I have had an x-fire project underway on and off for the paat couple of years. Was going to use the gm 7747 ecu with Moates programming but I have been giving more thought to the microsquirt instead. mS looks more intuitive than the gm. This is going on a 250hp gm crate motor. BTW, thanks for the x-fire content.
What’s it going in? A 7747, or even a stock 5055/6026 is more than capable of running a stock 350 target motor. They’re nothing more than a 929 cam (which is basically a broomstick) and usually a “hecho in mexico” 882 or 993 equivalent head. A ported base, along with a FP and timing bump would be more than adequate. If for whatever reason you think you need more than that, I’d look into a HAM board/EBL from Xfireperfomance.com
The stock plate is shaped very differently than the one that goes on the Renegade. Making a new top plate is very easy though. The 3/8” plate is the same thickness as the one supplied by DCS with the manifold, and has a machined finish. It’s an easy project.
it would be cool if someone made a top plate for these that would accept like a Holley Sniper system.
The plate itself is easy to make. You can make a plate to run almost anything you want. But then it wouldn’t be a Crossfire anymore.
@@Joesmusclecargarage if you put 2 on there it would lol
I have an early production. Renegade intake manifold I think it’s #0004 bought from DCS. Fit and finish was perfect and easy install.

Nice! I 'm interested in it once you are done!
Great video! Very informative!
Looking great. Hope it sits perfect! Silly question, couldn’t you just reuse the stock plate?
