Thanks buddy, I appreciate the comment! Luckily nowadays I can run the game and record at high settings without having to make too many compromises. Been using a new setup since the final boss Chai video, and the footage looks much, much better! ❤
There's no way this Guizhang fellow just happens to have Kazuya's "UF4" spinning kick like it's nothing. He even has the trademark broken spine during it! We had Akuma and Negan in Tekken, but no one from Virtua Fighter or Shenmue? That's beyond crazy!
I’d bet a Shenmue fighter game would sell great! No idea why SEGA never gave it a try considering the potential is there… they could have at least included Ryo in any of the past Virtua Fighter games, since he shares moves with Akira (for obvious reasons), but also Jacky, Aoi, Kage etc. As for Guizhang and Kazuya sharing some moves, it’s interesting to note they employ two different martial arts, which leads me to believe the similarity has probably nothing to do with the styles themselves and more to do with other external factors… maybe it has to do with Tekken’s origins? I do remember reading once that the original Tekken was made by some ex AM2 developers who had worked on the first Virtua Fighter and later went on to make Tekken. Shenmue came out in 1999 but a lot of content was made during Virtua Fighter RPG era between 1996-1998, whose material was obviously gathered at an even earlier point. Maybe those ex AM2 developers ended up taking some of the material with them, which by sheer chance ended up being used in both Tekken and Shenmue? This is just one crazy theory I came up with, and I'm willing to bet I got everything wrong! 😂
It looks more than good enough- better than I remember. Always fun to see your fighting skill.
