Unfortunately, fatalis stun is just a stagger. It only falls down when the horns break. However if you use felyne bombardier instead of slugger, it'll help with sticky damage.
I know that Feylyne + slugger 5 has more comfort because you don't have to hit them in head that many times. However, I'm just curious that does it yield more stun-knockdowns than slugger 3 + impact in, let's say, a 10 or 15 minutes hunt?
Yes as we explained in the video impact mantle isn't ideal to depend on for stuns. Here goes the math: Impact mantle usage : 90 seconds Recharge time : 360 seconds Basically you use it for 1 and 1/2 minute and wait 6 minutes. You're just doing 72 stun damage for those 6 minutes. Instead of 176 which is more than double. Let's take 10 minute example. - First 30 seconds finding monster or buffing. - Until 2nd minute used up impact mantle. - Until 8 minutes no impact mantle. - Then use again until 9 and half - 30 seconds later quest is done. If this is a 15 minute run then the next 5 minutes you are on cool down and you have been going by slugger 3 for 12 minutes out of 15 (80%) of your hunt. Not to mention the monster will be wallshot-ed by team mates or sleep or paralysis or you stunned it yourself. In those times yes you can build up stun meter but then you cannot get a stun which wastes impact mantle usage. Impact mantle is good if you want to get that last bit of cherry on top perfection.
