Could you imagine walking into a music store and seeing these guys hanging and playing?! WOW!! My reaction would be EXACTLY like my dude - I LOVE YOU!! 😂😂
I was about to make this exact same comment. I would flip to see Guthrie, Tom AND Jedd at my bucket list music store. Damn....
All three would be nuts, was at ecg a few yesrs ago and tom walked in. Said he saw me cruising pioneer square with my oñd beat up tweed fender case, was taking my ‘59 jazzmaster in for repair, he’s such a cool dude, we chilled he loved my jazzmaster and played it. I was super stoned on a edible the whole time, great vibes.
That was a genuine reaction at 1:15 for the fan towards Larry as it was for Tom towards the fan, and for everyone else as well. I hope the fan makes it to the show
that was great.
Then it was funny when the guy was like "who are you?" to everybody else. Nothing. Crickets 🤣Then the wave.
It was like "what are you doing here?" How could he not know Uncle Larry was in town? Just not into UA-cam I guess.

Wow. I just moved out of Chicago 6 months ago after spending the first 36 years of my life there. guitar music exchange being a place I picked up many guitars and martyrs being one of my favorite venues, seeing this and missing your show I’m feeling quite homesick right now…

I used to finish closing our house-band gig in Milwaukee at 2 or 3 am and get in my brand new 66 Mustang, with Otis Redding on the 4 trk, to head to Waukegan or Chicago for the afterhours venues. then have breakfast on the way back about sunrise, hit the club for rehearsal after lunch, and show up for the gig at 8:30 to start all over again.
Guthrie every time I see you guys having fun like this just makes me smile the entire time. Thanks for sharing this and I hope you guys have another great show tonight!

Was at Martyr's for the Friday show and concur on the sound quality, especially standing in the middle with the roof sound baffling in play. All instruments sounded choice but I will say the best sounding live drums I've ever been in the presence of.

Is it weird to say that Chicago Music Exchange isn't the same since Dinkel's went out of business across the street? I debated several equipment purchases over cookies, sandwiches and coffee there...my mother worked in that bakery as a teenager too. Anyway, carry on chaps.

I was at the Saturday night show and it was quite awesome. Guthrie you sound amazing and style and tone is like a second chapter of Steele Dan. Jed was amazing on acoustic an I personally would like to see more of that and less of the big band Louisiana style "country jazz" that was played at the end. Uncle Larry's ability to play to the song is unmatched- textbook even. I liked Martyr's but the stage could be a little higher as I had difficulty seeing the player's instruments even though I was positioned on 12 or so feet from the stage. I like to see the musicians work their magic but view was blocked by those in front (not their fault just stage is too low). Great job. Come back in the summer and play an outdoor venue perhaps?
