’t get where i wanted be. It was only until later that i realized how good i was at it, and taking it for granted is one of the worst things that i could have done. Now i know that if i would have given up i wouldn’t have come this far. listening to music like this inspirers and motivates me to continue with the violin 🎻🎶🎼 and to hopefully one day play in a professional orchestra.

This song reminds me of a stage of my life when I was in the deepest despair. To me, this is representative of the moment I decided enough was enough. The past would not change, and I had spent far too long trying. I decided to change my future, and to do that I would have to change myself. It was incredibly painful, and I had to leave many things behind. But, with time, I eventually came out on top.
Saw them live last night in London and this one was one of the highlights! I am still shivering. What a night!!
