I have noticed if I try to add a jelly blush or mix it with another primer it will kill because I think they stick to each other and pull each other off

Great review! Just fyi, when determining if a foundation is water-based or silicon-based, both will have water as the first ingredient. You'll need to look at the following ingredients after water (usually the first 3-4) to determine if it's silicon based. Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, for instance, has a first ingredient of water, but the second ingredient is Cyclopentasiloxane, which is a silicon, so it's silicon-based. Again, thanks for the review! Just wanted to shed come light as to why some things might be pilling over that primer while others don't.
It is easier than that...pour foundation on the back of your hand, wash it off with water....does it melt and disolve? It is water based...if it just stays there, not melting or washing away, it is silicon / oil based .

Just a guess? I think it may not have worked for us oily skinned gals because you paired it with a hydrating foundation and its a hydrating primer? We already have excessive oils and with all that hydration it may have just been an over load? I have a few samples of the primer but have yet to try it out.
I got a trial size of this primer, I have used it 4 times now..... it’s fabulous primer, highly recommended. Some people have mentioned breaking out from it.....that never happened with me. I have combo skin. I used it with L’Oréal’s new infallible foundation, and used it with Nars radiant foundation.... excellent results with both. Cassie I would recommend trying out the olehenriksen oil control cleanser and moisturizer, they work really well with helping to control oil production.
Sara Scott I’ve used it with the L’Oreal too and actually have found it works best for me without a primer! How weird how that can differ. I love it with my NARS sheer glow though. ❤️😊

I've used this primer a few times. Wearing it today actually with the Jeffree star concealer and powder. I don't have anything negative yet. It definitely grips! I know that much 😂

The primer does not work with waterproof foundation ! Tried it with the estee lauder , mac and urban decay and it peeled off how ever when i used it with a normal foundation it worked so well

The primer works great with the Milk Makeup foundation (naturally). But I did get some pilling when I tried the Ordinary serum foundation. Just a little, and I rinsed away the pills and it was fine the rest of the day. So it seems like it works great with some foundations, but it's not going to work for everyone with every foundation.
This primer makes me very confused! I’ve tried it with three different foundations/bb cream that all claim to be water based. The wet n wild photo focus blends like a dream on it! The MUF water blend foundation bunches up terribly on top of it, and my cover girl matte bb cream is so-so on top of it. It’s a very interesting primer

The milk hydro grip primer massively broke down my foundation when I tried it. I have oily skin and tried it with the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra. I haven’t been keen to try the primer again. But maybe one of these days I’ll try it with a different foundation I have. Thank you for the thorough review.
Do you think maybe you didnt get enough primer around your mouth area. I feel like I probably dont concentrate on that area or it kinda gets forgotten and I do more on cheeks nose and forehead. I enjoy the milk makeup primer but you def need to wait a minute and it doesnt seem to play well with some of my moisturizers. Maybe better over oils.

Cassie, haven’t a ton of viewers asked for you to change up your blanket background... we get it; the clean youtuber background isn’t ~you~, fine. But the background can still be your style while being enjoyed by your audience... take a look at Pixielocks or Kelly Eden who both have a kawaii aesthetic. Hell, Kelly’s dollhouse is crazy popular too. You can be different and still be put together and enjoyed by your audience. Ultimately you’ll make the final choice as to wether or not you change up your background but this lack of professionalism CANNOT be drawing in new viewers/subs
Havent finished watching the video yet but I have a primer for you to try! I have pretty oily-combo skin and recently started using a mini of the Pixi Beauty Rose Flash Balm as a primer and whoa did it make a difference to how my makeup lasts on my oily parts. It pills a little if I over-rub it in but otherwise it's nice and hydrating and calms my oil down, and I haven't had a problem pairing it with silicone based foundations. For $6 give the mini size a try!

I think a nice art of the cooking boxes is that you then know how to basically make that recipe and can replicate it later! I need a plan that will let me choose meals that I can make only on the stove top since we don't have an oven!

FYI: water is the first ingredient in almost every foundation, it doesn’t mean it’s water-based. I believe the foundations you used (except maybe your Estée Lauder) would be considered silicone-based. Not sure if that makes a difference, but it might explain the pilling because the Milk primer is silicone-free. What moisturizer did you use? Maybe that along with the primer made things pill up?
I can't thank you enough for making sure to point out how it wears with wearing glasses! Would you do a video on the best products and tricks on how to not have your makeup get rubbed off with glasses? I wear prescription glasses and contacts with sunglasses. I've always struggled with my foundation rubbing off on the sides of my nose with the nose pads.

