Angela Lansbury is a delight in the lead role. It's Funny I always see her as Ruth From The Pirates Of Penzance in 1983. Such a talented actress and singer.
Charles Durning was good in so many genres. Lansbury is just a legend!
RIP to Angela, our Mrs Potts, J.P Fletcher and Miss Price.
I bet she could have also made a magnificent Augusta Longbottom (aka Neville's grandmother) in the 'Harry Potter' films, if any of that studio's casting agents were bright enough to realize it and cast her.

Angela as a 17 year old in Gaslight was her debut as an incredible actress. Loved her in this and many others.

This is a movie so ahead of its time with its portrayal of human rights, to worker abuse, to unrequited love. It shows that a woman’s work, even behind the scenes, is just as important as a man’s and should always be appreciated. Best of all, it doesn’t come off as preachy with those issues. It all seems natural. And the songs? Oh, so charming with Angela Lansbury at the helm. She was perfect for this role.

This is a delightful musical movie. All the songs are great with catchy lyrics. I loved the choreography as well. Angela Lansbury looks absolutely charming in the role of Mrs. Claus.

I definitely regret not watching this one sooner. This was such a delightfully sweet and surprisingly progressive movie. Dame Angela Lansbury can really do no wrong as the mother of Christmas herself. And what better side-kick than the born leader and champion of the overlooked, Soapbox Sadie! It can feel a bit over-saccharin, but I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to watching it for years to come!
