Also. Police would have a blast in case someone reported your place for a contraband. "Why is this thing have a secret hatch?" "Oh you know. Annual hide and seek with my employer"
Over the last 4 years, I have considered applying to Hacksmith Industries, just to sneak back in at night by the creek and hollow out an entire underground apartment, one backpack at a time, entirely for the purposes of winning the Hide and Seek contest, and then immediately quitting and abandoning any active projects after doing so.
I honestly think that charles had the most creative hiding spot because he was trying to hide in plain site just by messing with your senses; sadly he didn't account for the thermal camera
It's not impressive it's stupid one of these years someone is going to get hurt for not a lot of money sue the hacksmith and make a lot of money because some of these people are literally putting their lives in danger when it's not
I think next year James and Ian should get in on the hiding and work with local law enforcement to have them be the seekers. Have like 3 waves. First wave is 1hr long and just police using their own eyes/intuition, 2nd wave 30 minutes and they get use of any tools at their disposal, 3rd wave 30 minutes RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!!!! Open up the hiding area to ANYWHERE on the property (buildings, cars, trees, underground, pond, ect) This would allow for a fresh new take on the challenge since James and Ian are familiar with "known" spots everyone has the ability to re-use 1 of those spots and or be a little more creative hiding in trees or "under ground" or personal cars.
While I do believe that Bogdan's spot was the most creative (hiding in the wall adjacent to the fridge definitely works as psychological thermal camera deterrent) if i had a scuba suit, i would have hid UNDER the inflatable kayak after filling it with sandbags. If they had gone through all that effort to check inside the kayak only to find nothing, they'd've certainly given up on checking under it
The Thermal camera is OP they should make it so the camera is only charged to 15% so james can't use it literally everywhere Or every time he uses it 5 minutes gets taken off the timer
@improvedalpaca3294 that would effectively turn the game into tag with extra steps not hide and seek with extra steps since everyone would just run away as soon as the seeker gets close since they both have terminal cameras now Since it's near impossible to hide a person's thermal signature atleast while having the ability to stay mobile i think my original idea was better But thank you for your feedback 👍
@@ultimate_pleb Very good argument. The seekers are at a natural disadvantage but I agree that the thermal feels OP. Maybe it should only come out in the last 30 minutes.
Absolutely the creative award goes to the guy in the storage boxes that he hollowed out to sit in. I know he was caught quite quick but in terms of looking so natural and not just being inside a wall cavity I think it's miles better! ☑️
Kayak was absolutely by far the most creative. Simple yet elegant to hop in a kayak "either they leave me alone or they gotta figure out how to get me" especially after committing to not moving while you tried to grapple them. Next year they gotta commit and float like 5 of them out there and hide in a false bottom, really make you work for it. Hiding in a "not locked but looks locked" shipping container i feel like should be disqualified, it was BS last year but now its BS AND unoriginal
Yeah, but the exhaled air has got to go somewhere... it'd be a dead giveaway if they saw some random bubbles sporadically popping up in the same place.
@@JonHGeorgThat's the move, inflatable underwater "diving habitats" are available for purchase and would be perfect for this. Only drawbacks are I believe they take some time to set up and are expensive. Edit: and I think you have to breathe mixed gas which is more school and license. If one of them has a very cool diving friend they would be great!
charles is probably the most creative for me, because everyone else did try and hide. He tried to just blend in and disappear. The thermal camera was sad to see when they got to him. I wanted to see it in proper action at least once.
I think Tyler's one was creative. He hid himself and also hid the enterance to his hiding spot, so even if they found him with thermal they'd need to find the enterance to actually find him.
“I’d rather make this perfect, than capitalise on holiday sales” brings a tear to the eye to know there’s still business owners who think like this out there
my idea wouldve been for one person to get an observation drone above to see when james is coming and to wait in a heated drysuit next to the lake. and when he does go that way, to slowly slide into the lake with either a rebreather so that no bubbles ever go to the surface, or just with like a really long breathing tube that looks like some plant and then hope the pond is deep enough not to be seen and that james doesnt use heat vision outdoors. another option would be to forego the heated drysuit and instead opt for a wetsuit, but that'll be devilishly cold, so only someone with serious experience can pull that one off, though it would help hide them from the IR vision.
@@nevermindmeijustinjectedaw9988 DJI max time are between 20 and 45 minutes in theory (no wind, so real life even less). Adding more battery at some point doesn't help anymore, as battery weights. Only solution would be to e.g. and every 15-20 minutes for new battery. Oh, and drones are quite visible and you can hear them and each landing gives out your spot.
for next time a trick you guys should use is have 1 or 2 metal water bottle with frozen water inside, then go under a Mylar blanket with the it will nearly negate thermal cameras. (yes i thought of this my self so it might not work)
Most creative for me was the kayak - right in plain sight, but soooo hard to check! Looking forward to next year and wondering if someone can figure out how to be in the pond undetected...
