This is the best video of rock pour technique I have ever watched. I like that the measurements are clear and simple and that you show how to make those cells with a simple spritz of lubricant. Thanks for the tip about using the Triple Thick Glaze, Im excited to get started!
Well done! What's amazing is despite the colours are in one cup yet no two patterns and colour rations are the same. Excellent! I'm definitely going to try this out. Thanks very much for sharing.
I found my 1st painted rock a few months of go n saw thete us a fun community with painted Rocks n really want to give back the sane smile I had when I found a painted rock, I watched video after video, n your vlog was so help that I wanna say thank you fir such a great video n I have subscribed... I was wonder what kind of paint are you using. As I am new to this wonderful hobby
Thank you for making this video! It was super informative. Can you repeat the process for the top of the rocks for the bottom, or will it not look the same?
I was wondering what type of brand you use for the silicone lubricant spray. I'm new to this and never done it but would love to start and have no idea what brand to get lol thank you. Your rocks are gorgeous 😍😁.
Hi Victoria, Really like your simple delivery and the printed instructions on the screen. I have used several different types of spray and have resorted to drop-style silicone. The spray just didn't create the cells as I hoped. What brand do you use? I also haven't used Floetrol as I couldn't find it at Michael's, it's another pouring medium. Wondering if that's the problem? Thank you for a great video. I'm hooked!
I was watching some rock projects and wondering how well they would paint. Tks glad I found this. I was going to do the rocks wired as photo holders this will be beautiful...(I Hope.lol)❤🐩
If you put these through a rock tumbler after you painted them and when the paint dry would that damaging the paint or would just make the Rock's shinier.
I use Ace Silicon lubricant spray. And here is a link to buy the Triple Thick. DecoArt TG01-36 Triple Thick Gloss Glaze, 8-Ounce Triple Thick Gloss Glaze (Jar) www.amazon.com/dp/B000WWM6QM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_7PGRX1PV6DJZX8CHHTGC
You are the best at explaining. Do you sell your rocks? How much. I have small rocks beside the larger ones to carefully lift the dripped paint so don't waste much. I give those little babies to friends and they love them.
These rocks are beautiful!! I run garden centers and people would love to put these rocks in their gardens or pots as "accent pieces" for colorful plants or to jazz up an area that needs some color! How much do you think you spend on paint vs. what 1 rock would cost?
Patricia Niedrich I do 16 at a time on a pot rack I got from Armstrong’s Gardens. I usually go through about 2 - 8 oz cups of paint solution. My guess it about $7.00 of paint and very little of Floetrol. I but the Floetrol at Home Depot for $20 a gallon. It really goes a long way. I have no problem selling the rocks for $10-$20 each.
Go to my instagram page to see the rack I’m talking about. Scroll to see all the sets I’m talking about. Instagram is under: Let’s Paint with Victoria Gobel
My question I searched for here so I wouldn't be redundant...........Usually silicone will keep the glaze or resin from sticking. Any problems with coverage using the Triple Thick?? Thx
Please only lightly spritz with Silicone Lubricant spray. And the Triple thick has never given me any problems. I have used it in hundreds of rocks too. You can also use for the glaze - Deco Art clear pouring topcoat. But paint it on with a brush, don’t pour it in. Paint a few coats too if the DecoArt.
could someone please help? I googled floetrol and found some pretty cheap kinds called Floor but it said it removed roller marks. Didn't say anything about being a paint additive for acrylics. Is this the same kind used in the video?
thank-u so much Penny Whisler...I will go on ahead and order then. That is an excellent price for so much! Been just widdling away on some small rocks while waiting on a response. Hand painting actually and they look good. I even have some blacklight paint on some
@@victoriagobel3698 oh, okay! I thought I saw a primer on them before you painted them white. That sounds much easier! Thank you for such a wonderfully helpful video!
margaret davis ...I wish! But remember that not all of it is paint...water and floetrol make up a lot of the solution. I’ve heard some artist let the access dry and use it behind glass pendants.

I don't have any Floetrol and want to start now. I have elmer's glue and can mix with water if that would work. If not are there any other suggestions? And I used white primer to turn some of my rocks white. Tight budget :(
If you go online you can order pouring medium from Liquitex. I’ve heard that Elmer’s glue doesn’t work well. I would go to Michaels.com and use a 40 or 50% coupon off on your purchase.
well I was actually wanting to go on ahead and do it. But if Michael's provide coupons that good why not? Worth the wait. Thanks for letting me know because I have ordered from Hobby Lobby and never seen any coupons yet
michael's prices are ridiculous even with coupons,...sorry. I was looking for something affordable. The Flood floetrol varieties I saw online said they were to clean up roller marks. Would that kind work as well? And much much much cheaper too 6 quarts for less than $9
What was the spray Im confused. Very pretty, is there a video that shows exactly how you mix the paint with the floteral? Or is it just sprayed on. Thats what Im confused about.
Victoria, this is the best demo I’ve seen for pouring paint on rocks. Thank you.

