I believe Jax is Jax. He isn't a hero or a villain. Lemme just put a Jax quote here, "I'm fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people." Whatever's most entertaining to him decides what he does. He'd probably commit war crimes in the circus, if he found it funny; he'd do the exact opposite, if that was funny. He's not good or evil; instead, he's pretty much just a force of nature. That's my take.
I feel like Jax is the good guy but hides it well because he doesn’t want to be the “goodie goodie two shoes” and he doesn’t want to lose his friends deep down. I also think abstracting is you turning into a monster but it isn’t killing you. The way to abstract is to go insane. So I believe that when you abstract you don’t die, you are just in very bad condition. Jax might be trying to get his friends to not go insane so he won’t be lonely and he won’t be in danger. Jax gets others mad at him instead of someone else and his excuse is just him acting like a comedian. So yeah that’s my theory
Ever since I've watched the pilot I had this feeling he's twist good guy. He reminds me so much of Ouma that I can't believe he is fully evil. My main supporting point was that he helped Kinger and Gangle hide from abstracted Kaufmo instead of leaving them be. But your points are very good as well! I think he tries to make himself look like a villain to focus people's attention on him instead of letting them slowly go insane from not having anything better to do. I think he'll be the one to set everyone free. Edit: After watching this video I agree with it even more. And it makes him look even more like Ouma, lol.

They both have this passive-agressive dynamic with the rest of the cast, where they don't act antagonistically and they act kinda friendly toward others, but every member of the cast hates them because it's clear this attitude isn't exactly honest. They both are problemmakers. And they both are intelligent. And they both seem to care about others, at least to some excent. I do agree with the theory that Jax makes the characters focus on him by making them angry so they won't abstract. I also think that he really cares for the other characters but hides it by being a jerk, so he doesn't get too close to anyone. He also seems to mask his feelings. When Kaufmo is put in the cellar, Jax looks genuinely upset but then quickly switches to seeming unbothered. I wouldn't be surprised if it was eventually revealed how Jax is also slowly loosing it and the other characters help him through it.

I have a theory. If you look at the desk pomni was staring at when she was trying to exit,you can see there is a VR headset.. but no one wearing it. So the humans put on the headset and casually leave. The characters in the digital circus,however,are not even close to humans. They are models brought to life by a copy of the human brain that put on the headsets. The people on real life does still have a connection to the digital circus people. When they leave.they probably don’t want to play digital circus,or they will. But if they don’t like the game anymore,they don’t like their selves in the digital circus,which causes some problems. It causes a random person in the circus to have issues and not really satisfied whatsoever. Now,the game in the computer,in real life. Would take data and space in the computer. Because the player doesn’t like the game anymore,let’s suppose they would delete the game. Deleting the game,would have a major effect to the copy of them in the circus,because the game is gone,but those people are still in the circus,not gone, they will simply think they have no reason of existence. So deleting the game,would cause the human copy to abstract.

