I started Wargaming with Age of Sigmar. Just playing with the contents of the starter set. It was a great intro to wargaming! I had no minis and no idea about what tabletop games were before buying that box. After that I found a local gaming store and they had a group that played AoS they helped me learn how to grow my army (Path to Glory campaign) and gave me tips and tricks on painting. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better into to the hobby. Since then I've expanded to other systems but I will always defend AoS as a great intro to the hobby.
Great video. I used to play 40k in the late 90's and wanted to do it again but was put off by the cost and time required. This video gave me the alternatives I need. Thank you.
Good recomendations in my opinion. I have Song of Arthur and Merlin (a variant of SoBH) and it's a great introduction to skirmish games. I just recently discovered One Hour Wargames. I'm still a bit reserved on that- feels like sometimes in can be a bit of a dice throwing contest if there are no morale rules, limitation on activations, etc. But the scenarios feel like they might give it some flavour. But for sure for beginners it will be a great starting point.

Purtroppo ho notato che la maggior parte dei war game che si trovano online seguono molto quell' idea e il combattimento sembra molto legato a una serie di tiri di dado...
Ciao, grazie del commento! Purtroppo la meccanica GW-style è adottata da praticamente tutti i wargame che io conosca quindi non saprei bene cosa consigliarti. Per quanto riguarda il non usare miniature specifiche io consiglio sempre "Grimdark future firefight" e "Age of Fantasy skirmish" di One Page Rule oppure "Stargrave" e "Frostgrave".

I like that you mentioned Warlords of Erehwon I feel like it is overlooked but it has many advantages
