- April 1990 with Pan Am Express from Bremen to Berlin and Hamburg. Then Hamburg New York on Pan Am Airbus A310. Visiting New York and the World Trade Center. JFK Pan Am Clipper Club watching departing planes. Flying back via London to Hamburg. #WTC

Amazing footage!!! Thank you so much for sharing. Who would have thought back in 1990 that some day you’ll be able to share this publicly with everyone, almost everywhere around the world. I’m grateful for all the people who took the time and effort back then to videotape some of their movements, experiences and adventure for now we have these little gems from „better days“! I try to always live in the present, but fondly remember the past. Looking back the 1990s were certainly a better time. So many things we see in this video that are sadly no more... Pan Am and its JFK Worldport, TWA, 747s flown by US legacy carriers... and then of course the WTC twin towers... especially during the past couple of weeks amidst these crazy times when it somehow feels the world is coming apart I often thought to myself: „please take me back to the 90s“! Thank You for doing so with this amazing video!

The Reason why your plane took Bremen W Berlin Tegel Hamburg JFK Airport Terminal 3 Pan am World World was that Pan Am had Inner German Air Service rights like Air France and British Airways. If there was a Lot Poilsh Airlines ticket from Bremen W Germany to JFK it would have been Bremen East Berlin Schönfeld (Now Flughafen Willy Brandt ) Warsaw Chopin (VR Polen) then JFK since People's Republic of Poland is an ally of the GDR (VR Polen DDR).
These were of course different aircrafts, and I took the detour Bremen - Berlin - Hamburg because I had still open legs of earlier flight for these sections on my tickets.
And regarding you second part of your comment about a hypothetical flight to Warsaw with LOT, the answer is as follows:
There were no flights from the west to east Berlin Schönefeld. And you also could not simply go from West Berlin to Schönefeld Airport because that would had required a lengthy visa process and possible was this only for citizen of West Germany but never for inhabitants of West Berlin. Btw the Schönefeld Airport was situated outside of the boundaries of East Berlin, it was the GDR, which means a West German person who could easily get a day visa. For East Berlin, was not allowed to cross the city boundaries in order to go to Schönefeld Airport.
