So my mum told me moths ago that we didn't have money to buy tickets to see Rex and I cried the rest if the day because u was devastated and this was that day tickets first came out for the Australia concert and so I had been looking up the Ticketek website everyday hoping tickets would still be available and that one day we'd gave the money for tickets. My mum and I were in the car on Monday and she was like "I have a present that I wrapped in such a cool way and I'm so excited for you to open it" and I jokingly was like "let me guess it's tickets to Rex" and she had to play it off as if it wasn't. Christmas day comes around and we finished cleaning up after breakfast and started opening present. Mum had asked .r if I wanted to open the present she was most excited about and I obviously said yes. She hands me the present and it's a bunch of little cook books and the a mason jar full of green and red M&Ms. I didn't think anything of it until I saw something white peaking through that M&Ms so I open the jar and pull a sandwich bag out with a something inside it. My hands were shaking at the point and I pulled that white thing out of the bag and opened it up to see 2 tickets to see Rex in concert next year. I cried so hard in front of all my family. By far the best Christmas present of all time

Hey, I’m a dude with a depressing story that just wants to vent. When I was a sophomore in high school that fell in love with a girl. She loved me back and this was the first song I sang to her. I called her my sunshine and I was her sunflower. Life was fantastic. Now I’m a freshman in college that’s hundreds of miles away. We lasted for nearly 3 years when we started to run out of things to talk about, we’d argue more and more, and I started to fall behind in my classes. I decided to take a break from a relationship and she asked me for a few days “how long will this last?” I told her that I didn’t know. After 3 weeks I lost 15 pounds and finished my semester with A’s and B’s. After just a few weeks, she said she wanted to stay single but a few days later she started dating one of my old friends. I’ve been in a bad place for a few months and I’m scared to do sports, drive around, or play my guitar again because everything reminded me of her. I miss all the memories and she still occasionally tells me that she loves me and she’ll never forget about me. I feel so hurt and I don’t know what to do and I know I could never move on.
