Glad to hear you guys liked it! I was already pumped for the games but this solidified my hope that I'll enjoy them. Loved the return of the duo review too!
Every nitpick you had ( tedious searching for clues and not being handheld through) is actually a positive to me. Literally cannot wait to play this on Friday!!!
I'm excited to pick these up a bit down the road when I've got time for them, even with the bits of jank it sounds like they can have. I've also gotta throw out there that something you guys said just clicked in my mind: One of the last two Smash DLC characters has a decent chance of being the FDC protagonist, I'd never even thought about it before!
Who could've predicted Nintendo would hire the team behind Steins;Gate to remake one of their oldest and most obscure series? I know I didn't! It kind of makes my imagination run wild though. Like... what if they do some other Nintendo visual novels like Time Twist: On the Outskirts of History, Shin Onigashima or Hajimari no Mori! Or alternatively, a new Mysterious Murasame Castle game by or WayForward
Just beated the Missing Heir. Spoilers: That part you mention in the review you stuck two hours cause of not picking Quit Investigation I find it strange cause for me the game put the option in yellow after trying every other option with the depressed Zenzou.
This is definitely a pick up down the road. Does anyone have experience playing a game like this with a significant other? Because that might be what i do with these
I played the SNES version of a girl who stands behind and found Ayumi to be a fairly forgettable character. Perhaps the remakes make her feel a lot more useful then she was in that version. I also get the impression she does a lot more in The Missing Heir which I'm excited to finally play.
Both together as a $60 package doesn't seem bad to me, but it would be more justifiable if it were a physical release. I get it tho, releasing these are a risk for Nintendo, and its one I plan to support.
@@jackcimino8822 The Wario games aren't exactly known for deep narratives. Sakamoto CAN do great gameplay. His work on the 2D Metroid games show that, and even Other M would've been great to play if it only allowed for the nunchuk. It's in his storytelling, especially in recent years, that I have to think twice.
"The Girl Who Stands Behind is a prequel, despite releasing a year later..." Despite? It wouldn't be a prequel if it released before the first one.

It's a joint review, but OF COURSE Ash is the one to bring up the music XD
The joint has a nice aroma, not too long and 3.5 inches, but heartily packed. Now that's a joint review.
Having to go through every option to trigger story progression? That takes me back to my first time playing Phoenix Wright on the DS hahahaha.
I wanna see that 3rd one get a remake and even more I’d love to see a brand new detective club game
Wish there were more circumstances in which we could have a two person review well done!
Well done gentlemen
So I played through the Missing Heir today. I loved most of the story, but the main culprit was type-casted really hard.
This was a solid review guys.
Hearing your thoughts on the games makes me excited for them even more!
Just hearing how much effort was put into these games I'll pick it up at my earliest opportunity. This kind of thing needs to be done more often.
1:53 "The girl who stands behind while Steve tackled the missing air" Perfect quote for GVG out of context. :D
I wonder if Steve noticed the homage that Lost Judgement pays to the Girl who stands behind.
I like the dual review style

4:29 Ohhhh, so that’s how she’d fight in Smash.
Thanks for the review!!
Part 2 of a 2 person review and its good. What a double feature

Wow, those soundtrack options sound super cool!
GVG coming through again. Two thumbs way up.

I would LOVE Time Twist, but I think Murasame has so much potential for a 2.5D remake. It still holds up as one of the best Famicom games imo
An amnesiac protagonist is what intrigued you? Yeah?
which one should be played first?
Just beated the Missing Heir.

this was fun to listen
Me: *has played ace attorney 3 times straight and sees this
Me: I been waiting for this one!! TURN IT UP
Where is the final score?
How long is each game?
8 hours aprox
If only this game is eligible on voucher, i would get this
This and Emio are on the voucher now if you haven't got them
@@randomduck8679 now its up for consideration

Is this game hard?
Genshin is just The Judge from Pheonix Wright, right?
The Judge didn’t get a game named after him.
Shin Onigashim and Yuyuki are next, right?
Since the games are digital only in the U.S., you think Limited Run Games will make their own physical copies of them in collaboration with Nintendo?
Looks good, I might consider it if Nintendo can do a paid English Dub DLC.
I would like it if you guys react to the kof xv trailers that would be cool
I don't think any of them know enough about the series to get much out of it
What's even more funny is that fact that all these characters in Famicom Detective Club are Nintendo's IP same as Mario, Link, Samus and Fox Mccloud.

She did also have her own game too so that probably gave her even more development.
No English voice acting?
No
Japanese voice only. But English subtitles
😂
Each game is kinda expensive. I know you can get a $10 discount for buying both, but still.
You should see some VNs that go up to $60-$80.
In comparison price is fine

Not worth the price imo, The silver case and world end club looks better
I just wish they'd gone that extra step with adding a dub, text heavy games aren't sorry ideal for me sadly.
"Yoshio Sakamoto wrote these."
Uh... what? Now I'm a bit weary of them...
These are actually great, nothing to do with Other M. Sakamoto knows how to tell a story when he truly wants.
Don't you forget that Sakamoto was in charge of the Wario games too?
@@jackcimino8822 The Wario games aren't exactly known for deep narratives.

@@ChiruKobra Reminder that he did Dread as well. Sakamoto only has Other M as a miss in terms of story at the moment.
