@@JesusPPK I disagree with how you have framed the Catholic position. As Catholics we go by scripture and tradition. But as the church teaches, she is not above scripture but is subservient to it.
Can a Calvinist please help me out with a couple of questions in regard to Calvinism please: 1. Does God allow anyone to accept Christ or are we chosen from before birth whether we are saved or damned? 2. Does God love everyone (salvation love)? 3. Was John Calvin instrumental in killing a person(s)? 4. Can a person go to heaven if he/she disagrees with all 5 points of TULIP? Thank you and please make the answers short and to the point.
These can all be expanded on, but I️ hope they help: 1. Men are all dead in sin (eph. 2) and there are some he’s even made for destruction (1 pet. 2; Rom. 9). So no man can or will choose God. God, for His glory chooses to save some (Rom.9) when He didn’t have to choose any. 2. No not a salvation love. God loves believers and the elect specifically, but the outflow of his benevolence to the rest of the world is that of grace. He actually hates wicked people (Ps. 11:5) But God also does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezek.33:11). 3. No, he actually warned Servetus to not come to Geneva because he knew he would be arrested and killed (servetus denied the trinity). Crossway’s Biography on Calvin is good on this. 4. Yes, but it is grave error. Just as a new believer could be saved and not understand atonement yet. Usually as the believer grows you see a greater Scriptural knowledge leads to better theology, but the gospel is essential. Though the doctrines of grace are very closely linked to the gospel, so it is a red flag if someone rejects some clear teachings of predestination (eph. 1; Rom.8,9) eternal security (1 Pet.1:3-5;eph.1:13) and the like… Hope this helps friend! God bless you and since I️ haven’t met you, I️ pray you are trusting in Christ as Savior!
2:13 "a teaching of John Calvin must always take a higher and indeed, determinative, place."
I see what Warfield did there.
Sometimes its look like ,its easy someone to be saved ,sometimes impossible.
What is this from?
I remember when I used to be a Calvinist, now I'm a Catholic. One good thing about Calvinist is their zeal and love for scripture.
That's the complete opposite for a Catholic.
@@JesusPPK I disagree. Catholics have plenty of love and zeal for scripture. I myself became Catholic because of the Bible.
@alfreds.2335 How so when tradition via sola ecclesia is the measuring rod for what is truth in Catholicism?

@alfreds.2335 how can they still be subservient to scripture when they teach Marian dogma?
