I did many workouts, took personal training, no salt diet, reduced salt to 500mg per day and diet control...tried everything. But what worked for me is just pure walking. I started with 10000 steps a day right from day 1 and increased it to 20000 by day 4. It took almost 2.5 hrs to complete because I am a speedy walker. Within 2 months,i have lost around 16.5 kgs. My posture got corrected... back pain is gone... feel confident to go out. Never going back to the previous routine when i could enjoy my time in parks and just keep myself fit.

I started doing HIIT during pandemic time and I used to do for 30mins. But it was so painful the day after. The pain increases if you do on top of pain. Absolutely hated and barely saw much change in my weight. I started cycling soon after that and I really enjoyed it and spend more than an hour without noticing. It put less stress on my muscle and I could do it every single day and mentally it helped because of the nature. I would suggest pick an activity that you can enjoy and do every day which helps in the long term for losing weight.

Because what i personally felt is that gym has an ambience of mechanism machinary but no joy/happiness while working out which creates a tight mind..but see health isn't just about physical therapy but also emotional/mental/psychological.....when we do some sort of physical exercises trust me it should also balance emotionally and that i found in freestyle workouts swimming and playing games ( im a basketball player) a lot of fun with fitness 😅 😊

Your information is correct, but walking is still better than HIIT solely because of one thing- consistency. I started hiit two years ago, but I always got sore and skipped days, which led me to feeling depressed and drop the workouts. But two months ago I started to aim for getting 10k steps everyday and it has changed my entire life. The starting days were pretty hard, but I soon got the hang of it and it improved my mood, didn't make my body overwork, and I looked forward to doing it again! I got so hooked I even hit 20k steps ocassionally! I was pretty chubby, having a 29-31 inch waist almost since forever. And now I'm 27inches. Doesn't look much, but god it feels so amazing doing it. I've lost fat overall and recieved many compliments and I'm much happier than before when I used to cry that I couldn't complete an HIIT workout.

i tried HIIT 30MINS Cycling from GCN Network along with strength training morning cycling and evening 90mins of strength training the problem with HIIT is recovery so walking even to slow peace 10k steps in the morning and doing strength training in the evening is the best combo for me lost 8kg by walking and doing strength training yes HIIT will help you boast motablism but problem is your hunger level skyrockets even you burn 500 calories after coming back from hiit you will gonna eat more.

Oh chacha 10k step will burn fat only but HIIT will burn carb and fat. If your goal is fat loss, relief from depression stress or anxiety, better blood circulation, better heart health, do 10k step walking or if you want to feel extra hungry and lethargic at the same time go on do HIIT.

Hiit causes stress which leads to water retention and tiredness in body...avoid it at all costs...vry bad for pcos patients also. Saying frm My personal experience....walking is the best !

I did try HIIT. but I feel, even for a moderately active person, I try to clock 10k steps throughout the day, trying HIIT on my own felt a bit risky due to the injuries while performing exercise. So I think introducing HIIT gradually after strengthening the muscles under proper training is better.

High intensity interval training actually burns 500 calories an hour the same as slow jogging for an hour at 4.5 miles per hour.

Note that benefits of walking maximizes and plateaus at 10k. Walking 15k or 20k will still have no extra benefit.

If you look at it that way, fat loss starts at kitchen and if your in a caloric deficit of 500 and walk 10k steps, this will be astronomically better than HIIT which is not sustainable in long term
