Used to sit and talk with Gove in the late 80s in Charleston SC at The Back Market and he once played me Jesu a Joy of Man's Desiring on his autoharp and he became a hero to me that day. 5 years later ran into him at Asheville Bike race festival. He always brings a smile to me face.
When I was stationed on the USS Torsk in Norfolk in the 60s, Gove was also on the sub and we used to go watch him play at folk music clubs in the Tidewater area.
i heard "A Girl I Know" in the mid 70's and it changed my playing forever. What a talent !

Hope you are well, Gove. Happy New Year, and thanks for the beautiful music you've given us!
Saw Gove in my late teens in Norfolk, many years ago, a cherished memory.
Thanks for reminding me of Freddie Neil. One of the soundtracks of my life. And Bryan Bowers: I remember him.
It's A Beautful Day covered the dolphin song on one of their l.p.s. Nice job, too.
