    Man you have a really good ability of teaching. You speak absolutely clean english, great for people not living in the us... And its pretty easy to follow you. For example. I cant listen to danaher longer then 2 minutes

    Why should we avoid sliding through? Giancarlo repeats this instruction a couple times in the video, but doesn’t explain why

      Probably leaves too much space.. your opponent might be able to get the elbow inside and create even more distance

      @@ericsynatschk5459 Ahh I think it’s the position of the top arm that dictates weather you plant the knee as opposed to sliding it out. Sliding out would compromise the ability to control your opponent w/the top arm positioned there. IMO if the top arm controls the topside hip instead of the lapel that would offer an opportunity to finish with the knee sliding out. But I’m an 42yo scrub hobbyist and not an ADCC champ 😂 but I did learn something new 😎

      Was just teaching this to my students tonight. When you slide out, there is a triangular shaped space between you and the ground that allows your opponent to turn sideways and slide their bottom knee in, framing away with it and allowing them to reguard.
