Although for me the leg room is good, but If I want to do heel-toe my knee is kind of bumping into the console, so I have to improvise to a Toe-Toe for comfy transition😅 Overall very happy with the car.
There isn't. I'm 6'0 and with the chair pushed all the way back and lowered my head is still touching the ceiling. Makes it very uncomfortable when turning my head. Real bummer.

This guy said he’s 6’4” that’s what someone my height looked like the original miata. I honestly might get another at some point, it’s hard to choose because the miata is one of the few cars where I love every generation of it.
I am kind of fat. No point calling it anything else. That is the issue with the Mazda for me. It is a bit snug around my middle. But what car. Drives amazing.
I'm 198cm (6'4) and 95kg (not sure lbs). I always wanted an early 90's Gen 1 MX5 but never even tried because I thought I wouldn't fit. Got the chance to try at a car show recently and it had more than enough room inside for me. Now I just need to find a good one on the UK's salty rust inducing roads.

Next question. Can I pass the broomstick test with a helmet for SCCA events at 6'3"? I know the answer is no, then which aftermarket rollbar will do the trick?
You’ll fit just fine by yourself. Maximum passenger and cargo weight in a miata is 340lbs. Total. So say this dude weight 200, he needs to have a 132 lb girlfriend and only buy 1 gallon of milk in the trunk. Do t get into a car crash and then not have the insurance company nitpick that you exceeded the weight, so they are not paying. It’s a “chick car” or a car for little people plural. It’s a zippy car, and weight matters to keep that zip as horsepower is not impressive in this sports car. Add a roll bar and that’s more weight added. Don’t expect to have an open casket in one of these. Trucks and suvs are known to plow into them while at stop signs because they don’t see your little Miata.
The miata always was tight for me. I tried the previous version, before 2022, and it was impossible to fit in with 6.3". Impossible. So, maybe, they have recognized their mistake and are offering a better size.
Im 6'1 but have the body length of someone who is 6'5 so i end up staring over the top of the windscreen, i tried moving the chair forward and then tilting it, which did give me enough headroom, but then my legs got squished. Ended up buying a fiesta st 😢

2019+ model has a bit more space. Also the Recaro upgrade seats are tighter. I didn't fit right in them. Had to grab the standard seats. Helmet on at the track is pretty difficult. I have to scooch down in the seat and find the spot between the 2 convertible top bars to fit my head lol. I bought seat lowering kit to fix the issue.
One thing to note on the NDs as a current ND owner, the passenger footwell has considerably less legroom than the driver side due to the transmission bell housing eating up 30% of the footwell so if you're taller than 6'1" but find the passenger side cramped, just remember that the driver side has a lot more leg room. That being said, the ND is unironically the car that would most benefit from a flat bottom steering wheel since, if you like having the wheel angled somewhat low, your left thigh whille be hitting the bottom of the wheel every time you get off the clutch. Funny how so many 7000 pound "sport" suvs and hatchbacks get huge chunky fat bottom steering wheels yet the small 2300 pound 2 seat roadster doesnt. Other than that ergonomic gripe, the ND is surprisingly comfortable and snug.

It was one of THE WORST cars I ever drove. And I'm extremely picky when it comes to a cars performance. At 6 1, it was way too small, my right knee was always pressed hard on the sideboard, seat did not go back enough, cheap interior, tiny tiny trunk, half of that of the roadster mini, sloppy steering, and rwd did nothing to enhance the drive. My expectations were sky high given how many videos compare the mini roadster and Miata and overwhelmingly people choose the Miata, I'm completely dumbfounded. It is what it is and I know how both cars feel. The roadster mini is comparable to the Porsche and Ferrari I drove, slow speed handling, if the mini roadster had like 400hp and all wheel drive to eliminate torque steer it would be almost virtually super car level.
The tall guy in the vid is super flexible with long legs and a normal-height upper body. I’m average sized at 5’10” and 160 lb. Still, my ND2 is a snug fit. It was designed that way.
