I love vietnamese food cause im from Philly, we have a huge vietnamese population here amazing. But I love your content and the way you do it. The reason I love your videos is just you and the way you do it. You could literally be doing anything and speaking jibberish and I would watch it. Keep up the great work and I hope the family stays happy and healthy!
@itzahoax934 i don't usually go to chinatown but now you got me curious so I'll have to go there to try some bun bo. I go to cafe diem in little saigon on 8th and Washington. I always ask for less spicy in the US otherwise they all seem to dump chili flakes in the bowl. Besides it is easier to spice the bowl yourself with your choice of spice. Even in Vietnam it seems like that too but I noticed the broth is much more red and rich in Vietnam than the states.
Love watching your videos Phúc, so peaceful and relaxing, and a way to learn more about Vietnamese language and culture too. And love your classic "Các bạn ơi, Phúc Mậc đầy" intro hahaha
Oh man! I use to eat at Vietnam Kitchen all the time. It's very popular in Louisville. I lived in Louisville for 14 years, before moving to Vietnam. I now live in Cần Thơ! This video brings back a lot of memories. Thanks
i am newer to your channel but it is nice to see you incorporate your life and family. Gives the channel a whole new vibe and i would think could help to attract a wider audience perhaps. wish you the best of luck on the continued journey.. and maybe if all goes well i will see you there in about 7 years (feels like an eternity to retirement though-lol)
I hate when foreigners ask me how to say the bad words in Vietnamese and they half ass try to speak it. But you my friend, is always welcome because I could tell you respect the culture and really try to speak our language. You will always be welcomed to come nhau with me and my family!
Thank you so much. Unfortunately, that's what most people do want to learn first. They don't realize how bad it makes them look to the older generations.
Com Tom with a knife...Brilliant! There seems to be a horrible knife shortage here in Vietnam. "Here...have some uncut meat ...oh, and here's your spoon." 😁 Our normal place knows us so well that when we walk in, the lady goes at it with the scissors and we get it in bite-sizes pieces.
My mom makes bun rieu with crab paste and blue crabs instead. The meat is mixed with ground pork, crab meat, and crab paste. She also makes fried ground fish paste to add to the soup. I’m biased to my mom’s version so ordering it at a restaurant is often disappointing.
Lol Phuc Map How long did it take you to learn Vietnamese? I personally think it's pretty hard to learn Vietnamese with all of those accents....keep it up brother!
I’ve only done day trips there, but you can’t go wrong with VinBun Bistro. Not just my opinion, but they won a couple of restaurant awards this year as well.
Sorry, but that’s the state of UA-cam these days. The weird part is from the mắm tôm in the bún riêu. (It truly was my 1st time trying that combination) Most foreigners in or out of Vietnam wouldn’t come near it.
Where in Europe? It's not one country. I've had Vietnamese food in France (Paris), Belgium (Brussels) and the Netherlands (Utrecht, Amsterdam and The Hague). So yeah.
All good, to each their own. Some Vietnamese friends of mine in Louisville said this was their 2nd favorite behind VinBun Bistro (I have a video on that one already). The mắm tôm in the soup definitely through me off, but I expected to hate it, so it wasn't too bad in the end.

Small world 🌍. This place came highly recommended from my Vietnamese friends there.

I think you have a good point there (no pun intended)
What I do is Google the restaurants he visits and read the reviews. I'll give them a thumbs 👍.
Sounds like a great plan!
When I lived in Louisville 1997-2001, Vietnam Kitchen was my favorite restaurant!
That’s a classic, I’ve heard good things about it!
I love your great video anh Phuc. You are the best brother. Love your ❤❤
Appreciate ya!

It's hard to compete with mom
I have the shirt. Plan on wearing it while in Vietnam next month.
Thanks for picking it up, I hope you get a lot of compliments on it
My pops is a Vietnam vet. From what I hear that place is beautiful and amazing. Not when my pops was there.
Definitely a different experience, but it is a beautiful place
You have to love the intro.
Build that hype
Next time you are in Dallas, try Ngon. The Bun Bo Hue is great!
I look forward to it!
I love your Vietnamese brother.
Thanks for that support!
Thèm quá😊
🙌
Yeah usually I don’t see a crab soup selling in Vietnamese restaurants in USA.
It was definitely a unique one with that fermented shrimp 🍤 paste
Enjoying your videos. When are you coming back to Vietnam?
have you been to little saigon,in new orleans?

Lol Phuc Map How long did it take you to learn Vietnamese? I personally think it's pretty hard to learn Vietnamese with all of those accents....keep it up brother!
2 years to become conversational, but I've just been improving since then. I explain it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/P5ijkvGywqg/v-deo.html
Wow Damn, very impressive! you speak Vietnamese better than me =)
mcd’s is pricey now! 😅😢😂
It's a darn shame
I'm planning on Louisville for Christmas. Any must see and do Unc?
I’ve only done day trips there, but you can’t go wrong with VinBun Bistro. Not just my opinion, but they won a couple of restaurant awards this year as well.
Enjoy your meal.
Thanks 🤝
Phúc mập vui tính quá. Chắc vợ thương lắm
cảm ơn đã ủng hộ
Where you live in Vietnam?
I live in Ho Chi Minh City
Translation: I live in SAIGON 😂
Thanks for the correction bro ! 👍🏼
Ngon quá trời luôn Chúc ơi 👍
đúng rồi
Not a fan of the clickbait title. Nothing was “weird” about any of those dishes.
However definitely impressed by your Vietnamese!

seem like you enjoyed vn more than usa, are you going back soon?
You’re quite funny and interesting to watch!
Appreciate you!

Hope you get a chance to try!
@@phucmapvlog yeah, thanks

@ Munchin Germany restaurants Cô Ðô
and there are many Vietnamese restaurants in Munchin, Italy Rome and Firenze Italy Saigon Rice❤️👌
Just to let you know... Today, Vietnamese bun rieu is not cooked the traditional way.
It's sad that I cannot find a traditional bun rieu in US or VN.
Bạn vui tính , tôi thích xem kênh của bạn kķk....
Nhìn anh Phúc ăn mình rớt nước miếng
Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cali got the best vietnamese restaurant in america
I'm sure they have some good ones, but Texas is up there as well
When someone says Saigon or HCMC. We know which side they are on or born after the situation.
Xin chào phúc mập.❤
chào bạn
Phuc map number one
I tried Vietnamese Kitchen and wasn't impressed. Its a little pricey, portions were a little small, and it wasn't that tasty.

Too bad
Hello phúc mập

Well that phrase is for welcoming the new years.
Wait for a proper conclusion in a future video

Did your bro in-law come here just for visiting his family ?
Hello Phuc Map. If I were you, I would shave to appear cleaner. Friendly yours .
Tried it, but nobody liked it: ua-cam.com/video/2b7prH0n1No/v-deo.html
Damn that Bun Bo Hue. Yummy
I’ll have to get a bowl of that next time.
