Please update the Launch Controller XL so that when bottom buttons are set to toggle they will toggle the LED's when controlling hardware!! This is essential for muting and soloing tracks on a hardware device.

3 out of 4 toads approve of this update. Guess you guys didn't like taking flak after showing CALC using a laptop in an "all hardware" setup, just to route the controller around. But kudos on following up on it, even if it did take 8 months. Back when i was rocking it computerfree, ready solutions such as this was sorely missed. Seeing as you're no strangers to various interfaces etc. how about following this up with bringing out a no-nonsense USB-to-MIDI (and vice versa) hosting/routing device. Obviously it's been done before, but here's a chance to give your customers a cheaper, guaranteed to work solution, while still earning you more money ;-)

A Pro version with midi I/O and 16 tracks instead of 8 would be KILLER…only having access to 8 tracks at a time with some bank switching just isn’t cutting it anymore. Just an idea 😊

We haven't tested that specific device for compatibility but there is no reason why it shouldn't work. You will first need to update your Launch Control XL for standalone use using the Launch Control updater available here: bit.ly/LCXLDownloads This update makes Launch Control XL Class Compliant so you can connect to the rear USB input on Mio10.

Launch Control XL would be ideal if it had three rows of 360-degree MIDI encoders rather than pots. That would eliminate the confusion of loading a configuration that doesn't match the current knob settings, a persistant MIDI controller pitfall.
+Fallen Star Features and then you get (depending on your use) in the pitfall of not knowing the real position without looking at the screen. This is why it's useful on the Octatrack as it is. The Octatrack has endless or 360 controllers.

Yes, that's right, the process is largely the same although you can now manage Launch Control XL using Components online with Google Chrome or any other browser that supports web MIDI - components.novationmusic.com/launch-control-xl-mk2/templates When you have created a suitable template for your hardware, you will need an additional device in order to convert the MIDI data from USB to a 5 Pin DIN output. Here we used a Kenton MIDI USB Host.

I have installed your files on the launchcontrol, and it works fine with the kenton USB host on the octatrack. However i can't seem to make the octatrack respond to a midiclocksignal. Does the octatrack have to be master when using it together with launchcontrol xl? I hope you can help me, because when we play live i am not always the master, therefore i need a solution or launchcontrol xl and octatrack are not for me. Thanks in advance.
I thought I'd try mapping the Model 15 app to the Launch Control XL. I need to do more than one page to fit in all the knobs. The problem is that there are no set CC values by the Model 15 app which leaves me to MIDI learn and the set values in the LC XL repeat just over a different MIDI channel per user preset. The only way I can think of mapping it out is to use the editor and create each CC number sequentially advancing through presets while keeping all on a single MIDI channel. IS there an easier way?