I have problems with my smile lines so BADLY that i went and buy the famous milk primer and i was just laying in bed for almost 2 hours and yes i have the strong marked smile lines again😫 so it didn’t work😭
me tooo this is my biggest problem my deep smile lines ( im 34) so I also have been ion the hunt for a foundation primer that helps this. The only one that makes a difference is very siliconey primers. Now I own the milk makeup sunshine tint and let me tell you, it is incredible at blurring smile lines, only when I tried this primer it PILLED like a b*tch it was very lame
I love your videos and the bed is fine, but just get a heavy bedspread, like a brocade or something. Then you'll have natural light and a colorful, non-bumpy background!

I didn’t like this primer either. I thought it made my skin even Oilier and slicker as in my foundation wouldn’t last as long and slip off. It also broke me out too ): and I’m usually not sensitive to anything and i have pretty normal to oily on my t zone skin /: just a bummer cause the claims sounded amazing
I’ve noticed pilling can occur for the following reasons: 1) Ingredients incompatible with the ingredients found in subsequent face product layered over top (which you’ve discussed) 2) Wait time between applications (which you’ve discussed) and 3) amount of product applied. I think the latter might be the culprit. Even though you followed the directions provided (1-2 pumps for the whole face would mean you could use 1 pump for half the face), maybe your face just needs less. Try playing with it using less than one standard pump because the amount may be playing into why it’s pilling over itself. This can happen with my moisturizer if I put too much.
i also would watch you cook if you did cooking videos as equally as this channel so uh yeah great work, the music in the background for me is a to prominent though just a tiny bit distracting
That's what I did and I have an endless supply because they keep multiplying! It's awesome. I also planted the top of a pineapple, took two years to produce fruit but after that, I got multiple pineapple plants and a year after, I have 4 pineapples growing 😀🍍🍍🍍🍍 I love experimenting with gardening and planting things.

The foundations were all silicon base, even tho the first ingredient was water. If it has a silicone type ingredient listed near top it’s silicone based. I think (could be wrong) the primer is water base. 🤷🏽♀️ lol. Maybe try it with a water based foundation like the fit me.

I've never been really interested in face primers, I only own the Nivea men post shave balm bc it's oil and silicone free. This one kind of intrigues me bc it's silicone free but the fact that you say it just sits on your skin and seems to clog your pores is not good for me bc I have combo/oily skin.
Denatured Alcohol is the 5th ingredient in this primer! I wouldn't want to put this on my skin! I would break out so badly! Idk why more people aren't talking about the ingredient list!
I hate how companies put that in so many cosmetics/skincare. I was going to buy the boxycharm skincare box but a lot of the products have fragrance and the peel gel had alcohol denat. so that was just a no. Plus I have the farsali highlighter in glow up and I'm not very impressed.
This was fun, .. gotta drop a moan though: HomeFresh and Fit Food etc. are delivering tons of unnecessary plastic bags with their ready-meals, they are not doing nowt for the planet really. Couldn't believe the amount of trash in your last delivery. You could make a note of your fave recipes and then shop for the stuff without packaging. Better to have the same meal twice and finsish off them spring onions, instead of 6 plastic bags for 1 dinner. x

Home Chef is really nice, when my daughter was living at home I’d get the weekly menus and she’d always turn up for dinner instead of grabbing something at a fast food 😂
I have very dry skin and picked up a sample of this to try before buying it at the VIB sale, but today is the first day I’m testing it and it made my base product not want to grab my nose! There were naked spots all over it and I had to use my fingers to try to pat more product on until I felt like I had too much going on. I’m gonna keep trying it... conflicted bc yay I can save money but I also was really hoping for something to make my skin look less dry under makeup without screwing up my application so much.
Well every ones skin is different and reacts differently to certain ingredients. I mean not saying they all lie, but im sure a few exaggerate to look good in front of MILK so they keep getting PR.
I have a sample of this that I have tried once. It made my foundation (bareMinerals complexion rescue - the liquid one) break down super fast, like within 3 hours. Thanks so much for doing the review with multiple foundations, cause now I want to try it again with another foundation.

Jennifer M it’s the same packaging yes, but not the same formula. CYO is better suited for dry skin with a dew look. The kick a$$ is better for matte long wear.

You need to do more cooking. I really enjoyed that portion. I used gusto before which is similar and always thought the meals were so tasty!

Krystyna Garcia thank you for understanding, I love Cassie’s channel, I’ve binged watched her videos while cleaning. I just asked if she COULD not that she should. Just so the videos don’t seem the same. I’ve seen all the people commenting on the changes she should make and I think that she should just do what she wants because it’s her unique style that interested us in her videos. FYI: water is the first ingredient in almost every foundation, it doesn’t mean it’s water-based. I believe the foundations you used (except maybe your Estée Lauder) would be considered silicone-based. Not sure if that makes a difference, but it might explain the pilling because the Milk primer is silicone-free.
What moisturizer did you use? Maybe that along with the primer made things pill up?

Would you do a video on the best products and tricks on how to not have your makeup get rubbed off with glasses? I wear prescription glasses and contacts with sunglasses. I've always struggled with my foundation rubbing off on the sides of my nose with the nose pads.

