Hubby and I were on the Viking Polaris from Nov 1-13th. The drake passage luckily was the Drake Lake both coming and going. It was an amazing adventure. Love those penguins and the beautiful icebergs.

I just finished watching your video. It was a great encapsulation of the cruise similar to the one we took the first week In November. However, my only negative comment was the sound of the camera clicking. It was very distracting.
That's the problem cruising with large vessels that house over 200 people, in your case Polaris can house over 600 passengers. Antarctica only allow 100 people to land at any given time for each ship. Also look for vessels with better Polar Class rating which allow better access to more challenging water. Obviously those cruises would cost a lot more but you get what you pay for.
I believe Polaris maximum capacity for passengers is 378.
Polaris and Octantis are Polar Class 6 ships.
