Edmonton have learned NOTHING from their issues that plagued them throughout last season, and no doubt in my mind that Cup final loss has taken so much more of the wind out of their sails than was initially thought.
The Oilers have been making a habit of terrible starts that get coaches fired. My biggest question now is will they turn it around in time to keep Knoblauch around...

Life long hawks fan and I love that teams sleep on the hawks like they are some cake walk. The hawks play with more heart than some of the most talented teams in the league and I love it!

Oh look, when the Oilers are forced to play 5-on-5 they suck. Their miracle run last year relied on being gifted four and five powerplays a night. Now the tables of turned. It's going to be a long season in Edmonton.
They were 3rd in powerplay production last year, yeah it definetly helps allot but they still produced 5 on 5 now the real weakness for this season is the defence which got worse already having lacked depth last year

Another GREAT game from the Edmonton Oilers! 😜This time they conceded only 5 goals (not 6!!) 🤣Their penalties kill - superb 33%, power play excellent “ZERO” %. 😂😂And what a GREAT addition to the team - new defender Ty Emberson! He has every game (-2)😂. After paying mediocre Nurse 🤑$9 million a year, the Oilers don't have the money to keep good defensemen like Philip Broberg. They just keep picking up trash players all over the league. 🤑I’ m sure that with such wonderful goaltenders like Stuart Skinner (SV% = .615)😝 and Calvin Pickard (SV% = .75%) 😜Oilers must win another Stanly Cup!😩😩

Oilers are pure trash right now. Can't finish and it must feel like the net is half the size. Low effort starts and they end up 2-3 goals down without giving up that many shots. There were times last year the Oilers would be down in a game like this and score 4 or 5 unanswered. They're gonna get their coach fired if they keep this up.

Edmonton on average, is the oldest team in the league -> so they may take another 20 regular season games to find their grove, and they'll go on a 20 game heater. Though I don't think the goaltending on Edmonton holds up this year, and look at how well the Flames are playing, I want the battle of Alberta to be competitive again.
