Loved it! So much fun hearing two vocal nerds talking about one of my favourite songs and bands. I see the usual, popular powerhouse songs from UTA are being suggested, but I'd suggest doing "Legacy" from the same album. It's very different, both in structure and Brittany's choice of vocals.
Brittney is just such a class act in every way. Yes, she's beautiful and yes, she sings amazingly, but it's how she treats her role in UtA with such respect that sets her apart. She is without a doubt one of the most dedicated, professional vocalists I've ever heard. There's no half-assing it, winging it, or "good enough" with her. Absolutely everything is a conscious, strategic, purposeful decision in pursuit of her craft, and it shows. I cannot fucking wait to see them live.
This is going to be so amazing! I can't wait to see Mark and Brittney nerd out over vocals. Her voice is intoxicating, and the whole band is wonderfully talented.
Oh my God, I don’t know why there aren’t a bunch of comments from excited Unleash the Archers fans already… But this is crazy! I can’t wait to see Brittney!
I absolutely loved this video and being able to see Brittney's process and her thoughts on the why she does certain vocals. Such an amazingly powerful voice and I'm so happy she joined you for this reaction. Thank you Brittney and thank you for asking so many great questions Mark
if you're ever on a two hour car ride, listen to apex and abyss back to back. the music and the storytelling both are so phenomenal easily two of my favorite albums
Fascinating interview. I started watching this months ago, but I had something else to do, but now I watched from start to finish. Great questions. I love Unleash the Archers. I have all of their albums. Thank you very much for the insightful interview. The most amazing thing is that she can do it live. I wish you a Good New Year and all the luck in the world!
These videos are seriously awesome! Some of my favorite content on UA-cam hands down Mark. The back and forth is awesome. Thanks for putting these vids together.
Been hooked ever since I heard tonight we ride randomly on Spotify after getting back into listening to power metal and was like wtf is with these high ass notes. Love the song and love the band.
Her Twitch streams are really fun to watch, especially warm-ups and random song requests. Of course she had to kill Cemetery Gates and hit that last high note even Phil skipped at the end to keep up with the guitar wail like it was nothing 😄 Also thanks for the interview/reaction to both of you, really interesting to hear both your insights!
I think Cleanse The Bloodlines should be your next UTA reaction. The cinematic feel of the video and just how epic the whole song feels is truly amazing.
I love that Brit is singing along to it. When I first heard UTA, it was their Behold the Devastation album back in 09/10 and my mum actually pointed out that it was a female singer. I thought it was another male power metal vocalist and was surprised to see that she was correct. Been a huge fan since then!
This video would have been a perfect time to help them announce their tour dates, lol! Can't wait to see them and Aether Realm later this month in San Diego!
Brittany is like a superhero. She disguises herself as one of us mortals for interviews and day to day life…but then a microphone appears and she transforms into the metal goddess she is.
Hey, Mark, some more power metal would be cool. We know it's not your wheelhouse, but it's fun. Impressive also, when a band like Unleash the Archers is in. Battle Beast, Helloween, Rhapsody, Angra... Britney is so serious and focused while Mark is just having a blast airdrumming! lol
I know this is quite the request but for the next UTA reaction do The Wind that Shapes the Land it is a long song and doesn't have a video but I swear it is worth it
i love that she talked about hating the ahhs, made me think of time stands still, ''obandon the sun'', instead of ''abandon the sun.'' always wondered why she chose to pronounce it that way, interesting.
I would absolutely love to see you react to shawn james and the shapeshifters doing hunger off the bear album. Talk about grit and gravel in clean vocals honestly anything by him is pure gold but definitely something different for the channel
"I have one of those things for old people" HEY! I resemble that remark! Actually, they're really handy to keep your vitaminies organized. I've found out, unfortunately late in life, that being vitamin deficient can have all sorts of adverse effects. Now when traveling I have my "old people" pill organizer with me so I never miss a vitamin.
There’s an up and coming deathcore band called “The Archaic Epidemic”. Their EP Disillusion dropped a few weeks ago but there’s an absolute BANGER on it called DEN OF WOLVES. I would LOVE to see you do a vid on it!! A Ton of vocal variety on that track!
I love people getting all geeky about stuff they care about and are interested in, I could listen to that for all day! And she seems like such a well-grounded and genuine person 🥰 I wonder if you'd enjoy listening to some Triosphere, too, if you mean to dip your toe into some other metal genres. It's been kinda silent around them lately and has been a while since their last album came out, but for all that I know they were in studio last year. Their not exactly the same sub genre as UTA, but another cool, not so extremely well-known band, with an awesome lead singer (always loved Ida's lower end timbre clean vocals) and beautiful, somewhat melancholic and minor key-esque melodies, that still got a certain drive to them :)
I am continually amazed at the Jekyll-Hyde persona difference between Brittney and "stage Brittney". In interviews she's so down to earth if not outright reserved and humble unlike here stage demon-woman persona. It harken back to Dio and how warm and nice of a human being he was off stage.
Thank you for making me appreciate the art fom of singing and Unleash the Archers. See seems a nice person. Will you do an interview with Orbit Culture? New EP release on 24 september
Along with this interview here with EMRE, m.ua-cam.com/video/WjVF582uflg/v-deo.html , This is really the only interview with Brittney in which she goes fully in depth about her vocal technique and routine. Thank you very much for this fascinating listen!
what hit me when marc brought that "hate" example... I mean... the word is actually written hate, but the way you pronounce it, it should be written haet. this a-e sound, the diphtong did reallly shine there and this is something I never even bothered thinking about before.
Here's my theory about Brittney, the beginning of the video is her slipping and confirming to us that she is indeed an alien from race that is supremely well endowed vocally. HEHE! 😉
pretty wild how over time you can forget the techniques. i feel like this happened to the guy in the band gulch. used to have super raspy highs with a unique sound. they played a show recently for the first time since all this covid business, and the dude couldn’t hit the highs at all like he used to. i figure he just hasn’t practiced and kind forgot how to get those highs. this definitely happened to me before a few years ago when i stopped practicing, i lost my highs for a while and had to figure them out again.
Please react to Lovebites - the phenomenal all female heavy metal band from Japan who play as good as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Helloween and Metallica. They just released a new video and it is killer. Do "Set the World on Fire" ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html