I have problems with my smile lines so BADLY that i went and buy the famous milk primer and i was just laying in bed for almost 2 hours and yes i have the strong marked smile lines again😫 so it didn’t work😭
me tooo this is my biggest problem my deep smile lines ( im 34) so I also have been ion the hunt for a foundation primer that helps this. The only one that makes a difference is very siliconey primers. Now I own the milk makeup sunshine tint and let me tell you, it is incredible at blurring smile lines, only when I tried this primer it PILLED like a b*tch it was very lame

I didn’t like this primer either. I thought it made my skin even Oilier and slicker as in my foundation wouldn’t last as long and slip off. It also broke me out too ): and I’m usually not sensitive to anything and i have pretty normal to oily on my t zone skin /: just a bummer cause the claims sounded amazing
I’ve noticed pilling can occur for the following reasons: 1) Ingredients incompatible with the ingredients found in subsequent face product layered over top (which you’ve discussed) 2) Wait time between applications (which you’ve discussed) and 3) amount of product applied. I think the latter might be the culprit. Even though you followed the directions provided (1-2 pumps for the whole face would mean you could use 1 pump for half the face), maybe your face just needs less. Try playing with it using less than one standard pump because the amount may be playing into why it’s pilling over itself. This can happen with my moisturizer if I put too much.

That's what I did and I have an endless supply because they keep multiplying! It's awesome. I also planted the top of a pineapple, took two years to produce fruit but after that, I got multiple pineapple plants and a year after, I have 4 pineapples growing 😀🍍🍍🍍🍍 I love experimenting with gardening and planting things.

I agree. I can see if the ads are obsessive but one or two is fine. People complain sponsored videos in general. That's how UA-camrs make their money. It's just as easy to not watch then it is to make nasty comments. Cassie has to make her money lol.

The foundations were all silicon base, even tho the first ingredient was water. If it has a silicone type ingredient listed near top it’s silicone based. I think (could be wrong) the primer is water base. 🤷🏽♀️ lol. Maybe try it with a water based foundation like the fit me.

Just thinking do you think the concealer is affecting the foundation seeing you put it straight on top of the primer , have you tried it the foundation first then the concealer after , maybe the thickness of the concealer is making your foundation move ! It’s only a thought ! It can affect the outcome ! Or maybe no concealer at all ! Just add a little more foundation on top of your blemishes , just trying to think why your foundation moved !
I've never been really interested in face primers, I only own the Nivea men post shave balm bc it's oil and silicone free. This one kind of intrigues me bc it's silicone free but the fact that you say it just sits on your skin and seems to clog your pores is not good for me bc I have combo/oily skin.
Denatured Alcohol is the 5th ingredient in this primer! I wouldn't want to put this on my skin! I would break out so badly! Idk why more people aren't talking about the ingredient list!

I hate how companies put that in so many cosmetics/skincare. I was going to buy the boxycharm skincare box but a lot of the products have fragrance and the peel gel had alcohol denat. so that was just a no. Plus I have the farsali highlighter in glow up and I'm not very impressed.
This was fun, .. gotta drop a moan though: HomeFresh and Fit Food etc. are delivering tons of unnecessary plastic bags with their ready-meals, they are not doing nowt for the planet really. Couldn't believe the amount of trash in your last delivery. You could make a note of your fave recipes and then shop for the stuff without packaging. Better to have the same meal twice and finsish off them spring onions, instead of 6 plastic bags for 1 dinner. x
Good part is they can be recycled. But I totally get what you are saying. There has to be an alternative way to package all of it.
@@kims_quest Funnily enough, the environmental costs of the all the packaging is offset by the delivery savings - instead of thousands of people driving their cars to and from the store, it's a handful of vans delivering food to the houses.

I have very dry skin and picked up a sample of this to try before buying it at the VIB sale, but today is the first day I’m testing it and it made my base product not want to grab my nose! There were naked spots all over it and I had to use my fingers to try to pat more product on until I felt like I had too much going on. I’m gonna keep trying it... conflicted bc yay I can save money but I also was really hoping for something to make my skin look less dry under makeup without screwing up my application so much.

Well every ones skin is different and reacts differently to certain ingredients. I mean not saying they all lie, but im sure a few exaggerate to look good in front of MILK so they keep getting PR.

I have a sample of this that I have tried once. It made my foundation (bareMinerals complexion rescue - the liquid one) break down super fast, like within 3 hours. Thanks so much for doing the review with multiple foundations, cause now I want to try it again with another foundation.
Might try home chef. I use hello fresh. I like it but would be nice to switch it up.

That's actually the same exact foundation, formula amd all as the CYO, as they are sister brands! The CYO is waaay cheaper, I just found this out.
Jennifer M it’s the same packaging yes, but not the same formula. CYO is better suited for dry skin with a dew look. The kick a$$ is better for matte long wear.
