    Never watch this show but I was so pleasantly surprised by several elements: 1) Bill and Alan are much more knowledgeable about religion that I ever imagined-which I really enjoyed though I'm an Atheist 2) Alan's courage to discuss his mental health issues 3) Alan is much smarter and thoughtful than I would have stereotyped him to be. Really enjoyed this.

    • @MyCommonSenses
      @MyCommonSenses 5 місяців тому

      Hello Bonfire.... I'm sorry to say, but Bill really is not knowledgable at all about religion, at all. You can clearly tell his knowledge is from internet memes, that serious atheists are honest and happy to debunk. Alan, equally, either did not want to, or couldn't correct Bill on some very disingenuous remarks about Jesus and Christianity.
      Bill uses his platform to regularly spread these religious internet fallacies because he's what called a lazy atheist. He tries to appeal to authority, to back up his claims, but I bet if he was confronted and asked to provide a credible source to back these, you'd see him quickly move onto another subject and say "I'm tired of these religious talks, let's talk about those cool sneakers, where'd you get those?"
      He's just another ill-informed atheist. You'll find plenty of them down your local sports bar, but the difference is, he has a platform watched by thousands of gullible people on the internet who buy into his nonsense.
      It's not like he is an expert at anything, or seen as a voice of reason. He is a comedian, he is only good at making fun of things. Bill feels the need to either make people laugh, or ridicule them for not having the same views and opinions as him. Quite sad really when you think about. His insecurities and feeling empty, isn't comforted in Christ or God's word, instead he covers it up with humor.

My son, if he didn't live home for a few years and work and go to school, wouldn't have had any down payment. Not with rents so high. He works in a school but 40-50,000 a year is average and rent eats a lot of it. He doesn't drink or gamble, pretty boring and still it took a long time to buy. @MyCommonSenses 5 місяців тому

      Exactly. Why can't people see this as well?

      I do agree however it’s junk food. It feels like Yellowstone in a sense in that it’s like shows about conservative male fantasies, the dialogue is so hammed up at times and way too obvious in its messaging. The plots are always predictable but the target audience doesn’t care, they want their red meat, nothing crazy.
