I like the blue LED lighting. This past fall I restored my new Sony STR-7045, from 1973, that is essentially identical to your STR-6055. I replaced all the power supply capacitors and every single audio coupling capacitor with Nichicon audio grade electrolytics and film capacitors when I could. I think it was 28 capacitors in total. I found the Sony to be beautifully built (that tuning capacitor cover 😍!) and rather easy to work on. The original service manual is fantastic and well worth the money. New caps opens up the sound of the receiver wide open with my newly restored 1973 Large Advent loudspeakers as well as lowering the noise floor. My 7045 originally had green lighting using painted incandescent bulbs. But I went for the full all-out green LED light display. Think 1950’s science fiction drive-in horror movie in Technicolor like “The Blob” from 1958, Steve McQueen’s first feature film.
I love mine, just picked one up for $200, but am radio not working . I had one in college in 1971. Where did you get the blue dial lights? Mine has the standard green.

Check out the oscillator transistor. The LED fuselamps were already installed when it hit my bench. I buy them online when needed.
@@acrossthedial thank you very much!
