I’ll tell you why beau continued to produce for Ratt…. One word.. SUCCESS… they were massively successful and he also worked well with pearcy and robin .. Beau was an extremely important to the classic RATT sound .. guy was a great producer and I think those guys would all agree .. they literally climbed to the top together after cellar was released.. massive album and ratt was fricken huge in the 80s.. one of the biggest rock bands in America… amazing band incredible guitar work all over the place .. rip to robin , he was the heart and soul of that band … love the content man this is awesome keep it coming and 🤘 rock on

@@MaskedManiacReviews You sure did sir. I am from Brazil and grew up on RATT (and other bands) I didn’t get to see them live till 2007, when they opened for Poison. Then twice at the M3 Festival and one time in a small club called Empire in Springfield, VA. That was first row. I’m going to add a link here so that you can check them out. Thank you!

@@MaskedManiacReviews We met Bobby Blotzer and Stephen Pearcy at the Hilton Hotel that night before the show. Bobby just wanted to smoke weed, and Stephen just grubbed on some mashed potatoes. We hung out for about 20 minutes, then left to get ready for the show ourselves. Looking back, I really wished it was Robbin and Warren we met. As a guitarist myself, I would have been picking their brains about their Jackson and Charvel guitars, Marshall amplifiers, rack gear, etc. I was 19, a year younger than Warren. I generally don't like the typical dopey LA glam metal or hair metal bands like Motley Crue, Poison, Faster Pussycat, etc. We hated those bands, but Ratt and Dokken were cool because they had great guitar players. It was such a different time. We all lived that lifestyle... whether you were famous or not. The hot chicks were standing room only, take your pick... it was sometimes pure debauchery. All the stories you've heard about those days are true. I really miss those days!

@@MaskedManiacReviews I lived a few blocks from George in Phoenix (Paradise Valley) in 1991. You'd frequently see him at the local Bizarre Guitar in the neighborhood... usually trying to sell or trade gear that tons of companies would send him for free to see if he liked it and would possibly be interested in endorsing their product. He'd dump all kinds of distortion/overdrive pedals, etc. on the counter from all kinds of weird, off the wall companies... he'd play through everything anyone sent him, but usually ended up rejecting about 99% of the stuff he got sent. It was kinda weird, you'd be just hanging out at Bizarre Guitar playing whatever new guitars they got (they got new and used guitars in every day) and suddenly in would walk George Lynch. He was always cool and laid back. He lived right around the corner, so he would stop in just about every day, to see if anything he had brought in had sold. This went on for a few months, and then I think George moved back to LA to do another Lynch Mob record. It was fun times.

Definitely my favorite album by them. Liked how you zeroed in on Robbin's face with the statement about drugs. Powerful. I know first hand what kind of a battle he fought. I recently talked with my teen daughters about "crossing that line" with certain substances. They've admitted to experimenting. I hope they don't cross it...because most people do not win the long run battle, much less the immediate one that can kill you within mere minutes. RIP Robbin; you said, "don't cry for me," I could'nt help it.

Beau's was good on OOTC for sure, Seemed a little tinny on the CD master for IOYP but a bit fuller or the vinyl master. I have some working (no vox or guitar solo) versions that were Robbin's personal tapes for "Dancing" that sound MUCH better and beefier than the finished product. No dis to Beau intended but I would have loved to hear what Howard Benson or CLA could have done. Bob Clearmountain getting ahold of them could've been a stellar idea.

Lay it down is the ultimate glam guitar riff yes its elite and hard to play only for one reason the stretch you have to stretch your pinky to your ring finger your basically doing a power chord with those 2 fingers its a 3 string stretch pull off riff that hurts your fingers a chord most players would rather avoid as a rythem riff other then that pretty straight forward in terms of arguments and the 2 guitars sp yah its hard because the chord is hard to do but technically speaking its really not a hard song easily my favorites riff by warren period

I hear you're using The Tenktop instrumental cover in your soundtrack... he does a great job in general, but he gets a lot of parts wrong. He has his comments turned off, so I can't tell him what he's doing wrong and help correct those parts for him. And I call bs; Right Between The Eyes is a killer tune! You're probably not a guitarist, otherwise you'd understand their are some really catchy riffs in there. What You Give Is What You Get is my favorite track, followed by You Should Know By Now being my second. We used to do covers of all those.
