Weathering steel, often referred to by the genericised trademark COR-TEN steel and sometimes written without the hyphen as corten steel, is a group of steel alloys which were developed to eliminate the need for painting, and form a stable rust-like appearance after several years' exposure to weather.
It is beautiful modern country, the infrastructure is so good😮 Make me so jealous, I am from Indonesia by the way. We in Asia always look Italy as a high class country.❤

Drove through the 8.3 km Valico tunnel the day after inauguration in 2015. Drove between Firenze and Bologna many times (before and after the tunnel) with my 2006 Ford Focus. Got overtaken by every Maserati, Ferrari or Lamborghini in Italy. The Italian highways are the quietest in the world. I don't know the type of asphalt they use. Always stopped at the Autogrill for some nice Risotto, the best in the world.

So clean! Living in the US, which has neglected its freeways, there is so much trash along the right of way. It's appalling. Italians should be proud of their modern roadways.

I enjoyed the video. I also want to film driving videos like you. When you install a camera inside a car and take pictures, the light inside is reflected and the image is not clear. I would like to solve this problem. I'm wondering if I should replace my car's windshield film with a better one. Otherwise, I would also like to know if I need to install the equipment outside.
Have you considered Croatia? The Pelješac Bridge, the A1 are quite nice to drive by car, and Dubrovnik has a very Mediterranean vibe. Besides, many highways east of Austria are surprisingly good and new. As always, a perfect video and I wish good luck on your next journeys.
I was in Venezia Verona and modena I am Italian cus I am Italian. I was at Bologna when I was at bari we were going to the ship to the port because we’re going into Asia to Turkey
It's important to point out that this trip was filmed after they've completed the widening of the southbound carriageway from Barberino to Calenzano. The roadworks that lasted a "couple" of years (and were in the ~3 km before Calenzano) were a thing that my eyes couldn't handle and the Arno service area feels like a labyrinth (probably because there aren't "exit" signs). Only crossed the A22 part once whilst returning from South of Trento almost ten years ago (and it did change a lot) whilst the part in A1 was crossed (not counting the just said) around ten times (one just for Reggio Emilia, two four Bologna and the others to either go to Perugia or Rome, not counting double crossed but just one because most most of the times I did cross again in the same day). Since the first ever time I've used this motorway (the first time I've fully gone to Rome it was the day Expo Milan 2015 opened) they've widened parts of it (even if not too much). Now I'm curious if I can find more exciting and ASMR driving on your channel ;)
I feel like Peugeot 5008 is quite frequently seen on Italian highway, along with Jeep brand cars. Also, Italian brand cars, not including exotic cars like Ferrari or Lambo, aren't they that popular?
They are popular but you will mostly see small/medium (Panda, Tipo, and some Giulia and Stelvio too) sized cars that’s because salaries are decreasing while car prices don’t sto increasing. Also some people tend to rent cars instead of buying them.
They're not brown, it is a type of stainless steel (CORTEN) on which a patina of rust is deliberately created which protects the interior from corrosion and wear over time.
Try planning your journey in the joke UK roads. Watch out for road closures, roadworks, potholes, flooding, never-ending roadworks, a small car accident which means long , long traffic jams. You are guaranteed to be severely late to your destination if you're lucky or not make it all if they close the roads because a car is having a wheel changed. Avoid the UK
These roads are very good but expensive. This trip would cost probably over 20 euros just in road tolls. Public roads in Italy are not in the best shape.
Complete contrast in the UK. Rubbish, poor quality, jammed with traffic, never-ending roadworks, part closures, full road closures, speed cameras everywhere, huge trucks in huge numbers, speed restrictions...all designed to make your life a misery just to get to work.
It’s weathering steel (CORTEN) and is naturally brown (or rather, it is rusted on purpose, this creates a protective patina that makes the steel more resistant to aging). Only the A22 has bumpers made of this material, but throughout Italy it is finding great use in the construction/modernization of bridges and viaducts.
