Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down House Of The Dragon.

The trailer for Season 2 episode 5 is now out and in this video we're gonna go through it all. As always we'll be talking about the easter eggs and also discussing what happens in the books. Because of this there will be heavy spoilers so if you haven't had a chance to check it out then check out now. This will also talk about the end of episode 4 and yeah...like...I dunno why you'd be here without seeing it but you get the odd numpty. Anyway with that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into House Of The Dragon.

Now we begin with a very symbolic shot of Alicent and Aemond standing at the red keep. This is of course where the kingdom is ruled from and these two figures are now in charge.
Larys said to Aegon earlier in the season that there were rumours the pair were gonna take over and this has now come to pass. In the show, Aemond was clearly about to off his brother and we saw at the coronation how he looked at him with envy. Guy also didn't really care about burning him either and I wonder if they'll build into his character that he's been seeking power on purpose.
This is perfectly shown to us at 35 seconds where we catch him staring at the throne. - Розваги

In the books Aemond didn't want the throne but yes he didn't hesitate. Sunfyre was really injured and Meleys was paraded in the streets so pretty accurate.

There is 100% no question, aemond tried his best to kill aegon with that dragonfire, he is a seasoned dragon rider and the Flames didn't touch rhaenys or meleys, he knew exactly what he was doing

The Targaryens are a threat to their own house. How on earth do you parade the head of a dead dragon on the streets of kingslanding? You're basically letting the people know that dragons aren't as unkillable as they thought. That is most likely going to motivate them to storm the dragonpit.
True targaryens would NEVER. Even Otto wouldn't have let that happen. Viserys shouldn't have gotten remarried period.

If Viserys had just not remarried, he would have left a peaceful realm for decades with Rhaenyra ruling it. Otto was always the voice of reason Aegon had. Replacing him with Cole was the worst decision.

I KNOW the dragons aren’t real, but I hated seeing them hurt and killed. Viserion’s death in GOT was hard for me to watch. And I know that there will be more dragons dying to the point of their extinction and I kind of hate it.

So my question is strategically why didn't the blacks send all their dragons to battle at once. The greens only have two fighting dragons one of which is the kings so wouldn't expect him to go to war (drunk Aegon not withstanding), the blacks have four (Caraxes not included) and three of them are faster than Aemonds, so their best bet would be to send at least Baela, Jace and Rhaenys all at once with the two smaller dragons giving cover and interference?
i don’t think they expected the greens to send a dragon at rook’s rest. As far as for Jace and Baela, his mom won’t let Jace near the battlefield because of her fear of him dying since he’s heir. For Baela, i don’t think Rhaenys would’ve wanted her on the battlefield with her
I am with you. It was such as easy trap to spot. Should have sent them all. Fear of death in war cannot be a reason to not attack.
I thought the same thing. As soon as she decided to attack I was like “send 3 dragons.” I wasn’t even thinking of the trap but just to show force. Let word spread about the havoc that three dragons caused on that battle field.
I think daemon would lose it if Baella died and he wasn't there to help her or even find out about it till he received an r-mail.
If only they had the dragon seeds at that point. I can't imagine Vhagar could handle Meleys, Vermithor, and Seasmoke all at the same time!
Alicent is on the way to being more hated than Cersei. Even thought I didn’t care for Aegon, I did feel his character arc was changing and felt bad that Aemond did what he did. Poor Sunfyre….I will always be sad about Meleys and Rhaenys because I knew it was coming and they were great on screen and on the page too.
Tbh Aegon flying out might seem dumb but literally nobody expected Meleys and Rhaenys to show up expect Criston and Aemond. Aegon only knew about Moondancer and Baela patrolling the area, which would've probably meant no sweat for Sunfyre. And yes, seeing Meleys and not retreating was actually foolish, but at least brave and daring.

In Aegon’s defense, she was currently hailing fire on HIS troops and him showing up stopped that. I bet the greens will spin this into a king rushing to the ground troops’ aid and taking out a bigger dragon while being wounded.

Noticed a fun Easter Egg. It's one of those "blink and you'll miss it moments." At around the 29:12 minute mark of this episode, Daemon drinks whatever Alys Rivers made for him to sleep better at night. When Daemon comes to (regains consciousness) there's a cool rolling fade-in camera shot (a camera trick seen in Dune Part 1 -- The Gom Jabbar scene -- but in reverse). It's a great use of camera work to help enhance the character's moment of confusion, disjointedness or awakened from an almost dream like state. Overall, this episode was awesome!

Daemon and Aemond are literally different sides of the same coin. These 2 pretty much make the show. Once they have their showdown the show will lose a lot of appeal. It will still be great though

IVE BEEN THINKING THAT... Like Helena having Maelor with Aemond and the maesters just didn't write it as it was since they may have gotten in trouble for it, you know?
Rhaenys could have won the fight but idk why she didn't attack when vhagar was down on the ground and why she chose to stay close to the ground going back when she could have easily gone higher as her dragon was young and fast she could've used all these things to her advantage. The blacks could've planned this better with rhaenys attacking first and daemon joining at the right time. It seems only the greens are planning their moves and the black are just doing whatever comes to mind
I just read the leaks and I think a lot of people will be very upset about some major changes to the book.😮
