In case these authors aren't mentioned in your part 2 video.....Barbara Neeley, Pamela Samuels Young, Rachel Howzell Hall, Attica Locke, Persia Walker. I'm sure there's more...these are just the authors I've read. Here are a few African american cozy mystery authors I've read ....V.M. Burns, A.L. Herbert, Kellye Garrett(haven't read hers yet).
Barbara Neeley is an old favorite for sure. All the others except Attica Locke are new to me. Can you hear my hand furiously writing them down? My part 2 will focus on other mysteries I own but they aren't written by African American females. Thank you so much for taking the time to add to my list. Have a blessed weekend!
I looked up Pamela Thomas-Graham's bio, and I am blown away by her resume. Very impressive. I first learned of McKinsey when listening to the book Grit by Angela Duckworth. Very interesting. I'll definitely be adding A Darker Shade of Crimson to my too-long TBR.
Thanks for sharing. I have a Darker Shade of Crimson. Her late husband was a writer of note as well Lawrence Otis Graham. He is famous for “Our Kind of People” and “Member of the Club.” I have 6 Valerie Wilson Wesley books. Eleanor Taylor Bland sounds so familiar I’m going to search to see if I have any of her books.
Wow, thanks Sharon for sharing the information about Lawrence Otis Graham. I was not familiar with him and I just went down the rabbit whole to discover he was pretty terrific. I hope you find some of Eleanor's books. I purchased some used ones from thriftbooks.com.
Hello Sharon! I hope you get a chance to pick some of this books up. They are really fantastic. I am enjoying the mysteries I am reading this month. It's always fun to learn about new-to-me authors/books. Happy reading!
Thank you so much for this video and your recommendations, I've been trying to find a video like this for a while, always looking for new mystery authors to check out! So many of these sound like something I'll love so my tbr just got a little longer.

The Blanche White Mysteries By Barbara Neely are also very good!
Grafton Daniels I love the Blanche series. Blanche is a strong character that speaks her mind.
Nice! Thank for sharing because I don't know any of these authors...
Happy to share some new ones with you. Let me know if you read any of them!

I will like to find those Nora DeLoach books but they are not available ☹️
This is where I buy her books:
www.thriftbooks.com/browse/?b.search=Nora%20deloAch#b.s=mostPopular-desc&b.p=1&b.pp=30&b.oos&b.tile
Keep audio journals on recorder apps.
What the Fly Saw is great!
Shenelle Gaston I am glad to hear that because I haven’t heard about it on Booktube and didn’t know anyone whom has read it.
