I remember my mum saying to me 2 years ago whenever I was in the hospital recovering from after having emergency stomach surgery, she told me, sweetheart, i wish it was me in your condition, rather that yourself.
I had an earring stuck in my ear only a few years ago, when I was about 14. I had no laughing gas or anything, the doctor just shoved it out. And it hurt, as it had kinda grown into my ear! But I was still happy it was out... Oliver is a very brave boy. I hope he has a bright future!
The trick about the earrings is that you aren't supposed to push the backing tight against the back of the earlobe. Lack of air circulation not only lead to embeddement it can also lead to infection .I just put the backing on the tip of the post, just enough for it to stay on. Then again the mom nor the little girl are the blame. Most likely the little girl pushed it in too tight because she's too young to understand. I've never had such problem at age 5, my ears weren't even pierced until I was almost 16. That looks painful through, removing a stuck earring . Probably hurt worse than ear piercing, which would also make little girls cry.
That's doctor Rothera. I know him well. He fixed my burst eardrums as a child. Now I have ear ache and he needs to see me asap. So trying to get me in to see him.
I barely got my ears pierced about two weeks ago. And the first day I got it pierced, it got embedded in my ear a little. And my boyfriend had to rip it my ear and I blead and cried a lil. I'm 16 and it was my 5th time getting it done
Cerebral Palsy and Schizophrenia Warrior 2017 it's not scary. you don't have to worry about it. as long as you clean your ear and make sure it's not too tight. it won't get embedded. it might get infected and that's ok. but other than that it's fine
I was having a pretend sword fight with pencils in detention with another girl when I was around 7. All of a sudden she's standing there, pencil gone, and I see it sticking up out of my little finger! Pulled it out myself but the end broke off and the graphite tip is still there, 42 years later. Ah, memories!
I've had earrings since I was 6 and never had a issue until now. My left ear lobe keeps bleeding and getting infected because of cheap metal. My right ear is perfectly good and I'm stretching it.
Tori McCool I've dislocated my left knee 7 times and has a knee reconstruction and dislocated but right knee 2 times and having a another knee reconstruction on my right later this month

Oliver's ability to communicate with his own version of sign language and gestures is astounding. He's a very intelligent boy, I wish him the best!

angelica Romero I'm almost 15 years old now and I don't want to even wear earrings when I'm 16 in 2 years because you've made it sound so scary

Okay thanks. That's very re-assuring
I think the young fella that got the bit of pencil stuck beneath his thumbnail, led (lead) him into a spot of bother ;-)
