That was a great sequence by Savard for sure. Another great play by Savy with the Habs was when a F on the other team fell down in front of the Habs net. The guy was facing the Habs net with his back exposed to the blue line. 1 of his teammates took a super hard slappshot that was going to smoke him right in the back, and possibly in the spine. Savy saw this and threw himself on the ice and blocked the shot preventing the guy from being seriously injured.

Back in my day when you bought a pair of hockey skates, you could actually use them to skate. Now, if you buy a pair of hockey skates, you basically get a boot and have to pay tons of money for the actual skate blade itself. It would be like buying a car and then having to buy the seats separately. It would be like buying a goalie mask, but the cage and the back plate are sold separate. Imagine taking an Uber and then having to pay to open the door. That’s as ridiculous as selling hockey skates that you can’t skate on without buying something else. I don’t think they should even legally be allowed to call them hockey skates anymore, they should be forced to call them hockey boots. That’s really what you’re buying.