Hear me out, he always could've known. I personally think this theory is false anyways, but at least somewhat intresting so... If you were to realize, abstraction leads 100% to being able to escape, the amount of hope you'd regain is massive. So you'd probably be far more sane then before that information. But your goddamn goal now is to be insane, not sane! The hope you experienced is counterproductive, and knowing how close you are from being back to your former real life will definetly make it harder to loose yourself now. But what can lower sanity now, since that's your main goal now? 1. Long term isolation 2. Being dehumanizated 3. Harming others 4. Lacking goal and purpose 5. Addictions and being unable to stop them 6. Loosing a loved one 7. Long term self doubt and negative thoughts 8. Being through torture (I mean the actual medieval ones) 9. Being abused/manipulated and more 10. Being forced to a lot of manual labor. Okay... More then half are already off the chart because you're placed in specific conditions and around generly nice people. Option 5 is out because you don't have anything to be addicted to, I'm pretty sure since there isn't even profanity allowed, something like alcohol/drugs/social media/p*rn/sweets just don't exist. 6 is also off the chart since you left your family/friends in real life some time ago and you already dealt with the grief. We can remove option 10 since so far Caine doesn't force anyone to work 24/7. 4 is automatically deleted bc you litterly just got a goal: abstract and go back to your old life. 8 is also gonna be out, I'm not sure how much physical pain you get to experience and I doubt Caine would just casually start torturing you, like there isn't even profanity allowed, what makes ya think gore would be? Abstraction might actually leave you in a paralized state. You are aware, but not in control of anything other then your vision. A person suffering from depression might feel like a shell of their former self, experiencing life in a depersonalized manner. The abstraction just proably reflects that, it depersonalizes you into a monster.
this is my theory. the ones that will abstract in the future will glitch if a abstraction hurts them or touches them but, the ones that will not abstract in the future will not glitch until they get hurt even if touching a abstraction it will not glitch them. #gangle #amazingdigitalcircus
Good theory, but still believe that Jax is not a bad guy. Gooseworkx probably made him so dislikable in the start to make people believe that he is a jerk and a potential antagonist, but another video I’ve viewed that spoke about who are the next characters to abstract pointed out something interesting and kind of suitable for Jax. They said that he is acting like a middle school bully who doesn’t get affection from his parents, so the only way to make himself feel better is to pick on others, thinking he can get everything his way and that he is not even worried of being stuck in the circus - I think they said because he believes he can find the exit even though he himself said there isn’t. But all of his arrogance and ego would fall flat once he realizes that he is just as helpless as the others in the circus, which would cause him to lose his mind and abstract at the realization of how vulnerable and lost he actually is (since he obviously doesn’t take anything seriously… for now. And it would explain why he is always looking for entertainment; to prolong the inevitable). That would make him a good guy (start-off mean jackass, working towards acknowledging broken soul). Basically, they say Jax is a very mentally fragile and sensitive person on the inside but hides it under a mask of confidence as he maybe knows that if he accepts the truth, he’s a goner, which would be interesting if it actually turns out to be in fact true. I don’t know if what I said makes sense, but I do think Jax is a good guy.
Well I also have a theory that makes Jax actully a "hero" but undercover. I was thinking about, what if HE knows more then other characters in the circus (excepting Caine, cuz' he is more likely to be some kind of a god or just a host/creator, maybe even an operative program or AI). Jax may have more knowledge by having so many keys to a lots of doors, so he could easily enter other locked rooms or even secret rooms that of course noone unaware knows, like the rest. So what if Jax is actually looking for the exit by himself?? But don't want others to know about it because he might be afraid, that someone would spill it out or look to much engaged to it and draw Caine's attention(who probably don't want them to leave, making him a bit of a villain in this story). Jax might be acting jerky and anti-social only to cover up he's reaserches, because who would think that someone immature like him would be working on such a thing?? And still that Jax is doing pranks on others to draw their attention on his actions (not his reaserches) and lose thoughs about a way to escape and losing mind is very possible in this situation. Because of his attitude it feels like he's literally everywhere, so noone could probably notice his little absence, where by this time he would be moving on with his work. Isn't this convincing?

Jax was already a good guy when Pomni got there cuz ever time when somebody is getting mad at her he shifts their anger to him and its shown with zooble,gangle,and Ragatha he made zombie mad to escalate her anger to her by saying "Quiet. I can't her the escalator" making zooble mad a him instead of Pomni, with gangle he breaks her comdy mask to shift her angry to him and also stepping on her mask and saying "So are we gonna have an adventure for the newbie or what?" shifting her anger to him once again,and lastly for Ragatha when she's about to abstract and get mad at Pomni he makes a joke about putting bugs in her room he shifts her anger to him instead of Pomni and at the end she would have had enemies on her first day but she didn't have any