You can pour paint in small amount in the cups but I usually make so many at a time that this works for me.
Excellent video. You made this super easy for me to catch on to!
Beautiful, the last finished one looked like a road with the sky over it.
I Love It!! Thank you for Sharing. They're just lovely. Gotta give it a try.

Best vid I've seen for rock pouring
Thank you for the awesome video. I've just started doing this and have watched many tutorial pour painting videos. Your's is the best by far.

Hey one more question what do u do with the left over paint on the plate?
How pretty and so unusual. Thank you, Victoria, from Shenandoah Valley, VA USA
What is the silicone spray you used??
Very cool. I am going to try this with my grandkids. Thanks.
Thank you for this video. I'm having so much fun mixing and pouring. Rings cut from cardboard paper towel tubes can be used for stands.

Loved watching this video. Thank you for the help. Fran

Oh, this looks like so much fun! What will we all do with our beautiful painted rocks??
omg just the video I needed to see! I've tried dipping rocks and don't like them so I want to try it this way. They are gorgeous!
It's really very easy and very addictive. Let me know if you have any problems.
thank-you
These are great Thank You for sharing Victoria.
Bravo Victoria!Amazing work! I like your creations! So beautiful! I will watch all your videos!Greetings from Greece!
AWE!!!! Thank you for watching my videos!
you mean i cant do this straight over my new white formica counter tops ?? Beautiful ! cant WAIT to try this i love rock arts
I think if your countertops have a coat of primer you can. You would have to put a coating of resin over it so you can set things on top.
nicole crystal do the paint on your counter. Rough it up with sand palate and go for it.
Cover it with resin.
Oh my gosh! Wouldn't that be spectacular! :)
Just finished watch & taking notes for the third time. Think I've got it. Thanks a bunch.
they are gorgeous WOW
Wow! They are beautiful! Thank you.
What brand of silicone spray do you use?
Can we use any type spray oil , like vegetable oil for instance?
How do I come up with a colors combination that would remind you of the Ocean? Thanks love your video.
What are you spraying with!
Beautiful work!
What did you spray on them? You didnt say. It looks like a can of spray paint but it is covered with paint and cant tell what it is.
what was the spray to make cells???? you didn't specify!
Dear Victoria, how looks the bottom of the stones? Are they painted too?
Yes I believe it shows in the video! Have fun!

What are you doing tell me about what kind of paint you used and about what kind of like
So...can I paint pour on a concrete paver? Will it just peel off? Do I seel it with concrete sealer?

have you ever used waxed paper under the rocks to use the paint for skins ?

How do you pour on the bottom once you’ve done the top?
Would the colour come off if exposed to the elements as in a garden? The rocks you painted are lovely!
YouGottaBeKidding ...no they are safe for outdoors!
Beautiful! What do you put on the rocks before putting on the white paint?
Just clean them really good. I use a silicone lubricant on the painted ones to create all the cells. Hope this helps.
@@victoriagobel3698 oh, okay! I thought I saw a primer on them before you painted them white. That sounds much easier! Thank you for such a wonderfully helpful video!
What did you spay on the rock to make the cells form?
Silicone Lubricant Spray from Ace Hardware Store.

So easy and pretty. Is there an easier way to not waste so much paint?

Can you put these outside? Wondering if heat or rain would make paint and gloss come off
Absolutely! I have had mine out for at least a year and they look fantastic.
Amazing, what about the bottom of the rock where the foil took place, how do you cover it? Thanks for sharing
bushbosh sorry for the late response, but in the video I show you what you can do with the bottoms👍🏻

These are awesome! Question: Is the "Triple Think" a self-leveling product that is similar to resin?
Jeff Grant - Yes! It’s levels out and dries incredibly smooth and glossy.
Victoria Gobel - Excellent! Thanks so much!!
Very beautiful!!
Thank you 😜👍🏼😊
Very pretty. thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching, let me know if you have any questions!
How do you seal them?
outstanding!
How do you get under the rock with the design?
Breathtaking .... :)
So I am thinking that if the rocks were pre-painted black it would take away the back painting after the pour. Ever try that?
The white keeps all the transparent colors bright and vivid. I never use black for that reason.

Well shame on me!!!!!! How long do I have to sit in the corner? :)
What was the spray Im confused. Very pretty, is there a video that shows exactly how you mix the paint with the floteral? Or is it just sprayed on. Thats what Im confused about.
I’m confused. Didn’t see her add floteral
Lynn Galvan you mix it with each color of paint.
A silicone spray. You could maybe use wd40?
Lynn Galvan she just showed exactly that up our into cups..not stirred or mixed
What is the polishing metirial
Fascinating 🌌💚💜🧡🖤 Thank you 😍
What is it that you are spritzing over the top for the cells?
It’s silicone lubricant spray. I got it at Ace Hardware
