Best video on this. I was trying to replace my locks, handles and door latch the other day and couldnt figure it out, other vids werent as detailed. Thanks
yea! same here, that lock rod that connects to the tailpiece of the lock cylinder, no frickin room! All other videos mysteriously skip past that part. I am gonna just unscrew the inner panel except the two bottom 7mm to give me some room so I can fix the lock
So I’m trying to take off the stuff of my door so I can take off my door and fix the dents but that metal bar the runs through the inside of the door has been bent inwards which prevents me from getting my window out it also prevents me from rolling my window all the way down, which is why I’m trying to fix that. What should I do?
Impressive that you know your shit like this at your age. Had a couple questions on how to do this and wanted to find a video on it and this is by far the best one. Keep it up man
Thanks Carson! I definitely did not expect this to be the most popular video on the channel, lol. If your a farmer I have another channel called “Vermonters” which is all farm based videos
So I have currently manual windows... so all I need to go power is the panel correct? I have the harness already. I thought about buying power doors but seems just switching the panels will save me money and allow me to keep my factory doors
I give you big props for making the video. there are a few easier ways to do some of the stuff. but you got it done. The window glass can come out of the bottom.
What do you mean by trim? You have to take the whole panel off to replace the door handle. But you might not have to disconnect everything, you may be able to pull the panel down and reach in with everything still attached.
@@AlmostItalianBrothers the weatherstripping that goes above the window. Looks like everything has to come off as well just for that part. These trucks were built to last. Unfortunately all plastic parts dry rot eventually
@@Dustyfingers I just had to watch my own video to see... yes, you have to take the window out which requires taking the entire door apart. It’s not that bad honestly, if you have the same truck just follow my video step by step and remember to have the window all the way UP before you start!
Have spent some money already on a poorly done job, searched through videos for weeks. I’ve had the parts for 8 months, and watched this and thought “that’s it?” I feel stupid now, doing this as soon as the suns out

You made this 4 years ago. You were young. This is one of the better guides I can find in 2024... Great job. Thank you
Can you make a video on installing everything back on?? your video helped alot thank you!
Thanks bro really smart for the age
Great job! Thanks for the close-ups.
Thank you for posting this!! It's the only one I could find for the window!!
No problem!
Wheels are awesome.

Bad case of vertigo trying to follow the waving camera. Those are 6mm bolts with a 10mm socket head.
Thank you for the video, few questions on what size rivets and size of drill used to drill out
I’m not sure it was like two years ago. Probably 1/8?

Great job with your step by step explanation and great job with camera control. Very detailed removal!
Thank you Ken!
Good stuff bro! You’re really young and know how to work on trucks!
Thanks Don! Just wait until I make a video on the truck when it’s done in the next few weeks! I really want to see what people’s reactions are lol.
I just want to replace the trim and door handle. Easier way to replace the door handle?