And she is only here from binging an actual kids show about a circus. Would explain why Caine said things about the digital circus being for all ages.
But like you aren't really able to feel hallucinations and the pilot episode pomni was dozing out when she was with ragatha and Jax. Jax ended up waking her up from her doze with a tap on her face
I never thought of Jax as a bad guy. Sure, he wouldn't be the most pleasant person in the world, but he is still pretty far off from evil. He never lies for his own benefit, he never seriously injures or kills anyone, he never deeply insults anyone, he doesn't let his emotions get in the way of his actions and he doesn't exclusively pick on any of the characters.
As Jax said himself, "I'm fine with doing whatever. As long as I get to see funny things happen to people." I think that he protects everybody in the circus because if everyone else was gone, he wouldn't be able to see funny things happen to people anymore.
My take is that Jax is like any other player like us. He doesn't care about NPCs because they're not real, they're just codes, so just for fun he can mess around with them, even kill if they annoy or amuse him. The human characters don't die so he can mess around with them just to get a funny reaction from them which otherwise would be harmful in real life. Remember, Kinger gets stabbed by knives, as well as Ragatha who also gets pierced by spikes, and Pomni's hands stretch out instead of ripping apart. Even breaking Gangle's mask doesn't have any consequences since she gets it back in next episode.
I actually believe jax does this not to be a hero or prevent people from leaving. I believe he actually doesn’t want people to live otherwise it would be possible for the ringmaster/caine to do something bad or he will get so lonely that he also abstract and maybe he thinks that if he accidentally abstract he destroys everything as it would be possible that Jax has the ability to see his abstracted form and when it will happen.
There is an exit to the digital circus in when you enter the exit door. There’s probably many different ways to leave your exit door in public Susan into them, because voice, and one of them late because of your world.
If you were to actually abstract you would become a uncontrollable monster like the one we saw and you would get sent to where the other abstractions are

Jax to me just focuses on making the members not go insane which is his failure with kaufmo but jax just bullies everyone for the fun of it but he would make sure everyone in the crew actually is normal which makes feel that caine is the true villain because in kaufmo's room we see in the walls that a drawing of caine is there. And it could be interpretated in 2 ways either it was for the moment it was in or it's a depiction of caine chasing through kaufmo.
He broke gangles comedy mask more cause when pomni made the others trip causing gangles comedy mask to break caused by pomni jax steps on it to make gangles anger not to pomni but to jax and he threw the balling ball at kinger and gangle to save them from abstracted kaufmo

Abstraction might actually leave you in a paralized state. You are aware, but not in control of anything other then your vision. A person suffering from depression might feel like a shell of their former self, experiencing life in a depersonalized manner. The abstraction just proably reflects that, it depersonalizes you into a monster.
There’s this theory that Jax was a hacker before, and that he deserves to be trapped there.
this is my theory. the ones that will abstract in the future will glitch if a abstraction hurts them or touches them but, the ones that will not abstract in the future will not glitch until they get hurt even if touching a abstraction it will not glitch them. #gangle #amazingdigitalcircus
Good theory, but still believe that Jax is not a bad guy. Gooseworkx probably made him so dislikable in the start to make people believe that he is a jerk and a potential antagonist, but another video I’ve viewed that spoke about who are the next characters to abstract pointed out something interesting and kind of suitable for Jax.
They said that he is acting like a middle school bully who doesn’t get affection from his parents, so the only way to make himself feel better is to pick on others, thinking he can get everything his way and that he is not even worried of being stuck in the circus - I think they said because he believes he can find the exit even though he himself said there isn’t. But all of his arrogance and ego would fall flat once he realizes that he is just as helpless as the others in the circus, which would cause him to lose his mind and abstract at the realization of how vulnerable and lost he actually is (since he obviously doesn’t take anything seriously… for now. And it would explain why he is always looking for entertainment; to prolong the inevitable). That would make him a good guy (start-off mean jackass, working towards acknowledging broken soul). Basically, they say Jax is a very mentally fragile and sensitive person on the inside but hides it under a mask of confidence as he maybe knows that if he accepts the truth, he’s a goner, which would be interesting if it actually turns out to be in fact true.
I don’t know if what I said makes sense, but I do think Jax is a good guy.
Well I also have a theory that makes Jax actully a "hero" but undercover. I was thinking about, what if HE knows more then other characters in the circus (excepting Caine, cuz' he is more likely to be some kind of a god or just a host/creator, maybe even an operative program or AI). Jax may have more knowledge by having so many keys to a lots of doors, so he could easily enter other locked rooms or even secret rooms that of course noone unaware knows, like the rest.
So what if Jax is actually looking for the exit by himself?? But don't want others to know about it because he might be afraid, that someone would spill it out or look to much engaged to it and draw Caine's attention(who probably don't want them to leave, making him a bit of a villain in this story).
Jax might be acting jerky and anti-social only to cover up he's reaserches, because who would think that someone immature like him would be working on such a thing??
And still that Jax is doing pranks on others to draw their attention on his actions (not his reaserches) and lose thoughs about a way to escape and losing mind is very possible in this situation.
Because of his attitude it feels like he's literally everywhere, so noone could probably notice his little absence, where by this time he would be moving on with his work.