Now I will wait for her to invite you into to a reaction to one of your songs. maybe Beyond sun and moon.
Go go.
Loved it! So much fun hearing two vocal nerds talking about one of my favourite songs and bands. I see the usual, popular powerhouse songs from UTA are being suggested, but I'd suggest doing "Legacy" from the same album. It's very different, both in structure and Brittany's choice of vocals.

Brittney truly is an awesome talent - this is a great summation of the passion for her craft!
Are you going to the Greensboro concert on September 10th by any chance? 😳
This is going to be so amazing! I can't wait to see Mark and Brittney nerd out over vocals. Her voice is intoxicating, and the whole band is wonderfully talented.
Totally agree !
Oh my God, I don’t know why there aren’t a bunch of comments from excited Unleash the Archers fans already… But this is crazy! I can’t wait to see Brittney!
Archers fan here !!! Just saw this and can not wait !!
I absolutely loved this video and being able to see Brittney's process and her thoughts on the why she does certain vocals. Such an amazingly powerful voice and I'm so happy she joined you for this reaction. Thank you Brittney and thank you for asking so many great questions Mark
Glad you enjoyed it dude, thanks so much for watching!
Mark seems like he gives stellar hugs.
id put Brittney in any top 5 singer list no question.
ABYSS IS SO GOOD. 42:00 always gives me chills in the song, the way it sort of wraps up what felt like an epic journey.
One of your best co reactions. Insightful, educational and a dope AF song and a cool cat to boot
Yeah, I loved this one! Thanks for watching!
Holy shit, no way!! I love Unleash the Archers! Brittney is an amazing vocalist!
This is so awesome i love Brittney she's one of the queens of metal. Yasss girl *headbangs*
You gotta do "General of the Dark Army", "Test Your Metal", or "Tonight We Ride". Some good, wide ranging moments in those
I agree with all of these, I would love General personally I love that song.
General of the dark army 10000%
cleanse the bloodlines to,
Both of those songs 10000000069% really
if you're ever on a two hour car ride, listen to apex and abyss back to back. the music and the storytelling both are so phenomenal easily two of my favorite albums
That sounds awesome, I'll have to try that out sometime!
Interview with Brittany is on my bucket list!!!! I have a ton of books...and cookies
Fascinating interview. I started watching this months ago, but I had something else to do, but now I watched from start to finish. Great questions. I love Unleash the Archers. Thanks for checking out the video - Brittney was a great guest!
These videos are seriously awesome! Some of my favorite content on UA-cam hands down Mark. The back and forth is awesome. Thanks for putting these vids together.
That's so awesome to hear, thanks for watching!
The first time I heard her vocals was a real goosebumps moment, so much power and talent in one voice.
I'd listen. as someone with no natural singing ability listening to two people with passion and talent talking about there subject is fascinating.
Been hooked ever since I heard tonight we ride randomly on Spotify after getting back into listening to power metal and was like wtf is with these high ass notes. Love the song and love the band.
Scott's hair is the real winner in this video!
I love Brittney she is my Metal Goddess.
What an awesome interview.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Aw yea! I love UTA. Great content as always!
Brit has joined my list of metal queens/goddess's
Loved the @LostHorizon shout-out from @BrittneySlayes was awesome! An underrated band that deserved a nod! 🤘🏻
ooooooh myyyyyy GOOOOOOOODDD
It's nice to know Brittney was inspired by Lost Horizon. That vocalist is a BEAST.
Absolutely. Shame you never see them on vocal reactions. Still waiting for someone dissecting "Highlander"!
Her Twitch streams are really fun to watch, especially warm-ups and random song requests. Of course she had to kill Cemetery Gates and hit that last high note even Phil skipped at the end to keep up with the guitar wail like it was nothing 😄
Also thanks for the interview/reaction to both of you, really interesting to hear both your insights!
A lot of really practical advice for vocalists in here on things I'd never considered before. Wonderful to hear her perspective!
Absolutely, thanks for watching!
So you'll get my like, because you talk to my queen and share it to us 🙏🏻
nice review and yes she's really good !And she sound really humble .
I think Cleanse The Bloodlines should be your next UTA reaction. The cinematic feel of the video and just how epic the whole song feels is truly amazing.
Thanks Brittany 🖤
I'm going to see Unleash the Archers on the 24th in Petaluma, and now I'll be bringing sour patch kids! That's such a great idea
its not fair that Brittney gets to be this talented and so beautiful 😭😭
It always makes me chuckle that Britney is able to keep smiling while singing and being sucked into the Abyss. LOL
I love that Brit is singing along to it. When I first heard UTA, it was their Behold the Devastation album back in 09/10 and my mum actually pointed out that it was a female singer. Can't wait to see them and Aether Realm later this month in San Diego!
I'm so surprised he didn't mention the crazy long sustained note at the end!
Brittany is like a superhero. She disguises herself as one of us mortals for interviews and day to day life…but then a microphone appears and she transforms into the metal goddess she is.

