My father bought me FIFA 18 for Christmas, I was really excited cause I hadn't played FIFA since 2014 when he bought me the Xbox One, so, i played it for like 2 years, until quarantine. Unfortunately my father passed away in July 2020, and whenever I hear this song, and the whole FIFA 18 soundtrack, I remember him...

January 16th, 2021: My sister and I were on our way to my mom's to stay over for the weekend. Keep in mind, I had just gotten out of a horrible year which was full of a pandemic, a suicide attempt and me ruining friendships I was getting into. This song was playing in her car and I never really listened to Rex Orange County, I only heard of him and I heard him on "Boredom" but this was the first time im hearing his work and I loved the song on the first three words but then the words just hit me, I tried to hold in my tears but I couldn't on the "Don't tell me you're sorry" part I cried in front of my sister. She stopped the song and she asked me what was wrong, I couldn't tell her everything and when she realized this she wanted to skip the song but I wanted her to continue it. That was the first time I ever cried to a song in my whole life. Because I knew that I had done so much wrong, I let myself go and I took it out on other people.
