I hope and pray they have a special "ARF" flying division, and are not allowing ARF's into ANY kind of model judging, period!! I have some ARF's myself and they are great flyings models, but they have NO place in a scale judging competition against hand built scale models. A ARF flying division is fine, but not against hand built and crafted scale models. Anyway, you don't build a ARF, all you're doing is assembling it, and if they are judging the scale outline, the winner would be the manufacture. Nice flying!!
I am In sportsman. The model isn’t judged only the pilots flying. Now to compete in the higher classes the model must be built. Take a look at the Top Gun rule book it’s available on their website.

It’s not a bandana. It’s a Hachimaki which was worn by WWII pilots as a sign of confidence and courage when flying Zeros especially on kamikaze missions. WTF are you talking about be sensible? You sound like a tool bag.