I feel like jaxs just wants everyone to be safe and not insane and he might seem like he does the worse things even the creator said he is probably gonna do even bad stuff but it probably is bc he had a dark past when he was a kid and was not treated well leading to him being to bad now and why he is always making joke to hide the fact he is going insane him self and he probably is going to be the next to abstract due to the amour of pressure he is put under and aslo i have ADHD and i can easily tell if some one has it too and i think jaxs has a lot symptoms of it to . Jax was already a good guy when Pomni got there cuz ever time when somebody is getting mad at her he shifts their anger to him and its shown with zooble,gangle,and Ragatha he made zombie mad to escalate her anger to her by saying "Quiet. I can't her the escalator" making zooble mad a him instead of Pomni, with gangle he breaks her comdy mask to shift her angry to him and also stepping on her mask and saying "So are we gonna have an adventure for the newbie or what?" shifting her anger to him once again,and lastly for Ragatha when she's about to abstract and get mad at Pomni he makes a joke about putting bugs in her room he shifts her anger to him instead of Pomni and at the end she would have had enemies on her first day but she didn't have any

Or Caine could be putting them there as he is going insane himself. Or maybe the headset was poisoned and pomni is in a coma, that would explain a lot. And she is only here from binging an actual kids show about a circus. Would explain why Caine said things about the digital circus being for all ages.
But like you aren't really able to feel hallucinations and the pilot episode pomni was dozing out when she was with ragatha and Jax. Jax ended up waking her up from her doze with a tap on her face

I never thought of Jax as a bad guy. Sure, he wouldn't be the most pleasant person in the world, but he is still pretty far off from evil.
He never lies for his own benefit, he never seriously injures or kills anyone, he never deeply insults anyone, he doesn't let his emotions get in the way of his actions and he doesn't exclusively pick on any of the characters.
This just made me love Jax more! ^^

I think that he protects everybody in the circus because if everyone else was gone, he wouldn't be able to see funny things happen to people anymore.
My take is that Jax is like any other player like us. He doesn't care about NPCs because they're not real, they're just codes, so just for fun he can mess around with them, even kill if they annoy or amuse him. The human characters don't die so he can mess around with them just to get a funny reaction from them which otherwise would be harmful in real life. Remember, Kinger gets stabbed by knives, as well as Ragatha who also gets pierced by spikes, and Pomni's hands stretch out instead of ripping apart. Even breaking Gangle's mask doesn't have any consequences since she gets it back in next episode.

I actually believe jax does this not to be a hero or prevent people from leaving.
I believe he actually doesn’t want people to live otherwise it would be possible for the ringmaster/caine to do something bad or he will get so lonely that he also abstract and maybe he thinks that if he accidentally abstract he destroys everything as it would be possible that Jax has the ability to see his abstracted form and when it will happen.
There is an exit to the digital circus in when you enter the exit door. There’s probably many different ways to leave your exit door in public Susan into them, because voice, and one of them late because of your world.

Jax to me just focuses on making the members not go insane which is his failure with kaufmo but jax just bullies everyone for the fun of it but he would make sure everyone in the crew actually is normal which makes feel that caine is the true villain because in kaufmo's room we see in the walls that a drawing of caine is there. And it could be interpretated in 2 ways either it was for the moment it was in or it's a depiction of caine chasing through kaufmo.