Aye Can't wait. Loved Seeing you in the campaign Yesterday. You are the Real Vox to me dammit.
UTA and Brittney are awesome ❣️🤗❤️🎶✨
That album was absolute perfection, rare for me to find an album where every single song is my favorite and there isn't a single one I skip.
Hell yeah, that's awesome!
I know this is quite the request but for the next UTA reaction do The Wind that Shapes the Land it is a long song and doesn't have a video but I swear it is worth it
HELL YEAH
HELL YEAH!
i love that she talked about hating the ahhs, made me think of time stands still, ''obandon the sun'', instead of ''abandon the sun.'' always wondered why she chose to pronounce it that way, interesting.
Brittaney Hayes yay songs so fun; Low voiceless to a wail would be fun.
I would absolutely love to see you react to shawn james and the shapeshifters doing hunger off the bear album. Talk about grit and gravel in clean vocals honestly anything by him is pure gold but definitely something different for the channel

"i hear a guitar solo so that tells me its a good time to pause ..." SAID NO ONE EVER
Right!
I love people getting all geeky about stuff they care about and are interested in, I could listen to that for all day! And she seems like such a well-grounded and genuine person 🥰

Marks such a goober! 😄
Orbit Culture just released a new song, carvings, i think you would like it!

Check out Lost Horizon - Highlander (The One)
the singer in there is definitely a huge influence on Brittney
Along with this interview here with EMRE, m.ua-cam.com/video/WjVF582uflg/v-deo.html , This is really the only interview with Brittney in which she goes fully in depth about her vocal technique and routine. Thank you very much for this fascinating listen!
Lost Horizon - Highlander (The One) analysis would be an amazing culmination of the foray into "power metal"!
Every time they say wails, replace it with whales. Then for instance, you get some crazy high whales 😂
what hit me when marc brought that "hate" example... I mean... the word is actually written hate, but the way you pronounce it, it should be written haet. this a-e sound, the diphtong did reallly shine there and this is something I never even bothered thinking about before.
UTA! UTA!
So many great songs this year….
Listen to Aviana - Rage
100 % amazing one of the best songs this year
🤘
"How can I control 'Ah' better? Where do I put this?"
My Ans : about F2 w/some fry... that's where I put 'Ah'.
... sorry that's all I got.
Love it how at times Brittney has to hold herself back from singing along during the song..... Just let it go 🎤🎤🙂
“From the mouth of the Abyss”, wait, wrong Abyss, wrong track, wrong artist.
Our Canadian Queen, we are not worthy \m/
Here's my theory about Brittney, the beginning of the video is her slipping and confirming to us that she is indeed an alien from race that is supremely well endowed vocally. HEHE! 😉

It's definitely somethinng that a lot of vocalists are grappling with right now in the wake of the pandemic, that's for sure!
Where, in the entirety of that last full minute, did she actually breathe, at all?
She has transcended the need for oxygen
@@KardavoxAcademy She has ascended to such rarified air, air refers to air as Brittney
Satan's Toilet would be a great band name.
Damn right!
Pssh! I would watch hours of Brittney reacting. Lol
Maybe next time!
I don't know why but I Love how she sings "(...)ation" (like in "imagination"). It's like one of those details I love. She's amazing
Do bloodmeat by protest the hero pls
I am begging you lol, react to brokden-osiah
Please react to Lovebites - the phenomenal all female heavy metal band from Japan who play as good as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Helloween and Metallica. They just released a new video and it is killer. Do "Set the World on Fire" ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html
28:30 I would think any really great performance is like running a marathon. You have to pace yourself other wise you would run out of gas.
Ease up on the cunnilingus Mark…
